I joined the event for the first time last sunday as part of the VSC and I have to admit that it was one of the most impressive (and overwhelming) experiences Ive ever had gaming. Please keep making these amazing vids to show people how cool this game can be :)
So, it wasn't mentioned in the video, but the group is constantly evolving with new Dukedoms and events. Just yesterday, the newest Dukedom, Montfort, had their first battle.
The way you edited the video definitely made everything more suspenseful. It was nice to have those unit introductions too! Adds character and immersiveness to the whole video. It's also cool how both sides were equally matched, makes everything unpredictable and fun!
This is so cool... In a hilly battle. It would be advantageous to hide your reserve units flag to make it harder for the enemy to realise where it is. And raise it just at the moment, when they are called to do fighting. Keep posting these videos. They are great.
OMG, epic moments all over the place here, thank you for sharing this. The mill wheel moves slowly, while you fight wildly, maybe from a future bretonnian aoidoi verse. (bretonnian jargon maybe for "Slow is Fast, fast is slow")
It is a lot of fun! You need a pc, the internet and to join a participating clan! Our clan discord is in the details. We are by far the biggest clan in the game with many different units and opportunities:)
idk if possible but at battles end it would be cool to see a kill number for each group i would have loved to see how much work the archers got when you pushed right and they got some good hits in on their left flank
Sire Benoni, or Marshal Benoni for this matter, is there a script for these events and say, what would happen if someone say playing as a peasant would break said script?
Not really a script, just discipline within the clans individual units. If one peasant goes against the grain, his officer will punish him. Mostly this is comically done. Rarely someone just decides to go solo. As it’s against the rules
love it. But also I just found your channel so you might have addressed this.... Where is the rest of the 25 years of service vids. That is primo bannerlord rp story telling & now my balls are blue
Nah a load of bollocks or click bait. I’ve been to every major event. When you get past 600 lag becomes a big deal. 1000 hasn’t been hit as far as I’m aware. We tried to get 1000 a couple times. It’s very hard. Still I believe 700/800 has been hit a few times. But it’s a laggy chaotic mess. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to you and themselves.
Maybe instead of the archers being grouped together. It would be best to add them per group? They don't seem much of a prob even en masse then why not have them spread and have a more aoe skirmish while most infantry can protect their own archer too or archer helping out inside. Not a bannerlord player though.
Hey! For sure that would be a good idea and effective :) However, we are a roleplay clan. So we implement rules for the battles. Infantry must form and stay together until charge. Cavalry can only use their spear when in a group. (Cav are super op, when solo). And also archers must stick together. The reason for all of this is to atleast atempt for the battles to seem realistic.
That’s a tricky answer. TW servers are 120. We get 550 twice a week on events. Ultimately the multiplayer doesn’t have thousands of played but it has hundreds all on the same servers
Hey great question. So mainly people who have been in the clan for a long time and are of a certain rank. Captain and above. We have ranking system like a feudal kingdom. So a king lords dukes barons knights captain sergeants and so on. Edit: there are 2 guys who do it most the time but myself and few other also do the role. I’ve been in the clan nearly 4 years of that helps :)
seems like a lot of fun! but ive been wondering why when fight breaks out people spread out everywhere? wouldnt it make more sense to try to stay in formation and defend each other? im yet to see that actually happening in blord multiplayer haha
These battles are really beautiful and look fascinating, but as someone used to an obedient force and complex tactics, it's hard to translate that to individuals, especially in real-time without a LOT of practice(drill) and military-like discipline. I remember fondly Dark Ages of Camelot and leading armies of 50-100, but even then, things often degrading into a free-for-all in the din and chaos of battle. Still, very fun to watch, fellas.
Ive been working abroad and i havent been able to play onbmy pc when i came back home my gpu got fried but I've been waiting eagerly for my new one to come and the first thing im gonna do is join !
I would love to see this army vs 1000 bots, just a suggestion yo see the true power of [BRE]. Love your videos. Keep it up, I will send multiple of these comments to make sure you see it, much love. Glory to BRE.
Aha seen it ;) We did some time ago play full invasion. Which is kind of the same thing aha. Went pretty well but after a while the killing gets repetitive:)
At the start of the video you claim this to be the ultimate medieval milsim. I dare say it can be even more realistic, bringing extra challenges to the commanding part of the game mode. How? By only allowing to communicate by voice in planning pre battle. As if it were a war council preparing for battle. You'd need to think of a way to signal certain troops to execute part of the plan (like a flanking force). In real life this would've happened with a horn, for example. I dont know if game mechanics allow something of the sort, but think about how awesome that would be. It's a suggestion, I'd really like to know your or anyone's thoughts on this. Of course, units can still communicate amongst themselves...
It is, the best medieval milsim. Otherwise I’d play the alternative ;) You got some great ideas, I always do say if it had in game voice chat and that was the only way to communicate. That would be awesome. It would also need a morale and stamina system. Then it would be perfect aha :)
@Benoniyoutube It is via discord now? If so, it would be simple enough I think... one channel for the planning, another for the unit you lead. No switching until after the battle
I was thinking what was missing from the battles. And then I realized: Pilums, Javelins, Throwing Axes and as such! These add a new layer of strategy to the game. E.g. Javeliners can circle around and throw javelins in the backs of the enemy infantry that is fighting in shield wall. Also, archers are completely useless as everyone has shields. So maybe put them on the flank with the cavalry to aid the cav and to hit the enemy flanks.
Exactly, frontal attacks form archers are poor. Flanks and rear are extremely effective! However it then puts them at danger from enemy infantry and cavalry
