Well dang that's a good point that explains some spots I've scouted to no avail, a variety of nuts all over the ground old new never even considered those spots look like that because the animals simply don't feed there

Found a spot last season that had mixed oaks with honey locust and a few persimmons at the point. I will be sending another success story in if everything goes to plan. Great episode gentlemen.

From watching all these episodes I’ve learned that all areas of the country where I live we have mostly hardwoods only about 5% are pine/cedar with annual controlled burns. So food is everywhere.

I’ve had mixed luck on big oaks in the past but they were sparse and more predictable. I’m hunting a property this year with tons of oaks, I mean nearly everywhere you walk. It’s hard to say where they’ll be

When I was in college hunting public in south Alabama it was easier to find feed trees. Back home in east Tennessee oaks are everywhere. Hard to find feed trees here unfortunately. Killed three bucks in Alabama over feed trees. All morning hunts

I want to see someone talk about hunting in south east ga where there are very few white oaks and loads of red oaks, and it's thick as hell every where. I know there is not huge deer down here, but we have some big ones. I'm just interested to see a pro hunter come hunt for a couple weeks down here and see what they have to say.

Question? Where I hunt in north Alabama forest land feed trees are real but extremely hard to find. I have found only 1 in years of trying. The only difference in this tree is it’s a white oak that has grown out of a stump and split into 3 different trunks. Has anyone seen this before or can answer what makes these trees different? The tree I found is ridiculous good unlike anything I’ve ever seen so I know there out there and I’m gonna keep searching for another for sure.

@mikepoulson384 when they log, especially like public land I hunt that has those pines they log,a stream or creek running through that pine farm they leave the hardwood and don't touch anything running along that creek.

@@thesouthernoutdoorsmen well when the guest are talking in the podcasts that I have watched seems to me when they start talking about very specific things it gets cut out mid sentence or when it gets to detail information. But no hard feelings i love you guys and could be totally wrong.

@@richardlinton3872 that’s super weird because the only thing we cut from the show is cuss words or specific names of public land. If you happen to find an episode where it happened please let us know. And if you could include the time mark of where it happened that would be great! Thanks man!
