I have optic nerve damage and an aneurysm just diagnosed in the carotid opthalmic area. Could this have been caused by the aneurysm? I am currently being treated for glaucoma
Thankyou for education me about questions and concerns about my 4mm. Aneurysm. I'm very concern because I'm working part time janitoral. And I did have 2 MRI.but no further information . About what I should do. I'm 71 yrs.old.
I had been suffering with Lyme, Bartnella and Mycoplasma for about 4years when my rupture happened. I truly feel those caused mine. Because of the high blood pressure and sticky blood caused by them. I've had one coiled and now have two more that are to wide to coil.
Very valuable information. My wife was diagnosed with a 5mm MCA berry aneurysm. Waiting for Dr appointment for treatment options. This video calmed many fears for us. Thank you.
flclub54 Thank you for reaching out. Headaches are what led to the discovery of her aneurysm. The cause of those was found to be occipital neuralgia. She was last scanned in January of this year where the aneurysm at the bifurcation of the right middle cerebral artery is unchanged. She has been cleared for another 3 years.
Any comment on the Danish study that showed that over a lifetime 1/3 of all aneurysms rupture regardless of size ? (Size matters, but apparently not as much when spread over a lifetime) Also, people in Scandinavian countries have higher aneurysm rates of but does this extend to the relatives living in other countries?
Ok so of the 6 million Americans with brain aneurysms, only 20-25k have a rupture in a given year. That tells me that 20-25k MORE people should be getting treatment for this every year.
Exceptional!! Thank you Gentlemen. I had a recent SAH (and titanium coiling of that) in June; survived well but I do have yet another un-ruptured aneurysm there still in situ. Very informative session
I have 4 brain aneurysms two were treated by craniotomy/clipping (they were 7 and 8 mm. The other two are small 2 and 3 mm), my neurosurgeon monitors them, anything under 5 mm he normally doesn't treat.
