No smart washer and dryer for me. Mine are less than 3 years old and do not get my laundry clean. Give me a standard top load Speed Queen washer any day. I live with horses, dogs, cats and a less than tidy husband. I need heavy duty, not smart.
Especially when it comes to a dryer. I don't understand what makes a new smart dryer worth $1000+ 😳 We bought a new washing machine, but went to a scratch-and-dent place for the dryer.
For asthetics yes new washer and dryer but for durability no. Older models last forever. They are not hard to repair. My husband has changed gaskets and more and it works great amd saves money.
I could not agree with this more. We are adding over 1000 sq ft to our home and could afford a new set. But my old ones work and can be fixed. New ones don’t last as long. From an environmental perspective throwing out a working appliance to buy a new more efficient one feels like it misses the whole point of trying to be environmentally friendly. When mine do eventually break I’ll be looking for durability and efficiency for long term environmental gains.
Just bought a new set for my new house and while those smart machines are convenient and beautiful, I went with a good old top load Speed Queen. The front loaders stink and temper the water! The SQ w electronic controls will tell me how long the load will take and I can set my phone alarm. Not as gorgeous but extremely effective.
Totally agree! My sister had a front loader and she would clean it AND leave the door open in between loads but she could detect a mildew smell! We are doing a whole home renovation and opted to purchase a top loader even though the front loaders look better
Completely agree. Had a very expensive front loader and those rubber rings are THE WORST. I donated it and got a good top loader, but I have to say I really miss the old agitators!!
You are right, once a coin got stuck in the front loader and we had to call a technician for that but when same thing happened in a top loader, we just had to take it out manually from the tub.. simple !
THIS! Front loaders smell awful! They smell like mildew no matter how much you clean them or leave the door open to air out after use. Top loaders look old and ugly but when the time comes to replace mine I’m going for an old fashioned top loader….if they still even make them.
@@junehodsdon8037 I'd rather they use marginally more water and work for twenty years than break after five. The environmental cost of producing a new washer and dryer and its components have more of a negative environmental impact.
Thank you for watching and the feedback L! I’ve had my smart washer/dryer for over 6 years now. They’re still going strong (🤞🏻) My mom still has the older models and hers break down all the time. I’m sure it has everything to do with which make/manufacturer. If you don’t mind sharing yours, I’m sure the viewers would love to know to help their decision 🙏🏻☺️
@@JulieKhuu Gladly, and I'm sure you're right on the manufacturer piece! They are by no means aesthetically pleasing, but we have the Amana Top-Load Washer and Dryer (less than $1,000 for the pair). Bought in 2013, super budget brand, no issues or complaints so far. We hang dry most of our clothing, so that really saves the dryer, electricity and our clothes! Thanks as always for your great videos - wishing all of our appliances, long issue free lives! :)
PLEASE do a series of amazing clever designs for small apartments on a budget. 🙏🏻 because I feel like I can not apply most of your amazing tips to my space because I don’t have the space and money 😬
I love doing laundry My daughter made me a sign that says mum’s hide out ! But With 9 people and 4 dogs The narrow space is terrible I hit my arms trying to fold from the dryer I’m going to swap out my open shelves for cabinets Thank you for this video
Lovely! Perfact timing!! ❤ I'd like to see more on organisation tips and tricks, for all rooms - laundry room, kitchen, study, guest room etc. Maybe even a series. Thanks.
I was thinking of breaking down a series specifically for storage and organization, but talked myself out of it because I thought no one would be interested! 😆 Thank you for the feedback Sibongile, I’ll work on it now, yay! 🙌🏻
Liked the video RIGHT AWAY lol because who doesn't neglect the laundry room. Completely last on my to-do list lol aaaaand you just came for me! lmao my washer and dryer is from 1984 🤦🏾♀️ but hey they came with the house and run like a champ! 🥲 my laundry room is in the guest bathroom too 😬 probably should invest.
I have been seeing lots of comments on old faithful Erika! You know what you need, and if it’s still in great working condition, by all means do what works best for you 🙌🏻☺️
Before I watch the video, let me say again you and I are apparently on the same page because I've moved from weird rooms to having to totally redo a laundry room. Love that your content is always right on time.
Respectfully, I disagree on the appliance upgrade. They aren’t built to last anymore. If it’s not in the budget hang on to what works. The new digital faces and computer boards require an outside person to fix.
I don’t have a laundry room, but rather a laundry “space”. Mine is actually in the kitchen of my tiny cottage. I am looking forward to your videos on smaller spaces. Thank you for these fabulous videos!
