Comparative genomics data in Ensembl, 1: Homology and gene trees 

Ensembl provides alignments of genes and regions between species, for the purpose of comparative genomics. In this video we explore gene trees and how to find orthologues and paralogues of genes of interest and look at the alignments of these. This video begins with a brief introduction to how the data is generated, followed by a demonstration of how to access the data in the browser.
