Sustainability and combating climate change are only now starting to be taken seriously. Because these are emerging fields, there aren't many opportunities in the job market, yet. That means if you're looking into this field, you're probably worried about who is going to hire you and where you can work.
In this video, I will go over basically who will hire us. The most popular ones are:
1) The government
This could mean working in a military base, working as a local/state inspector, or in one of those large government entities like the EPA.
2) Chemical manufacturers
Any chemical plant that makes a product will use and produce some sort of hazardous material/waste. We are definitely needed here.
3) Tech companies
Believe it or not, they need environmental engineers here too, not just software engineers. Imagine Tesla, who's sole purpose is to be the pioneer of sustainability.
There may be some other sectors I didn't mention or didn't think of on the top of my head while filming this, so feel free to comment and leave suggestions.