Mine is in an open hallway leading to the back door, I love it! I never use a drier, I use an outside clothesline or in winter an airer in a sunny spot in a room I don’t use all the time👍
I am about to have two walls knocked down to make an open plan kitchen diner with sofa. I miss my old utility room so have asked my cabinet fitter to build me a 'laundry cupboard' to incorporate my old sink. He suggested moving the kitchen onto the old dining room area and having a kitchen island. I cannot wait as I have made do with a galley style kitchen for 30 plus years! Thankyou for all of your advice and tips ❤
Number one disaster I noticed in many two story homes: Laundry room downstairs instead of the 2nd floor. Ridiculous. Newly built homes are fixing this, though. Most laundry rooms are now on the 2nd floor.
I was the recipient of an old set from a friend who was upgrading to a smart set. My laundry room is in my carport . I decorated and made it visually cute with baskets and faux greenery. I am thankful to no longer be going to public laundromats. I have an original antique wash board hanging on the wall, it's a real conversation starter. I could decorate an outhouse and make it cute if needed..Sometimes you have to play with the cards you are dealt. You always exceed my expectations..😀😀
I just purchased a smart washer and dryer and I love it! It gets the clothes clean and the smart options help me keep my sanity with my clothes not getting ruined. Don’t knock it if you haven’t even had one.
Thank you for watching and validating 🙌🏻 I’ve had both- old school models growing up in my parent’s home and as a grown up now in my own home with my smart appliances. Smart, efficient, quiet, STEAMS… I could go on and on. There’s just NO contest for me 🤗
My husband & I tried. But, we’re hopeless🤦🏻♀️ Actively searching for a designer now to fix our mistakes. Unfortunately had a bad experience on Houzz. Guy took a consulting fee & disappeared.
We had so many issues with my Mom’s old washer/dryer... constantly getting parts replaced. Once we upgraded her, I felt better that she no longer had to worry about it. Just my experience Dorian ☺️
The newer models fall apart after a few years. The new ones have control with electrical panels and if those panels go wrong, the price to repair is almost the cost of a new appliance. My dryer I got when I moved into my first house 20+ years ago, and it was already 15 years old, and still runs better than a new machine.
The old washers and dryers are too rough on my delicates since I don’t dry clean anything anymore Elizabeth. Definitely take into consideration your needs and go from there 👍🏻☺️
I want to store my laundry detergent etc. in bottles other than what I purchased them in. I put the detergent and softener in a glass bottle with a rubber seal. I also put my bleach in the same type of container, but it seems to be eating the rubber, and my bleach is turning black. What would be a good alternative, as I don't want to use the plastic container it was bought in.
I don't think you researched this very well. Here is a video that explains what we have experienced also: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8mcgIznLy_k.html This man did not even mention the black mold problem with front loaders. We couldn't figure out what was going on with the mold smell in the bathroom and our clothes were turning grey. We got a commercial top loader with an agitator and the black mold smell went away and our clothes were clean again.
amazing video, very comprehensive. I've found that the area above the washer and dryer does not work since it is too tall for me to utilize as a folding or hanging location. I wish it did because it would look nicer open over those massive appliances. I can only use it for deep storage of bulk items that rarely get changed out, like entire packages of paper towels or toilet paper, because of this. You can be sure that a stepladder is always in the closet. I'm a little hesitant to defy advice when such an experienced voice is warning me not to. Designing occasionally involves making mistakes. Is this a definite no?
I use this spot above my laundry area for bulky appliances I don’t use daily like my Instapot, party platters, and backstock cleaning supplies. Does the job, serves its purpose 👍
This channel is like going to design school - I learn something new with each and every video. Who would've thought about flooring in a laundry room? It makes so much sense! Julie, you're a treasure! Thank you for taking the time to share your wisdom.
Great point on the tile flooring! ♥ Yesterday my sink stopped draining for some reason while machine was running, and suddenly I got a home upgrade in the form of an indoor pool :))))) If the floors were wood, like it was in my previous home, that would have been a nightmare. Now all I need to do is to dry this and check the walls for mold :)
Excellent tips! Hoping to get SpeedQueen washer and dryer for new build. Our old Maytags are 27 years old and still working fine, will leave them in our condo.
You overlooked one key aspect when selecting a new washer & dryer. All the bells and whistles are great but not if you struggle to use them. If you are over 60, placing & removing clothes from a bottom stackable washer can be a back killer. Place it on a pedestal and you need to be 6 foot+ to reach the dryer. Placing them side by side makes the most sense, with pedestals beneath for storage.
