I spent my entire childhood and teenage years (and college years) trying to explain to my mum that I had a system, she just didn't understand it, and that her tidying my stuff for me was not wanted or remotely helpful 😂 I'm much better organised these days since my gf can't tolerate mess (and I'm a tad more inclined to accommodate her than my mother haha), but even she has had to compromise a bit on our differing definitions of "tidy" or "organised" 😂

The only reason I have O.C.D with organization, structure and symmetry is because I had to offset the disorganized mind with ADHD. Now I'm planning more but instead of having just one mental health challenge...I have OCD as well as anxiety and am a Highly sensitive person.

Wow, I don't often meet people who have used ocd to offset adhd, I do the exact same thing!

Me too. I have ADHD but I’m always on time, get straight A’s, and I always balance my bank account to the penny.

Atomoxetine 25mg (non-stim) is becoming a miracle for me. I’m now action based planning machine that keeps on top of chores with a huge reduction in resistance

Ive been fired from jobs or lost opportunities because of my lack of attention to detail to an email and my inability to remember when someones given me an instruction. One to many information makes me short circuit. Ive grown up being told how much of an idiot or failure i am for simply not being able to do simple tasks. Only now realising why. 😢

The thing that all these experts seem to miss most, and it doesn’t get talked about nearly enough is hyperactivity. Extreme hyperactivity where you cause yourself injury over the lifespan. Im talking significant and multiple injuries. Experts talk about everything except for what the disorder actually is, it seems.

The drawings are too slow and not relative, just makes it worse.

As someone with attention issues, this video is not helpful at all.
