As a Colts fan, I’m still bitter that we had one of the five greatest quarterbacks of all time (Peyton Manning) and the second coming of John Elway (Andrew Luck) back to back and have a whopping ONE Super Bowl to show for it. Luck would STILL be in the NFL if the Colts put an offensive line in front of him. My point is, it doesn’t matter who the quarterback is, the Colts are gonna do Colt things, whether it’s Manning or Wentz.

as an eagles fan I hate to see it. I legit felt bad when we sacked him a ton. 2017 the guy was legit unstoppable. Countless times he would be hidden in a pile up and somehow roll out of it. Carried us to the playoffs. And then gifted us a 1st round pick. At least he’s rich.

Wentz not only sucks, he's also amazing. You just don't know what you're getting on game day. He can absolutely win you games. He can also totally blow it. I had a heart attack every Sunday last season not knowing what was going to happen. In some sort of weird way, I had a blast watching him.

As an NDSU alumni and fan (was actually at school the same time as Wentz) it hurts to see him struggling. We don't get many players drafted, especially as high as Wentz and Lance did

I'd just like to point out, Carson Wentz and Brett Favre have very similar ANY/A, and though Wentz's 4.7% TD rate is just a bit below Favre's 5.0%, his interception rate is 1.9% compared to Favre's 3.3%. Wentz is what happens if Brett Favre takes care of the ball a lot better, and plays on weaker teams.

As a Colts fan, after 4 weeks of Matt Ryan I miss Wentz. A quarter of the season through and Ryan already has as many turn overs as Wentz did all of last season.

I think Carson could have had a great 2nd season with the Colts, getting an offseason and training camp under his belt with Reich, especially if the Colts had gone out and gotten a 2nd premium WR like so many other teams did. Now in Washington, he is playing behind a decimated o-line and has no shot; he'll be sat soon in favor of a rookie so Washington saves their draft choice in another lost season and the end of Ron Rivera. Meanwhile, the hype of the Colts has completely blown up. We all knew a static 37 year old QB with no LT and only one middling WR would be a disaster and now we see the results. JT's style of play leaving a lot of 3rd and longs is probably not helping the situation and now he's been overused and is beat up already in week 5. It seems the move by Irsay to maliciously blame everything on Wentz and torpedo him will end up blowing up two franchises.

The issue in WSH is 100000% their crummy OL. Look at Wentz production weeks 1/2, compared to weeks 3/4. First two games they blocked much better than their last two games. In weeks one and two wentz had 650 yards and 7 tds.

After having Heinecke as a backup in fantasy last year, I became a fan.. he's a fighter and deserves the chance, especially since he and Scary Terry had a decent rapport. Here's the thing: There is always a chance that switch flips for Wentz and he humbles himself to learn and improve to play another 10 years for 1 team. It's really a matter of which team wants to invest in Carson Wentz to give him the opportunity to prove himself over those 10 years. Because if he has to keep swapping teams every couple years, starting over learning a new playbook every year but never having the time to improve him mechanics and actual football IQ, he'll be a backup for the rest of his career, and pretty soon at that. The thing to remember is that Carson Wentz was a projected late 2nd-3rd round pick for almost the entire time during his senior year and right before the draft, out of nowhere, analysts skyrocketed his draft stock right up to 2nd overall pick alongside Goff. Had Wentz appropriately gone in the 2nd or 3rd we'd have a totally different outlook on him as QB and probably cut him more slack and appreciate the unbelievable plays more.
