I made a shadowborn apostle storm deck with this it wins on turns 6 to 10. I also made a more competitive version with doomsday mikaeous and triskellion it wins on turns 3 to 5. It only lost to me not drawing one of my reanimates and someone playing mono white control "players can't pay life or sacrifice creatures to activate abilities or cast spells" and he slapped lightning greaves on it. Oh and one person blew up all my lands as soon as I threatened turn 2 k'rrik.
Also You won't exactly need the reliquery tower or at least I haven't needed it. When I've played it the turn you go off is when you draw the most cards and you tend to win that turn. And cabal therapy is great 1 mana name a nonland card look at target players hand if that player has the named card discard it. Flashback sacrifice a creature. First cast check the blue player for counter magic second cast meme and name abandon hope.
I'm trying to build him right now actually for casual play. I just enjoy a lot of the black theme in general. The problem for me though is that I don't know what my "win condition" is supposed to be. I don't want to doomsday combo off on turn 3. I enjoy laid back games that last a good hour or so. I see the extort mechanic in here, and I see lots of big mean black creatures. Yet I'm just not sure what my goal should be. Grind it out until I can win with a bomb Torrent of Hailfire? Lol Try and do the green approach and win with big stompy black creatures? Honeslty I could see the Soul Conduit being a win condition.
That's a bad idea to put him out too early when you dont have mana up to protect him. What are you gonna do when someone does "turn 1 plains, path" now your commander costs 2 more for nothing.
tHaT cArD iS bAnNeD... Yeah, if you are playing in a tournament... These are the same people who explain to you after every game the 50 ways they could have won the game. If you are playing mono black good stuff with K'rrik and not a doomsday combo deck then I see no issue with running cards like Recurring Nightmare and Yawgmoth's Bargain.
Absolutely broken commander, me and my friend have crafted a demon tribal deck around him since you can obviously cheat them out so easily with this commander.