Pedestals are definitely more ergonomic, but not if you upper cabinets or shelving that limit the vertical height. Unfortunately that’s what I deal with Deb 🙁
While digital appliances have great looks their dependability is pitiful. An acquaintance of mine has an appliance repair business, with the advent of the digital equipment their repair business has grown from one truck to 40. Wake up we are being played!
Hmmm 🤔 not quite sure that’s how I feel about technology though. Tech moves fast, we either move at the same speed or get left behind and stay in our old ways. Well if it ain’t broke 😎
So loving your bold interior design style. Your vlogs always inspire me to take a fresh look at those forgotten spaces that haven't gotten the attention they deserve.
I would love to see more in additions, like more rooms added to a smaller older homes. Create functions and open space for today’s look than back then with separate rooms which made the house very non cozy... I want more lights and airy type of vibe... also more patios ideas and how fencing would provide long term care... what is the best out there and what measurement to go with the house ... goodness I have a lot to ask. Love all of your ideas on all of your videos. Thank you for sharing!! ❤️💡🏡
Thank you. I like how you speak clearly and slowly enough that I don't need subtitles (I have to use subtitles a LOT for videos as I have some hearing impairment). One bit of constructive criticism is that the sudden pauses between speaking is a bit jarring. I know there is text on screen for some things, but the pauses between speaking seem a bit too long at times. I do like that the music you have is soft. So many videos have the music that is way too loud or have super annoying bass but the music you chose is pleasant and not too loud. I'm going with waterproof vinyl plank because it won't tear as easily as sheet vinyl. I will put a waterproof barrier underneath it and a floor drain to allow water to drain out if there are any leaks or overflows. I don't like cloth rugs for an area that gets wet so I will likely get a wide waterproof anti-fatigue kitchen mat so it's not so uncomfortable when loading/unloading laundry. The only open shelving I will have will be directly above a window where a cabinet can't fit. It will also have a closet rod to hang stuff on. On either side I will have two oak cabinets 12" deep. I got a free closet rod because my sister was throwing hers out. The unfinished oak cabinets are inexpensive and I can paint them whatever color I want. Wicker containers would absolutely not work in my house. My cats would dump the contents, claw the containers, and sleep in them. LOL. I fortunately have enough space for side by sides. Stacking would mean I couldn't use the pedestal drawers. It would make the heights very uncomfortable for me-- dryer would be too high and washer would be too low. I've got a bad back so pedestals make it much more comfortable for me. Also, there is nowhere we could put them without them obstructing a window. I may actually try the multiple tension rod thing, but we'll have to see how things work out for the space. I'll have to see how it looks though. I'm going to have a ceiling fan with a light to cool the room off and provide light. Definitely going with LED bulbs. I don't need my laundry room to look pretty-- I just want it to function. Right now mine doesn't function well. I will be re-using an Evergo brand ceiling fan from the 70s/80s. I also like very bright lights instead of "warm". The back door (which is next to the washing machine) will add that pop of color. I painted it Behr Deep River blue. The machines are Mediterranean blue so they also have color. I'm debating whether or not to color the cabinets white or the deep river blue. I'm sort of feeling like it might be too much blue if I paint them blue. Since I'm taking out a wall and the ceiling tiles will be a mess, I might put up beadboard on the ceiling. Or I might just paint the shiplap (if there's enough of it) white. I'm on a budget so the walls will likely just get a coat of semi-gloss or satin paint in white or a light blue. I disagree with wall paper unless it is waterproof. I know you are focusing on the design aspect a lot, but in terms of function, one mistake I didn't see mentioned is something I see a lot: Not putting shutoffs in an accessible place. It's important to be able to do maintenance so you need to have the shutoffs in an easy-to-reach spot in case of an emergency. It's also useful to be able to pull the dryer out in case something gets stuck in the duct or the duct is damaged. The floor transitions can be a nightmare when trying to move the machines forward-- the stacked machines also makes it very difficult to move them to get to the back for maintenance. Overall, you had some good ideas and suggestions. The images were pretty. I'm going to be content with an ugly laundry room so long as it works and I don't bang in to the wall or hurt myself trying to load/unload laundry.
