Some of the emotion is gone in parts though, like shepards facial expressions when giving Dr Chakwas her selerian brandy. But they did a good job for the most part
***** It's probably a conscription ad featuring a tape of Shepard headbutting Wreav saying "Tired of being a weak grunt? Join Clan Urdnot now and become a true warrior! *music plays: fight like a krogan, run like a leopard* (Sponsored by honorary krogan Jane Shepard. No krogan were harmed during the making of this video. DO NOT TRY AT HOME.)
@@thebilldozer7970 Yeah, I was still playing mass effect two when a power surge fried my xbox last night... Yep. And it was on the overworld mission as well, shocking coincidence really.
I want you to know, no matter what happens: you've been a champion to the Krogan people, a friend of clan Urdnot and a brother to me. To every Krogan born after this day, the name Shephard will mean Hero!
That reminds me of a thing from Warld War 2, spoken by Winston Churchill. "They say that the Greeks fought like heros. From this time forward, they will say that heros fight like Greeks."
I can just imagine this happening in Andromeda: Comms Officer: Sir, we've got a transmission from...the Citadel? Ryder: Open it. Message: "...You'll never be better than Commander Shepard."
That could be how Bioware (if it survives or comes back solo with the Mass Effect IP in their possession) brings on ME4. Going with the ending where Shepard survives, you awaken to the destroyed Citadel a year (or two) afterwards in the containment and capture of some space pirates, have to take them out as the Tutorial, and make contact with the Normandy.
Kawaii Atlas the Grey warden has to be my favorite. I could never really get into my commander Shepard. I never could really like any of the companions either. But for dragon age I'm in love with every bit of every second of that amazing game.
I really want Bioware to implement this song into Mass Effect 4 and play it some club on the citadel or Omega. And when the new main character hears it he must be like "Hmmm" :DD Bioware please
TedruUges Except that since the game takes place in Andromeda, The Citadel and Omega will be about 2.5 million light years or 237,000,000,000,000,000,000 kilometers away, which is a bit of an impractical distance to traverse just for some shore leave.
Its funny how even after all these years I STILL quote this song when discussing my infatuation with Commander Shepard. She's genuinely my hero in real life and I think this song perfectly encapsulates what she stood for perfectly.
No matter what scars you bear Whatever uniform you wear You can fight like a Krogan Run like a leopard But you'll never dance better than Commander Shepard :D
this song needs to be put in the game. I know MOS will be whipping up a Andromeda song when the game comes out. This song is what made me sub years ago. I still keep coming back for this whenever I need a smile on my face
According to the wiki- "If Wreav is the leader of Clan Urdnot, when Shepard is going to activate the Maw Hammers, he'll tell Shepard to 'Fight like a krogan', a reference to the song "Commander Shepard" by Miracle of Sound"
It's almost like this is being sung to the next Mass Effect's protagonist. Hate to say it, but the next guy/gal has a loooooot to live up to. Probably won't be able to.
WittyUsernameSA ok, this actually made my afternoon...now i cannot unsee the situation where commander shepard rubs his successes in face of next protagonist...
Why should I not buy a game simply because I believe it won't match up to the original series? Should I not eat spaghetti simply because I like steak more? Should I not wear a green shirt simply because I prefer blue? You're not making any sense here.
How dare you support the False King's claim...Hail Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons
Kathic You talk about you kings and queens like its the best form of goverment and you havn't even seen the order justice and undying loyalty of the Terran Republic! And it's people righteous battle cry STRENGTH IN UNITY! LOYALTY UNTIL DEATH!
I really hope this song is referenced in Mass Effect Andromeda (seeing as you will likely be playing a brand new character), it could be played at a particular bar like on Omega or the Citadel if they are in the game.
+Mel Thorn Let's make a hastag of it, and start spamming their Twitter, RU-vid and Facebook account together with the link of this vid so that they cant ignore the fans. :D Something like #ShepardMementoME4 (if you have better idea I'm open)
@@WorldByTheTale no i did not. see chuck norris, while a real person, is overrated and mistakenly assumed to be a badass by some people, even though there's no apparent reason. honestly, he is just a bad actor. shepard, on the other hand, is indeed fictional, but that does not make him any less of a badass, i don't recall chuck norris ever headbutting a krogan. furthermore, i will add, that your argument that one needs to exist in the real world in order to be a badass is ridiculous and without merit. better luck next time ^_^
@@ransherman1611 There are dozens of reasons why Chuck Norris is an incredible badass. You're just ignorant. Chuck is a Brazilian JuJitsu Blackbelt and a karate world champion. He was a world class martial artist for 20 years before he ever did a single movie or TV show. Bruce Lee started his movie career when he cast him as his main antagonist in "Return of the Dragon".
***** You can't really compare them.. I love them in their own ways and could never compare them. I just love both and im so exited for the next games too come!
***** I completely agree with you! The first time i played Fallout and Mass effect it was like stepping into another world! I might sound cheesy but seriously i was amazed with how good the games and the stories where! And believe you me after your done with the first game you will LOVE the second and third.
One of the greatest Science Fiction, no... Futuristic Stories ever told, and gaining so much with its interactivity. A pillar to the potential of all Sapient Beings, life altering tale, a supremely, and deeply researched, bold and present vision of our possible future. A marvel, a cultural treasure of this day.
The fans would never be happy with a mass effect movie, they couldn't even decide what gender Shepard would be without alienating half the fans, never mind the love interest. (Also I feel the aliens would not look as good in a movie, Asaris would probably look creepy and turians would probably not look cool, there's so much that they can screw up it hurts)
I don't think you realize how stupid that statement is. You don't alienate people with a gender, you alienate them by making the gender(if female) a stereotypical blond. That's really it...
Red Bard I have, a lot of them are idiots, but most of them are not. If sombody won't buy something because of a gender being defined, they are sexist, and probably not someone you should pander too in the fist place.
***** Can be more or less depending on where you ask your question(a feminist blog will ave almost everyone picing female for instance), but 20% is probably close to average.
The series as a whole is much more valuable than the final few minutes. It would be a crime to just forget about the other two games and most of the third
***** "fixed"... they added some extended scenes. But the main idea of the ending is untouched. This whole space-child nonsense was just absurd. And absolutely nothing you did in the 3 games had any effect on it. Propably the worst ending in relation to the quality of the game ever.
@@ragabashmoon1551 yep sure did. Also don't you think that Master Chief, Gordon Freeman, commander Shepard and the Doom Slayer would make one hell of a fighting force? Add in Ibram Gaunt (biggest badass of the imperial guard) if you want someone from W40K in it and they'll handle anything you can throw at them
We made a plasma rifle from Mass Effect out of a Nerf gun on our channel -- used a short soundbite from this song when shooting it -- hope you don't mind!
This is so Legendary. I found it on a Video Games magazine's DVD and really love it. It was so long ago, like nowadays people don't even have DVD drives.
Absolutely amazing music. I come here daily and listen to this before start my day...even though I'll never be better than Commander Sheppard. Congratulations, Gavin, for the excellent work.
This was the actual first song of yours that I listened to, and I LOVED it. It's one of my classic that I always fall back to. Gav, you may not fight like a krogan or run like a leopard, but are you sure YOU'RE not better than commander shepard?
With the next Mass Effect seemingly being a direct sequel to 3, I would love nothing more than for this song to be in game as a Galactic Top Song. Like regardless of whether we will be playing Shepherd again, or if they did die, there is no doubt that they should be known all across the galaxy as a great hero so it would make perfect sense for an in universe band to make a song like this.
