Final episode theme: everyone builds a three colored deck. justin - Surrak, Dragonclaw; Stephen - Mayael the Anima; Wes - Shattergang Brothers; Jeremy - Tariel, Reckoner of Souls. At the beginning of the episode you roll dice, odds left evens right, and pass your deck to the person on that side. And/or roll two 6 sided die each, to determine how many cards in hand you each start with (minimum of four or something so everyone at least has a chance). Love the series guys. Congrats on 100k!

Season Finale theme: each player must base their deck around a certain spell type eg justin- enchantments stephen- creatures wes- spells jeremy- planeswalkers

For a theme each of you should play a deck with a creature keyword; trample, flying, deathtouch, fear, menace, lifelink, cycling, infect, kicker, cumulative upkeep, rally, whatever; doesn't matter, as long as it's a keyword on creatures, and you have 30 creature cards with that keyword ability. The general doesn't need to also have that ability, but should at least have synergy with creatures with that ability. Keyword Tribal! ;)

Lol, when Stephen saw the Volcanic Island in his deck(16:04) and kind of paused realizing he messed up then proceeded to slide it out of the game.

The feel when these guys made dual commanders before dual commanders could even become makeable.

Great game (as always) my ideals for a fun match is as follows: Justin playing Skullbriar, the Walking Grave; Steven playing Gaddock Teeg; Jeremy playing Karlov of the Ghost Council; and Wes playing Kami of the Crescent Moon - It would be super fun to see everyone cast their generals on turn two to deny each other first blood.

50:42 Justin Could've used venser to bounce the equipment giving Teysa Hexproof, so that Wes would have used his removal on Teysa.

Season Finale theme: Themed Objectives (This one requires the director to have fun) Justin - Sen Triplets (Riddle of the Sphinx themed deck. Requires Sphinx Ambassador, Mask of Riddles) Stephen - Ruric Thar (Not GRUUL?! Then Die! Themed deck. Requires Hull Breach, Bane of Progress, Red Elemental Blast and fog) Wes - Momir Vig, Simic Visionary (Cannot have any infinite combos, or Enter the Infinite & Omniscience) Jeremy - Sedris, the Traitor King (Stealing other's things and betraying them theme deck. Cannot make his deck revolving around Unearth, but rather only the flavor of betrayal) Each deck should pass up cards that are good for alternate bad cards that are flavorful to the theme. For this game, each player will also have a secret objective which the director will make up after looking through each deck. Only the players will know what their objective is, and it should be written down before the game starts (conspiracy style) If this secret objective is accomplished, the player gets 2 points towards the leaderboard at the end of the game, in addition to their other points. The objectives can be as difficult as Choi sees fit. E.g. Control 20 creatures, destroy a land from each opponent, Don't attack the entire game, control a permanent of every type in your deck, etc. etc.

Justin - Play a Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund deck focused on the theme of Skyrim. Stephen - Play Omnath, Locus of Rage themed around cards that feature anger, hatred, and rage, quad damage, tons of haste. Jeremy - Play Maelstrom Wanderer themed around chaos effects, random effects, and cycling. Wes - Play Rafiq of the Many themed around giant mythological creatures or events.

You guys are awesome! My suggestion for the last episode is a theros theme. Justin- Nylea, God of the Hunt Stephan- Erebos, God of the Dead Jeremy- Heliod, God of the Sun Wes- Thassa, God of the Sea I switched your typical colors around a little but to make it more interesting. I think the videos with the yearly pre-made commander decks are the most fun because everyone has a similarly powered deck. This would be a cool way to simulate that. -Nathan Johnson

Here's my votes for what you guys should play in the season finale: Justin: Damia, Sage of Stone (all multicolor) Stephen: Seton, Krosan Protector (all monocolor) Jeremy: Ruhan of the Fumori (all modern border - 8th edition onwards, including reprints but no foils) Wes: Arcanis the Omnipotent (all old border - pre-8th edition) Have fun :D

Double generals were great! I liked the idea a lot, and it delivered. I have a theme for the final video: Battle for Alara! 5 Shards, 4 decks (Esper sucks). Naya: Marath, Will of the Wild. Jund: Kresh, the Bloodbraided. Bant: Rafiq of the Many. Grixis: Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker.