Thank you for watching and providing great insight! I didn’t even touch on the shutoffs, but you make an excellent valid point. I’m off to see where mine is located now 😅
@@JulieKhuu Nowadays the shutoffs are often in a plastic box that has holes for shutoffs and the drain. They are starting to have separate boxes now though as pedestals raise machines up higher and there are limitations on the height of a washing machine drain. In terms of aesthetics, if you don't want to see your shutoffs, you can see what Ana White did in her laundry room and make a hinged door that hides the shelf behind the machines. I will have a shelf behind mine to keep stuff from falling behind it. Back to the washing machine drain/standpipe: The two main plumbing codes are UPC and IPC. Under both codes the trap weir of the P-trap must be minimum 6" and maximum 18" above the finished floor. Also under both codes the minimum height of the pipe above the trap weir is 18". Under UPC the maximum height is 30" but under IPC the maximum height is 42". The standpipe for modern machines must now be 2" diameter and must increase to at least 3" when merging with other drain lines. The vent may be 1-1/2" and you should have a cleanout opening on the vent pipe. So, something to keep in mind is that you will need to have access to the vent pipe to run an auger (plumber's "snake") down to clean it out if there is a clog. (I can provide specific code references if anyone is interested). I found when planning my laundry renovation in Sketchup that I had to change the height of my trap weir to not conflict with my dryer's vent because I have a 15" high pedestal and my pipes have to run behind the dryer. An important upgrade for older laundry rooms is to remove the 3 prong dryer outlet and plug. They should be replaced with the 4 prong ones for safety reasons-- older ones can cause the machine to become electrified and kill electrocute people or pets. As an aside, it is a good idea to have a GFCI outlet for the washing machine as it will be in an area that can potentially get splashed with water if a hose leaks. They sell "burst proof" braided steel lines but there are still chances of something leaking or spraying. GFCI will cut power before someone can get electrocuted. I like to have outlets in easy to reach spots in case quick unplugging is needed in an emergency. For the dryer vent, the soft flexible venting is easily destroyed/damaged so more rigid stuff is recommended. I personally went with a Magvent 180. It connects to the machine like a regular dryer duct but it has a magnetic receptacle for the wall and a magnetic end to the duct so it snaps in place magnetically so you don't have to fight to put it on or remove it. That way if you need to do maintenance on the dryer, you can easily pop the duct off and pull the machine forward. Another thing I forgot to mention was having a lint bin/trash can for when it's time to clean out lint from the dryer. There's currently no room for one in my existing laundry room so I have to carry it to the kitchen trash or stuff it in to a plastic bag (that the cats invariably find and play with). LOL. When we remodel, I'm putting a bin next to the dryer to put lint in. Now I'm going to re-watch this video so I can see the pretty pictures again. Thanks for "listening" to me babble.
I usually adore your advice and design ideas but this laundry one has me a little baffled. Chandeliers and dramatic lighting fixtures for the laundry room? I'm looking at these ideas and seriously wondering who has the availability to create a whole space that's decorated around laundry. Yes, I get making it look clean, organize and functional. However, realistically, most homes have their washer and dryer in their basement. I live in the city, not suburbs, where homes go back to the 1880's. My home is from the 1940's. Right next to my washer and dryer, are the following: water heater, sub pump, and a huge furnace. On top of that I have pipes and heating/air vents all over that run up to the 1st and 2nd floors. How am I supposed to design around that let alone hang a chandelier. The ceilings in a lot of basements are often low as well. I think mine is about 7-8 feet. Can you please provide an updated video on laundry rooms that is a little more realistic for older homes? Edit: forgot to add that I also have a laundry shoot that I love. Suggestions for that as I don't have the availability to hide baskets in cabinets.
Thank you for watching Sara! I realize my videos and suggestions may not be suitable for all homes of course! Just do what you can to inject some functionality like cabinets, garment rods, and maybe a bit of color just for that side of the basement 👍🏻☺️
Julie, I wish I can keep my recent bought washer and dryer. 😞 Unfortunately, it broke down on me twice within a month. Good thing I held onto my old, very old washer and dryer (still work after 12 yrs). If you have any suggestions/ or luck with which brand of washer and dryer, please lmk!
I have a GE (no issues, in my 6th yr 🤞🏻), I hear LG is awesome and quite affordable. What make/model was your set and what was the recurring issue? Would love to know and maybe help another viewer who is reading this?
I have been married 38 years , raised two girls , when I got married my best friend gave me and my wife their used me more washer and dryer, , they were hand me downs from his wife’s family of 10 kids. We just replaced them in the last year.
