Jared Erskine because that was me at my peak. I’ve always been at my peak but that was when I put the most effort in at basketball because I needed to prove I was the best and I needed to win rings and MVPS
That’s how it always has been and how it always will be. Come back to this comment in 20 years and look at how all of the people who booed Trump are treating him 😂
Nikola Nikolaaa they didn’t like him because he was known for cheating and rigging things. If you search up things about him rigging a draft you will see were it started. That other guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about
@Cody Adams That's kind of a stupid reason. I get what you mean but like them having CP3 wasn't a guaranteed championship lol. Anything can happen in the NBA. In my opinion, I don't think it would have worked with their personalities.
Cody Adams you’re a fucking clown. The Lakers got handed the Portland series and the Sacramento series because the league wanted LA in the Finals because they’re bigger markets. Steve Smith and Chris Webber have gone on record saying multiple times that some funny shit was happening. I don’t wanna hear shit about “Lakers got robbed” when they get the most help of any team in the league.
my mom cp3 trolled himself by being injured. His only chance with the Clippers to make it to the conference Finals and they choked against Houston and blew a 3-2 lead. Every other year he was injured.
I’ve been looking for video of this randomly today, and have no idea why. But Stern was like an ultimate WWE heal during this draft, and I loved every second of it.
David Stern really made the draft, I don’t really watch it anymore since Silver took over, I use to throw draft-watch parties, now I couldn’t care less.
We need to petition a name change for New Orleans. New Orleans brass, hell even The New Orleans spice sounds better than a pelican bird lmao like for real.
if he were like Ronald Reagan, he would've said "oh... shut up!" p.s - R.I.P. The greatest commissioner of all time who made NBA the most globalized league of the world. We still miss your voice in each year's draft pick , saying "With the 1st pick of the yyyy nba draft~".
Why is he getting these boos?? It’s his last year as a commissioner. Now that he is no more, people think about all the good things he did, how he made the game global. Without this man, we wouldn’t have had Giannis, Luka, Dirk, Manu, and many other foreign players.
@@warriorsfan362 I know but still, he did sacrifice a lot for the NBA, but still, despite that, there would be hate among the fans, because they were so many chances to teams that deserved certain picks, but they just didn't get it. Like the Knicks, haven't won it since 1985, I believe the first draft lottery.
Silver TigerHD you are right in fact I really do get what you are saying, but at least we give this guy the respect on his last year. He deserves that at least.
Regardless of your opinion, this man was the commissioner during a few eras that shaped what the NBA is today. Magic and Bird, Jordan, Kobe and Shaq, and Lebron.
One of my favorite ways to piss someone off if they're screaming at me is to say, "What's that? I can't hear you". Then do it one or two more times until he/she becomes insane.
TSwany You might not believe this but no matter if the sports commissioner did something good or bad, fans will always want to boo the commissioner out of some funny satire. All 4 major sports leagues have this type of call. Most notably the NFL draft.
FuckingHateTwilight David Stern*. Though me personally seeing someone booing the commissioner is always laughable and enjoyable. But I do get what you mean. I could imagine Seattle locals booing the owner for moving the Sonics to OKC.
@@willtheprodigy3819 watch korzemba's video on how the knicks got ewing, and basically crazy teams jumping to number one from a bad percentage of it, u know, how the bulls got d rose, the bulls got a 1.7 percent to get the numberone pick, there are more cases of that actually
@@willtheprodigy3819 Have you watched in the last 20-30 years? The NBA increased its value in terms or money and ratings over that time period, because it went from being an actual sport, to an entertainment-first product. It went from being a sport based on teamwork and fundamentals, to a product based on starpower and athleticism. If you watch the NBA, you should also watch the WWF and cheer like you think the outcome isnt already decided. The NFL has done this as well and the NHL is not far behind as long as Bettman is at the helm. Basketball will always be a sport where the best players usually win. But there are so many things that have happened over Stern's time as commish that prove it was all about the $$ rather than being all about the sport itself.
Noah Brown There’s a tendency in Professional sports where booing the commissioner is always okay. Whether they were under a scandal or just did something good.
The CP3 Trade was completely fair, the nba owned the team, and thus had the rights to control the trade. If their was a different owner, then the nba would never be able to “block” the trade. Owners do this all the time, but since it was the nba who owned the team at the time so many think it’s a huge deal
Deserved every boo and jeer he got. He may have cleaned up some rough edges of the league early in his tenure but he has quite a few very questionable controversies and decisions tied to his legacy I will not forget.