To add to the discussion at the end: I think pairing a general and THEIR planeswalker equivalent would be sweet. Venser, Narset, Ob Nixilis, Karn, Nicol Bolas, Teferi, and Xenagos. (also, any of the Origins 5, though you've already played those). You could also do 2v2 with, say, Wes on PW Narset + Jeremy on Creature Narset, vs. Justin on PW Nicol Bolas + Stephen on Creature Nicol Bolas.

Stephen has been savage with his coverage related jabs. 10/10.

Everyone gets one of the four elements( Fire, Water , Earth and Wind). There can t be any cards in the decks, that use an other element( no Hurricane in the green earth deck). If you can summan captain planet somehow you get an extra point. Captain planet is an Multicolor creature everyone can summon from outside the game like a community commander.

Card Type Theme! Everyone draws a face down card and has to build deck around the card theme : the cards being Enchantment, Sorcery, Token, Instant, Artifacts, Land, Equipment?, Planeswalker.

Can we all just recognize the fact that in the beginning when Stephen fetches his verdant catacombs he shows the camera a volcanic island which aren't even in his colors? I had to point this out because I find it hilarious

Theme for season finale: One general from Theros block and one enchantment in the command zone. By the way, congrats #WesSide! Good win. Next week will see his goofy photo with a much bigger point total below it.

You should have a King/Queen them for the finale. I 100% recommend putting in the monarch mechanic, because I definitely want to see how the dynamic changes with the monarch token in play - plus, its appropriate given that it's for the finale, marking the season champion. You can also make it so that ending the game as the monarch gives you an extra point. As for the deck lists, you should have generals that are kings/Queens; some suggestions could be: Wes: Brago, King Eternal Jeremy: Queen Marchea Justin: Savra, Queen of the Golgari Stephen: Reaper King Also Just a shout out - been watching this show for about a year and a half now and it's my favorite segment on Star City (#teamwes). My group is finally going to play our first commander game on the first weekend of September, and I'll be playing an Esper artifact/control deck w/ Oloro, Ageless Ascetic. Watching these segments has been really entertaining and my reason for wanting to get into this format. Keep up the great work guys!

Double commanders is a really cool concept, looking forward to the future for more of the same. Hopefully do commanders that work well together (both niv-mizzets lol). Also go Tigers!

How about the follwing: You take a dice, the 5 colours and a "choice" side. "Choice" means you can chose which colour you have got. Everybody rolls the dice 3 times, so you get a random colour-combination from mono-coloured if you roll the same colour/"choice" to 3-coloured if you roll 3 different colours. This can be done with 1 or 2 commanders, with special themes or in general everything :D

Really enjoy the series guys, keep it up! Season Final Suggestion: Custom Commander, each of you designs its own commander and has it approved by Choi (for balance). The commanders are revealed to each other at the Final.

So this 2 generals game reminded me of a system I wanted to use-- you use both version of one character as your general. Like using both wort raidmother and boggart auntie and you use each of their colors, so it would be a Jund deck. And instead of using the same one card you have to alternate between to two

Powerpuff Girls theme! You could switch these round but I would love to see an angel battle royal! (plus if we could see Brisela on cam that would be awesome)!

Season Finale (or for fun in the future i guess): You guys should do EDH/Planeschase with you favorite or most fun to use planeswalkers as your generals (with the exception of overpowered planeswalkers such as Sorin Markov)

Delirium Themed week! Each player focuses on a different card type. Jeremy gets Karona, False God: Planeswalker control Wess gets Sydri, Galvanic Genius: Artifacts Justin gets Krond, the Dawn-Clad: Enchantments Stephen gets Ben-Ben, Akki Hermit: Lands. If your going to draw all mountains, you might as well deal damage equal to the number you control.

Commander Theme: Legendary Spells In command Zone: Commander & 1 Instant/Sorcery that has Flavor Ties (Story/Art/Flavor text) to your commander When your commander is in PLAY you may cast the spell from the command zone (same additional cost of +2 mana each time its cast) Example: Selvala, Explorer Returned & Selvala's Charge Also you may not choose to use One of the Origin 5 Planeswalker flip cards, because that is not as much fun.

