I love listening to Ann Dowd speak. She always always connects to something in me. I love the way she delivers a powerful message and then retreats to her notes, as if she taken over by the message she needs to get across, losing herself in the communication, and in the big picture of the connections between individuals and has to sit in a quiet moment to find herself again, to move forward.
How I adore Ann Dowd--I could have listened to her speak for hours! But I was so disgusted and distracted by those two rude young girls sitting behind her: one of them chewing gum, and the other expressionless, only responding to the gum-chewing chick. Someone should have escorted them out. Disgraceful.