I started working on laundry/utility closets and this video got way too long 😆 I’m breaking it up instead Lanay, laundry closets + utility coming up! 👍🏻☺️
My quality washer and dryer is Speed Queen....will last at least 25 yrs, longer if you're single like me....I'll be set till I'm at least 80 yrs young 🙃
Right out of the gate… no. Smart washers suck. They don’t clean nearly as well as a Speed Queen machine with no extra bells and whistles. Just excellent basic functionality.
My favorite room the in house 😍 Do you have any ideas or recommendations on maximizing space of a house with stairs in the middle of the house? I have a long living room area adjacent to the stair in a hallway style there’s an outside door leading to it and I just feel like it’s wasted space in the middle of the house.
Honestly, those new washing machines don't clean your clothes the way the "old and outdated" washers did. I want my old washer back! And can we please get real - what about those of us who can't afford a house with a laundry room that is larger than my primary bedroom? What about those of us who have an old house built in the 1950s or older that have their basement "area" in the basement - not enclosed, ugly cracked concrete flooring, unfinished walls, unfinished ceilings with structural steel beams, plumbing piping, and electrical wiring, plus telephone wiring and cable television, etc. wiring (from the not so "old" days). Some of the laundry "rooms" you showed are bigger than my kitchen, and have more cabinets than my kitchen! How about pitching to women with homes that most of us actually have, not the top 10%. Thanks.
How about I offer you the full experience of what my high end clients get from working with me without paying for the consultation or design fees J? That is the intent of this channel, Dream inspiration that we can apply no matter what our style or budget ☺️
I think it’s odd how the W/D always sticks out a little at the front of the cabinetry. They ought to tuck under there, in my opinion. Also, beware of appliance cost. If a stacked set is chosen, when either the washer or dryer goes out, they both must be replaced if they are one unit.
Thank you for watching Corri! The appliances have to stick out because most countertop depth cabinets are 24”D (industry standard). Any deeper and they would be a “mistake” since it’s harder to reach all that way for items stored inside. Thank you for the tip! 🙏🏻☺️
I disagree with the upgrade. If you have an old one keep it, the new ones dont last long and are very expensive. I've replaced my washer twice in 18 years. My parents is still working at 30 years. It's very wasteful to get rid of it if it still works and not good for our environment. Just saying. oh and they dont wash your clothes if they are actually soiled. When I'm working in the garden, my clothes dont come clean from the dirt, I have to wash them several times and they still dont come clean.
I’m someone who will invest in technology that SERVES me. I won’t just buy the latest and greatest because it’s new. The bells and whistles need to speak to my daily needs. Everyone’s needs are different so I totally get it 🤗
The biggest mistake is from the laundry machine companies that can't seem to figure out how to make ergonomic machines. Put one big ass drawer or several shallow drawers on the bottom, the dials on the side, and the wash/dry area at slightly above waist height. For Pete's sake, it's not that difficult to figure out. It's like these people have never done laundry before.
Julie--Stunning examples and great ideas! I'm redoing my laundry room and have a new top loader. (My front loader was a nightmare--I was spending tons of my time cleaning my washing machine!). I noticed that most of the pictures featured front loaders, which do allow for counter space on top. I would love to see more ideas of maximizing space/creating shelves or cabinetry for rooms that have top loading machines. Thank you!
Me, too. Hated the front loader and switched back. I didn’t like the washer spitting on my clothes, swaying them like a baby and then having me maintain the thing. I’ve heard from ppl who feel the same and others who love them. Thankfully there are both sold!
I need to dye fabric so need a top loading washer with the ability to fill the water to an adequate level. That feature is only available on older models long before all these water saving features. I'm praying that my machine doesn't die anytime soon. A friend has been through 3 new machines in the last 10 years or so and hates them all. Says they don’t clean well because they are so stingy with the water that she must wash some loads several times. Not much energy savings if you ask me.
Love this angle Jay and you’re absolutely right. When I used to DIY dye my fabrics, I did it in my parents’ top loading washer! I forgot all about that! Clearly, this is conditional, but that’s a good point too. I just replaced my smart washer- the drum collapsed and it cost more to service than buy a new one. I’m on year 10. I have no qualms about the new upgrade. It served me well. When it’s time, it’s time.
I like the idea of a stackable, but I've had to service my high end washer every few months. I probably need a new one, but not willing to fork out the cash right now. It cost more to service if it is stackable.
