From the early gameplay with K'rrik that I've seen keeping K'rrik in play can be an issue. So playing cards like Kaya's Ghostform and Darksteel Plate is a good idea

Oh my gosh, it's ANY cost, not just spell cost, (meaning you can extort basically for free!, In a 3+ player gain you gain life back by spending life! I knew he was busted, but this is even better!

Extort don't have a cost, you have to expend mana for the trigger.

(K'rrik rules from Gatherer) If a cost contains a mana symbol that may be paid in multiple ways, such as Black or Red, Phyrexian Black, or Two or Black, you choose how you’ll pay it before you do so. If you choose to pay Black this way, K’rrik’s ability allows you to pay life rather than pay that mana. 2. (EDH Rules Committee) "With the release of Gatecrash, we'd like to clarify our stance on Extort by confirming that, as always, reminder text has no effect on color identity. Extort adds no colored mana symbols to a card outside of its reminder text, and therefore is legal for play in Commander decks of any color or colors (as long as the card it appears on is otherwise legal, of course). There will be no updates to the rules in the foreseeable future that affect how Extort works in Commander."

I've played Chancellor of the Dross before, and every time I used the opening hand thing I was the first one attacked by all 3 players. That's the only one I disagree with.

Instead of tendreals I'd play corrupt or both, for one more mana corrupt deals damage to target layer or creature

I don't feel like he will be banned. I've been playing a lot in my new play group and no one seems to have issues with him when he hits the board.

He gets hated on very hard in my playgroup. They target me as soon as he hits the table. But the deck is fun and very powerful.

But that’s assuming you don’t have any of the cards, which probably isn’t the case, so you should save some money. It’s really not that much considering it’s 100 cards anyway.

Yep, you can play swamp, dark ritual, sol ring (or some mox) and play this fela turn1, after necropotence in the same time. Totally broken.

Just going to leave this here K’rrik’s ability doesn’t modify or reduce costs you pay. It changes only how you may pay those costs. 8/23/2019You can’t pay 2 life to pay for generic mana in costs you pay, even if an effect says that you must spend black mana to pay that generic mana. 8/23/2019If a cost contains a mana symbol that may be paid in multiple ways, such as B, B/R, you choose how you’ll pay it before you do so. If you choose to pay this way, K’rrik’s ability allows you to pay life rather than pay that mana. 8/23/2019K’rrik’s ability lets you pay 2 life for B in any cost you pay, including casting costs, activation costs, and even costs for special actions (such as morph). Any time you pay mana, that’s a cost. 8/23/2019K’rrik’s last ability resolves before the spell that caused it to trigger. It resolves even if that spell is countered.

you can't expend life for the extort trigger because it is neither a cost nor it is in the rules text of the card, it is reminder text.

most broken card i've seen in the last 10 years. they will ban this guy when too many people will start crying. don't get me wrong, i'm in love with this card and will have a deck around him. i'm a black player but this card is totally fucking busted!!
