My Community paid me to go, paid for all my classes, textbooks, parking, everything. I have since transferred to a 4 year in engineering with 3 associates. After everything my engineering degree will cost less than 20k.
That’s why i see loan forgiveness as a bad thing. It rewards people who made poor choices. People who went to community colleges have it tougher on the job market but don’t have debt. They made a trade off.
In our area most people go to the local community college, so wearing that shirt has no stigma. If you graduate from a local school, you get free tuition for two years. That’s a smart move!
