it's tough to say if it would have really mattered, everyone elses creatures pretty much had the same power and toughness so it is probably a non bo

The controller of the commander that deals the last of the 21 commander damage should get the point. So I think Justin should get the point. Though I also like the idea of Jonathan getting -1 from shame

Justin should definitely get the point. The rules say "+1 point for killing with Commander Damage". Justin did kill John with Commander damage.I do love the suggestion of John losing a point though

How about an episode in which legendary creatures with multiple different cards are partners (like Ashling the Pilgrim and Ashling the Extinguisher or Gerrard Capashen and Gerrard, Weatherlight Hero)? But as they are basically the same character at different time periods you can only have one of them on the battlefield at the same time.

I have failed as a viewer and haven’t binged recently so I can’t give episode numbers, but the point is for “Killing someone with commander damage” and Justin killed John with commander damage. It doesn’t matter whose commander it was or how much dealt to get the kill

One day Justin will learn not to blindly trust Stephen. I can't name an occasion where it has worked out for him in nineteen seasons of play. Absolutely worthwhile to throw a Thrax attack his way when you're that close to him killing you.

They have a problem with attacking because stephen had perpetuated a cultural of petty revenge, even when if it gains him nothing. So now everyone's scared to attack and leave themselves open instead of removing opponents from the game and banding together to feel with the threat.

I like the idea of the Commander's Quarters and I watch the channel from time to time, but those decks didn't seem to work as well as the people on Reddit keep suggesting. I guess it's a good way to get into the game, though I still think if someone brought one of those to even a casual budgetless group, they'd get stomped. Probably best if everybody is playing the same budget restrictions, as in this episode.

No he didn't. Stephen should have had less commander damage as a most of the damage was dealt using cranial plating which only buffs power.

Nope, most damage with Alela was dealt using cranial plating to buff her power, so in reality she would have dealt even less.

I think as-written Justin gets the point, but it doesn't seem right for the spirit of the rule. I like the suggestion of John instead losing a point out of shame. And I think the rule should get some clarification.

I actually like it. Maybe when they're back in the studio, as it gets to Justin's or Stephen's turn, the screen can rotate so we can see the current player's board on the bottom, as if we're wandering around the table ourselves behind them when we need to see the other side easier. Much better to see current, most relevant board the right way up, IMO. I'll admit it's a little weird seeing both sets of players the right way up, but I'd prefer that to an upside-down current player's board.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if Jon hard casts Chronomantic Escape, he wouldn't be able to suspend it right? From my understanding of suspend, you either cast the spell as normal, or exile it with X time counters and the spell is cast for free once all time counters are removed, right?

Chronomatic Escape states it exiles itself with 3 time counters as it resolves.

It's part of a cycle of cards that Suspend 3 themselves on casting. Arc Blade (Shock), Chronomantic Escape (Can't be attacked), Cyclical Evolution (Giant Growth), Festering March (-1/-1 to all opponents creatures till EoT), and Reality Strobe (Bounce)
