Commuters converge at Orchard station for opening of Stage 3 of Thomson-East Coast Line, free rides

Will be using the TEL Stage 3 more often compared to DTL Stage 3, due to the fact that TEL3 interiors are beautiful and the line now serve Gardens by the Bay conveniently.

You can ride TEL stage 3 on 12 November 2022 in Singapore,you can still alight at gardens by the bay from Caldecott and don't worry you will not go to jail for those people in Singapore

Most who went would have seen the rust like smudges on the steel panels below the seats. Even the carriage smells recycled and not new. The station designs look like a modern sanatorium devoid of any touch of class nor quality. Similarly the steel structures are also similarly dirty looking. Did the budget pay for new MRT or secondhand reassembled trains? As for the route, it is plain ridiculous to have a small loop from Orchard to Stevens serving a catchment area where cars and chauffeurs are aplenty and when the bus and car routes are so much faster usually. The most frustrating was taking the shuttle from Stevens to Caldecott located in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by construction land, twice as long if a direct bus was taken from Orchard to Thomson. And without warning nor announcement on the train or stations, they just manually stop everyone from taking an onward train to their next destination station from the one stopped to have a glimpse, turn all the escalators to move upwards only and shut the line abruptly close to 9p.m even though the panel shows another oncoming train to the next station.
