Comparativo: Ducati Diavel x Triumph Rocket III x Harley-Davidson V-Rod 

vi outro comparativo da duas rodas entre a Rocket nova e a h2r os tempos nós 201 da vontade de chorar 7.5 e tempo de 600cc na mão de quem sabe largar de vdd!!

na verdade são todas muscle bikes e drag racers, apesar dessa categoria ser abrangente (entre eixos longo, posição de pilotagem mais para custom - em geral com comando avançado - motores grandes e pneus enormes...). Todas são feitas para acelerar em linha reta. Mas em estilo a VRod e a Rocket puxam muito mais para custom e a Diavel é muito mais esportiva. Disparada, a mais feia das três (para mim), mas com certeza a com melhor desempenho em retas E curvas.

é mais um "teste" disfarçado, o negocio era só dar borrachao msm, afinal 2500cc com torque pra puxar um caminhão, a graça é arrancar com ela, ngm compra uma moto dessas pensando em velocidade

+edojh96 The rocket has a fairly soft engine actually, and from memory makes something like 140 hp at rear wheel, but a ton of torque. But its also weighs a staggering amount, so its really not that fast when compared with sports bikes, or even models like the V Max, B King etc.....A bike like the BMW 1000 sports for comparison makes almost 190 rwp and weighs 450 pounds wet. That's about 350 pounds less than a Rocket, so its not even close.

The Rocket motor is so de-tuned it's not funny. With just bolt on goodies and no internal work it is possible to get over 300hp out of one of these bikes. Still, they are not for the faint-hearted and I am not complaining about mine. I'll ride any bike and two wheels and a motor is just awesome I say.

My '99 Valk couldn't keep up with that power group, today's bikes have more horsepower than the Valk made 20 years ago. Horsepower is on order now but the Valk is so smooth yet powerful for its time but I still love this bike.

@@boreed5734 Mine's a 2014 Valk. I'd call it dignified horsepower and probably handles as well as the Duke. A damn fine filly, she is.

what i mean is they didn't let the back tire hook up. all they did was drop the clutch and let it spin until it finally hooked up. I understand what fucking traction is and people at drag races dont "spin at takeoff", they burnout before they race to heat up their tires

letting your tires spin at the start of a race is how you lose the race

Thomahawk plus the Ducati has launch control and I think the triumph and Harley don't.

Pacer357 If your figures are correct you're right, I've never checked really, but if if learned something in all these years is that sometimes the rider/driver is the most important part of the equation. Besides that, the Triumph rider obviously had lost some time comparing to the other one. Anyfuck, I don't mind, I ride two not so much of a rocket bikes because usually with such monsters you add something extra to the certainty of your divorce: sudden death.

GorillaProduction38 I agree that the rider was far from experienced, actually the Ducati rider botched it quite bad as well. And right you are, only very experienced riders can come close to optimal times in these monsters.

Yes the Rocket has more torque, 200 compared to 150 for the Diavel, still the Diavel weighs 210kg compared to 300 kg. That's 90 kg difference, or in motorbike terms a fuckload more.

+Ross Delaney The Diavel is in another league. I can agree it's nothing like a rocket, it weighs a lot less and has more power. Sure the Rocket has more torque but it weighs almost 100 kg more. I have driven them both and that Diavel made me rethink how a bike should ride, it's a master piece.

I cannot comment on the Diavel. I have 3 x Rockets so I think I know what a 2nd gear take off done well would have done to this so called comparison.

Rocket can't keep up, regardless of what gear you take off in. Unless it's a carpenter. In which case, not really a rocket anymore.

Dick Johnson Well, the Rocket has about 280lbs on the Diavel, so cornering is out of the question. The weight doesn't help much with acceleration, and being down 13hp (stock diavel vs stock roadster, a little more or less depending on the dyno you look at) isn't in the Rocket's favour. RPM much higher on the Diavel, too. Best figure I can find put the Rocket at a high 11 quarter and the Diavel at a low 10 with a much higher trap speed. If you're talking Carpenter, that's a different story.

This is a challenge made by Duas rodas (Two wheels magazine). The contenders are evaluated by time to reach faster a half quarter mile. The Ducatti bike wins flawless because it is lighter, powerfull and have better eletronic assistance. Leandro Melo is the pilot who did the test.

It's not a matter of raw horsepower; hp is good for reaching extra top speed, but accelleration is gained through close-ratiod gears, low weight, high torque and traction; even though the Ducati Diavel was the only one to squeal the tyres in 1st AND 2nd gear, it was also the only one to keep a straight(er) line. It is also much lighter than the other two. I don't think they cheated, Brazil does not manufacture motorcycles.

Fabio de Oliveira Vasconcelos Santos Na verdade é a questão de cilindrada e n de cilindros... Uma 1000cc tendo 4 cilindros admite 1 litro cubico de ar dentro do motor distribuído entre as 4 câmaras... basicamente 250ml cubicos de ar pra cada... já numa 2cilindros a divisão fica em 500ml por câmara, e já que aumenta a quantidade de ar, logicamente aumenta a quantidade de combustível tmb, para que ocorra uma combustão equilibrada!! E que no final das contas vira basicamente no mesmo consumo!! Mas tudo depende da tocada e da tecnologia empregada na motoca...!! Vc disse sobre opala 6cc e 4cc... se forem os dois da mesma cilindrada é provável que faça o mesmo consumo!!
