A friend has asked that I help out and lend him a set of radios for a trekking trip round Spain.
He wanted something he could charge up using solar and battery packs.
I came up with the Beofeng UV S9T. This is a great low cost Tri-band hand portable which has a charging port on the battery, to enable a USB charger lead.
I have provided an ammo case with two radios, two drop-in chargers, two USB charger leads, two mini magmount antennas and a solar panel. My friend is providing his own USB battery bank.
I think this kit will serve him well :)

You could add a small Solar Powered battery bank! They will allow charg8ng your cell phone or USB to Ham Radio.

I think that would be a great idea. Will consider that for the next kit
