Good info as always and lets see if the current government will invest in the area that will be the biggest question instead of lip services. If money has to come out of their pockets then this process will take longer then usual. I am very concerned about the roads, water quality and electricity. Those are more important in order to have better growth for now. Fingers crossed.
@@wysemanacc84 I am happy you made those very valid points. The pink zone will be all private. It is the government zoning that makes it unique. I did a video about the electrical problems.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R90qml7Mxzs.htmlfeature=shared
I firmly believe that the government has grown tired of all the negative publicity surrounding Sosua Beach and the Main Strip circulating online. The turning point was when the President himself, along with the Ministry of Tourism, visited Sosua. Funds for development have already been allocated, and numerous outside investors are eager to get involved-it's clear that change is coming. Additionally, let's not forget the cruise ship visitors they're keen to attract once the town has been revitalized. Unlike previous presidents and politicians who only made promises without action, this time, the funds are in place. While I don’t think it's the end of Sosua, it’s definitely going to undergo significant changes.
@@GregBrown-gj3xg This is a great post. I see things the way you do. I am seeing the government doing the same steps they did with the first chrackdown, I've. Clearing the streets of chairs and motos, meeting with owners and police and fiscila from Puerta Plata in town. The first chrackdown had RU-vidrs promoting pay for pal like now.
Can u tell wat chairs have been moved from the street n where it's d same tht was there last week last year 2 years ago. Wat chairs have been taken off the streets not one. U guys are imagining stuff. Tell me wat chairs. Please. Where. Stop making stuff up please. Talk facts.

I like the idea of a pink zone, it keeps things "PEACEFUL" downtown while still eliminating the problems on Pedro, I don't know about you but I got tired every time I turned the corner on Dr. Rosen they would preposition you at every step all way up to Baliees. one girl followed me all the way to new garden.
That whole area is like that your in a red light area why would anyone who does not like that behavior be in that area ?? If that type of behavior annoys you the batey is not where you should be you can’t have it both ways in the batey
@@shirleytwsw true but you need to also understand containment also works in our favor too, a place where we can go is good for us because it keeps prices low where on pedro it was the chicas who had all the control. now the government has leverage and they want their piece of the cake so the pink zone is now on the table. its good for tourism while maintaining the family friendly atmosphere! PLUS it keeps those minors OUT!
This is why I’m just going to move to Punta Cana. Puerto Plata doesn’t really like gringos making money. There is a ton of envy, shake downs. Old money that wants to keep things with the old guard and their families. How dare a gringo expect to make money in their town.
@@thewhitedevilfromthebible5899 I’ve been here for a decade, have Dominican family and speak Spanish fluently since I was a child. Every city is corrupt but Puerto Plata has an old guard that hates gringos. They like to control everything. Punta Cana is corrupt too but Puerto Plata has their own brand