Thank you for allowing the eye to take in each new image before zapping onto the next. Also appreciate pauses in narrative to allow information to sink in. And I learned so much! Very well done. Thanks again ~
Before this video, I didn't even thought a laundry room is a thing! In my area, people put their washers either in the bathroom or in the kitchen. Honestly, I dislike both options. My next living space will definitely have a proper laundry room or at least a dedicated laundry space!!! And I would have to watch this video again, which I'm looking forward already 😀
It’s awesome hearing what other countries and states do with their laundry areas Kamila! I realize my videos may be US-centric at times (apologies in advance), but that’s all I know 😆 thank you for watching 🙏🏻

Side by side front loading to gain at least 6ft of countertop space above it. Double height cabinets above to accommodate laundry needs, extra linens, cleaning supplies. Paint or paper in your favorite shades and add curtains on the outside above the closet opening for full access and to hide the ugly 😉 No doors = no obstacles 👏🏻
They might last longer, but I want all the newer functions the old ones just don’t have, even if that means upgrading every decade. Technology moves fast I get it. But 10 years cost per wash is pennies on the dollar 😅👍
I have some clients who don’t use theirs at all and some who only use it for cleaning smaller items like shoes and hand washed undergarments. So understanding your needs is essential 👍🏻
@@JulieKhuu I'm sure the vast majority wash their sheets only once a month.... Gross. Expecting a washing machine can clean such filth is a set it and forget it fantasy.
There’s an entire section on stacked W/D if you want to free up more space Endel. Also upper cabinets above a side by side configuration has worked in my tiny laundry area.
@@JulieKhuu they have these HUGE W/D so I can not stack them and the room is only 6ft x 6ft. Perhaps next year I can buy new W/D so I can put nice cabinet and shelving. Thank you....I found your videos just in time for me to make that house mine. At least for now...! Until I can build another custom build house. Keep the organizational video coming.
Having the same cabinets, colors, and countertops surrounding the washer/dryer will help it blend in seamlessly with the kitchen. I would relegate the appliances to one far and of the kitchen away from the stove/ cooktop/ fridge as best you can to keep the dust away. Closest to the sink so both zones can access this necessity 👍
This is super inspiring, updating our laundry space is a new project we’ve began and this really helped. Our laundry is also our creepy dark basement. I decided I wanted it to be more than the place we avoid unless we need to wash clothings or store a box!
Thank you. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. It's both helpful and inspiring. I have lived with the mentioned drawbacks of a front loader for 18 years, so I strongly considered a top loader. Speed Queen looked like a great choice. Unfortunately, I couldn't reach all the way down to the bottom of the inside of the top loading washing machines. (At 5'6", I didn't considered myself to be short.) Disappointed...so it looks like we'll buy another front loader. Since they are deeper, I had trouble reaching to the back of the traditional front loader. I'm 74, so knee power is not what it once was. Either a 5" riser or a 15" riser should solve that, but it looks like we'll need to sacrifice having a counter in order to make either of those work. (We love our shelves and cupboards above that space.) sigh. Change can be stressful, even when it's good change. I will re-style the room, so in the end, it's all good. Function first. Body function, that is. 😊
Function first ALWAYS! 🙌🏻 Also my gripe with the top loaders- it’s challenging washing bulky bedding with that huge agitator in the middle. I just wanna stuff it all in sometimes and front loader is made for this purpose.
@@JulieKhuu Hi Julie- hope you are very well- really? a laundry room parallel to the front door foyer area? I had heard that any water/toilets near the main door cause money to 'run out' of the house=- is that false? many thanks Julie x
Hello! My husband and I love your videos. We've been watching all your videos and we are learning a lot! We just recently bought a new house and your videos has been helpful to how we will decorate our new house. My husband is wondering if you can make a video on how to decorate an office. Thank you!
Side by side it is NOT a design mistake! You have no idea what it is not to have anybody to bring the dryer down when the washer is not working properly! That happened to me 3 times the first year I got the "brilliant idea" of buying stackables. If you have the space, go for a side by side. Unless you have two big boys at home 😅💪💪
How do you suggest hiding electrical panels, water tanks, and other industrial piping and wires if the space is shared with the laundry and can’t be dry walled? (For access) Do you suggest relocating the laundry room entirely?
I have a question Julie, please help💚🙏 I just wanted to ask a Feng Shui question. So basically my new home entrance door opens directly to a brick wall ( neighbors home- the side, A tall wall) There is hardly 1 meter gap in between. I just wanted to know, what can I do to get get rid of negative energy and allow good fortune and positive energy in instead 💚 Many Thanks in advance🙏🌈
