Common Sandpiper 

A Common Sandpiper searching for food along the edge of a lake.
The Common Sandpiper is a small wading bird around 20 cm long. As it searches for food it often bobs up and down, an action known as 'teetering'. It feeds at the waters edge on on insects, crustaceans and other invertebrates.
