This interview is so admirable. Crystal welcoming her future step-mom on the platform created by her own fairly recently deceased mother is beyond commendable. The loss is still fresh and the natural emotions are evident in her voice but God has given her strength. What a magnanimous heart.

I’m a widow of two years and I was married to my husband for 30 years and 30’days he went to glory 30 days after receiving a heart transplant on our 30 year wedding anniversary. I want to be helpful to other widow’s who need that extra TLC because I know what is like to,sit in my home all by myself from having to adjust to my new normal. Thanks you for sharing your journey with us ❤❤❤

Grief share is a great ministry. I went through it twice after my mother transitioned to heaven. I have been praying for the Evans family, and I have begun praying for Sister Carla, her adult children and her father. I have a heart for widows and the ladies at my church whose husbands are gone, I reach out once every two months via text to let them know they are loved by daddy God and me. Sometimes daddy has me send a scripture, a poem, whatever He tells me. It is a blessing showing love and care for these precious women who are experiencing a new normal in their lives! This interview has given me additional things to do. I don’t cook but can treat one sister at a time to a meal. So thankful for this interview! I just want to thank you both for addressing us widows. God's heart is so strong for widows, but few churches have ministries in place for widows. After my husband's transition over a year and a half ago, God led me to facilitate a GriefShare Widows Ministry at the church I attend. My husband was a minister. His long-term illness changed how he did ministry. He shared the Gospel consistently throughout his time in the nursing home.💝 Thank you for allthe ideas. I pray more churches will step up and care for their widows, orphans, and strangers. 🙏🏽✝️💞 May God continue to bless you more snd more. 💕🫂😘

My dad was a pastor and passed away in 2000. My mom was widow up until her passing in 2021. I hope that this BEAUTIFUL ministry is implemented in as many churches as possible & hope the doors are open for the PKs as well 🙏🏽🙌🏽✝️

Congratulations to Dr. Tony Evans and Carla Crummie. I wish you many blessed years of happiness. I, too, am a widow of 5 years. Within the last year, I have been praying for a spouse and patiently waiting to see if it is God's will. I believe I heard this at grief share, and it stuck with me: Your marriage is over because of death, but the journey of your life isn't. PTL for his faithfulness.

This interview helped me as I am a widow of four years. The take away that I got was losing the priest of my home. Also, my husband's covering. He was my husband for 43 years. I still miss him. The couples we were friends with, look at you differently. The part about cutting the lawn and other duties which he performed. My faith was tested and I was upset that God took him from me. I can now say I have turned the page. God has been with me the entire time. He has mended my broken heart. I am glad I saw this interview as I was a little confused when Dr, Crummie and Dr Evans got engaged. This interview helped me to get to know her better. I held Dr. Lois Evans in high esteem. Life goes on and people do too.

Carla is such a sweet person! This was very helpful! I've been in ministry for a while but learned more in 45 minutes about taking care of widows then all of the years in ministry, thank you.

Thank you for this. I have been a widow since 42 and I am now 65. God has kept me in my widowhood and singleness. It has not been easy and I am seeing this after the engagement announcement of Carla with your precious dad, Tony Evans. I wished that I had seen this earlier. This is such a precious lady. If she keeps this ministry I hope to hear from her again. It is so hard today to be a widow. I have raised 2 children and it has been quite lonely at times, but God always sends help!!! Keep living on the widows and orphans and singles!!! You are so intentional Chrystal and unique. I enjoy your podcasts. I am getting ideas that I may be able to help other widows. Thanks!! I came across this interview this morning 🇬🇧 time. It was on the eve of the sixth anniversary of my husband's passing. We were married for 33 years. His death rocked mine and my children's world, as he died on our daughter's birthday. I'm glad for sis Carla's finding love again. Saw the video of hers and Pastor Evans' engagements. announcements God bless them

Wow! Such an insightful and inspiring conversation. Thank you both for the realism and candidness you shared.

Also allow the pastors widow to continue to use her gifts in the church if she feels up to it rather than saying, “you are no longer a pastor’s wife now”. Sometimes serving can also be therapy for the pastors widow.

Such great tips on things I have never considered. Unfortunately we do overlook widowers in so many ways. This was very helpful to hear the recommendations on how we can be more mindful and inclusive.

Awesome insight, I have a group of elderly Ladies but I didn't think of having a widows group or events.

There are Grief Share emails that come each day for a year. Such a help for me. An uplifting thought and a scripture.

Congratulations . This is an amazingly awesome channel. I wish my spouse had such kindred spirit and I not have me on eggshells 24 of 30 days of the month for 3..5 years. I met her in ministry school . She is a widow also of 9 years ago. The mistake that I made was to not marry someone who was still in place. Christian or not. Unfortunately I gotta go because I don’t want to leave not knowing that I did not do what God told me to do. I ask that you keep me lifted in prayer. God bless.

My husband passed away suddenly in a pastor conference in Korea. He has gone from India to attend the conference. When he was playing in the sea in the free hours suddenly died because of cardiac arrest. I go through the path of tears. He was a pastor in a small village in South India. I want to help the Indian widows. I am praying for that. Suddenly I saw in u tube today. If I get any any source to help them . If God's will I want ur counseling. Thank u.

Very helpful messages and insights - I am sure. A little part of me can't help wondering though if this video was made before or after Chrystal knew that Carla was finding comfort in being a widow, through her very own father - Tony Evans. Anyway let me not get messy - even though this clearly was. I pray that all involved can heal and find peace and can find happiness and can be a good, Christian example of forgiveness, love, spiritual growth and peace
