The communion was amazing!!! We needed this as a church and so thankful it will occur again. It brought such an intimate moment of being the body of Christ as a whole, as if we were at the Lords table with Jesus at the head. Amazing spiritual experience!

Interesting discussion! I do know Catholics point to passages like John 6, as well as others, but they also place significant importance on what the earliest Christians believed. For example, they believe communion (or the Eucharist, which means ‘Thanksgiving’) is an actual sacrifice-an unbloody one, but a sacrifice nonetheless. One place they point to is 1 Corinthians 10, where Paul contrasts pagan sacrifices, Jewish sacrifices in the temple, and the Christian sacrifice which is the Eucharist. They also refer to the Didache an early Christian catechetical work that could have been written before the New Testament was complete, which links the Eucharist to Malachi 1:11. It seems the early Christians universally linked Malachi 1:11 to the Eucharist (Didache, Justin Martyr, Irenaeus of Lyon, and many others). You also have Ignatius of Antioch, a disciple of the Apostle John, who, in 107 AD on his way to martyrdom, wrote about how the bread is the body of our Savior, and the wine is His blood. He emphasized this because the heretical Docetists were denying the Incarnation. Ignatius instructed the Christians in the Church of Smyrna not to commune with the Docetists because they did not profess the Eucharist to be the actual body of Christ. They couldn’t participate in communion if they didn’t believe Jesus had a real body. Ignatius took for granted the belief that the Eucharist was truly Christ and used it as an apologetic against a group denying the Incarnation. Justin Martyr, in his First Apology, explicitly states the belief in Jesus’ real presence in communion. Irenaeus of Lyon, a disciple of Polycarp, who was himself a disciple of the Apostle John, also explicitly affirmed this belief. So the teaching goes way back to the earliest Christians. There are many more throughout the early Church, but these are a few figures whose writings we have a significant amount from. Those are just a few quick points showing where the Catholic Church, as well as the Orthodox (both Eastern and Oriental), the Assyrian Church of the East, and the Coptic Church get their understanding of communion. God bless y’all!

Pastor Daryl If there is an artist that is publishing worship songs that are not biblical shouldn't we know about it? I understand the political implications but... truth is truth? If not publically maybe privately? Regardless I would like to know...

Personally, I worship constantly. Especially in public. The world needs to see our LOVE for Him.. just like praying and giving thanks before we eat , in public too. It's so important for Everyone to see our love for Him. I waitress. You don't realize HOW many people watch you.......