Season finale deck ideas: Avacyn land destruction (Avacyn that gives all your lands indestructible as commander) 5 color (any commander) guildgate deck. Basically play all the guildgate's and try and get them out and win with Dragon's Maze or Maze's End. Seems really fun. Afterthought: You could do a week dedicated to lands, the above to decks with a gitrog monster and/or mina and denn/Omnath

Theme for next week: "Not paying full price" Maelstrom Wanderer Narset, Enlightened Master Mayael, The Anima Kaalia, The Vast All of them are based around getting big splashy things out, without paying full price. I have lists for all of these decks, they're all some mix of ramping very fast, casting big stuff at a discount, and beating people's faces in.

For the Finale you should have each person use one of the Theros gods, as well as their god's corresponding legendary artifact, as their commanders. Bonus points if the person playing Purphoros uses Bludgeon Brawl to equip the Hammer to him

if you haven't done this already, you should bring back Venser & Venser, Attorneys at Law and do an episode where everyone plays creature and planeswalker versions of the same. like Teferi, Maze of Zhalfir and one of the Teferi planeswalkers, Nicol Bolas and one his planeswalkers, Karn and Karn, etc

For the final episode of season four, there should be a team up. Each team has one commander, a 200 size card deck that each team member helps build and each member uses it.

I would like to see a video using only generals that have never been used on the show before. P.S. I suggest: Chainer, Demetia Master for Justin, Experiment Kraj for Wes, Medomai the Ageless for Jeremy, and Thromok, the Insatiable for Stephen. These generals all seem extremely fun and fairly balanced.

the season finally should be a theme like the plane theme from a couple weeks ago, but with a return to planeswalkers as generals and you can only play cards from planes that your planeswalker general has visited.

Fan suggestion: each player plays mono red, and their general is decided by the player to their left.

Parnell could've stopped that Wrath @1:24:00 if he had picked Venser and Spell Queller. Put Queller on the stack first, targeting Wrath, then Venser on the stack targeting Queller. Venser's ETB bounces Queller. Queller's LTB triggers. Queller's ETB exiles Wrath.

For The Season Final, i suggest some sort of "civil War" the Planeswalkers turn against each other and gather as many other PW´s they can. The Rule: same as this episode but each one choose 2 PlanesWalkers as Generals and build the deck "theme-based" fitting to the chosen Generals.

You should do a game where each commander has a rare equipment that can be cast over and over like the commander with the increasing casting cost. Maybe allow 0 equip cost to equip to your commander. For example, Vorel of the Hull Clade with Illusionist Bracers.

Why is there a Volcanic Island in Stephen's deck? At least he saw and took it out.

So Toshiro definitely doesn't give you until the end of the turn to recast the targeted spell. Because it doesn't include the phrase "until the end of turn," you must cast it immediately when his ability resolves.

I think the double commander thing is really cool but I think it would be better if it wasn't random, you guys should've picked specific commanders that had synergies with each other

I still wanna see some weird old school cards mess with the game. Actually, a theme around cards that have abilities that make it askew with the color pie. Obviously color shifted cards come to mind first, but cards like hymn of rebirth, gate to phyrexia, reverse the sands, lapse of certainty, and diaochin, artful beauty come to mind. Would be neat seeing a blue mage beat done with creatures, a red mage gaining life, or a green mage destroying creatures. Thought it would be interesting. Or alternatively, build deck which you have to use cards that are NOT in your generals color identity. Say you have a UB identity commander, then you have a Naya colored deck. If you have a Mardu commander, then a UG deck, and 5-color is the same with colorless, mono-colored with a 4-color deck, etc. It would be interesting to try and cast your general, or to see which commanders might flourish in a different color setting.

Even though we're technically a game behind, Jeremy still has a fair chance to take the throne between this release and the last game. Let everyone play their strongest decks/combos? Wes- I'd personally like to see Memnarch because it's my favorite commander, but you just played an artifact deck, maybe Azami Lady of Scrolls or Kruphix if you're feeling Simic. Justin- I know you love zombies, maybe use the Mikaeus or the new Gisa and Geralf or Meren? Stephen- You're my favorite person to see ramp, maybe Thromok or Mina&Denn or Wort, Raid Mother? Jeremy- I think you're a really smart player and I know you've talked about your Maelstrom Wanderer deck being your favorite, maybe that or Riku or Animar? I have a Riku deck and would also like to see another in action. Good game, was a lot of fun to watch. Good stack play with Spell Queller and WoG. This game lived up to my expectations, everyone's deck got to do their thing.
