No bugs or rot, but my pomegranate avrils are very pale, with very little sweetness. I would chalk it up to inexperience, but my neighbor down the street with 12" of mulch a decade ago, and scads of earthworms, has the exact same problem. Beautiful big red fruits, cut them open and pale pink (or white) avrils. Not much sweetness. We're both in Mesa, Arizona. Is it the heat??

Hey, thanks for the video. You are the first person I've found that is having the same problem as I have. I've had the tree for 5 years now and have not had a normal edible fruit. Have you found any solutions yet?

I’m on my second year with my parfianka and same issue. I did see the leaf footed bugs on it this summer but I have a hard time believing the bugs are what’s causing the color issue , it’s to consistent thoughout the interior to be caused by a localized intrusion imo…The rotted black inside yes, that’s always been in a specific area. I’m going to try this guys suggestion and see if they color up inside after a cool down . Im in zone 9
