I'm getting really confused with what temperature I should do things, I don't want to pour my wax too hot as I don't want to burn out the fragrance, however, it's causing me to have jump lines and air bubbles! I need a good ratio. I'm using Soy wax.

Hello! thank you so much for making this video. it was very helpful. I am currently working with Soy wax for Pillar candles made in both silicon squishy molds and hard plastic molds. the bubble candles i make in the silicone molds have bubbles and white frosting on the top next to the wick (so they are at the bottom of the mold when being poured as it is upside down). Do you have any suggestions or tips on how to stop the bubbling and how to stop the white frosting for pillar candles? thank you so much!!!

Hi Mari! Thank you for your question. Because you are using 2 types of molds for your pillar candles and you are experiencing the issue only with 1, that is confirming you know what you are doing and most likely you are doing everything correctly. The reason why you are getting different results is in my opinion the temperature exchange and the speed of cooling difference between these 2 molds. I was getting bubbles in the wax when I poured cold wax. I was getting visible bubbles or surface deformations when the mold was much colder than the wax itself. I would try: 1/ lift up the wax pouring temperature just a bit 2/ at the same time make sure the silicon mold is warmed up. This should slow down the wax cooling, leaving a smoother surface without bubbles. This is just a guess since I have not used a silicone mold for pillar candle making yet. But I might in the near future. Please, let me know the results, and happy crafting!

Thumbs up here! Thanks a lot for the hint. I'm going nuts of because these bubbles! I use paraffin wax with the silicone mold. Everybody told me that I need to pour wax on between 85-90 degrees. I was thinking about pouring with the lower temperature and I found this video. What degree are you recommend for silicone mold?
@craftevolved6017
@craftevolved6017 3 года назад
I watched many videos and read a few instructions. They have this in common - 85 degrees Celsius - add coloring, let it cool off to 55 degrees Celsius - add scent. Then pour. A bit lower and wax is getting thick. By I think around 60 degrees Celsius is the sweet spot. And I think that applies to any mold. Give it a try let me know!

Hi! I just started working with paraffin in silicone molds and I am having so many issues with bubbles too. I wanted to know if you ever resolved this? I have tried warming the mold to 60C and to 80C - did not work. I have poured at 80C with warm and cold molds, same issues. I have poured at 60C in warm and cold molds, still same issues. Help!

I made pillar candles out of paraffin wax. I use your pouring method only . When I remove candles from moulds...at first they look very smooth and glossy...but after few hours white spots are visible on all over the candles.....how to solve this.... please help me out

I am working with soy wax only, did not get chance to work with paraffin yet. After how long do you take the candle out of mold? If you keep the candle in mold longer, the white spots still show up even while the candle is in the mold? Based on that we can make some assumptions.

Hi! Thank you for your question. Heat up the wax to 160 - 185 Fahrenheit / 70 - 85 Celsius. This is the temperature when you add color DYE. Then let the wax cool to about 140 Fahrenheit / 60 Celsius. Once at the desired temperature, add your favorite fragrance oil. Then pour. Hope it help! 😀
@neridamartinaitiene814
@neridamartinaitiene814 Год назад
60 add fragrance oil...mix for min or 2...in that time wax is 55. If i have few molds its too cold. I can see wax is getting hard while pouring 😩 so it will get hard too quickly...i dont understand all this different opinions. Why cant be sane rules for everyone and we all would know how to do...😬 so do you think pouring in 70 will be too hot?? Some people pour at 75. Thanks in advance
