@@billballou7362 they have to allow timbre for the bone to heal beefier they can screw the implant titanium screws in. Titanium is what they use to bond to your bone because it will allow the bombs to grow around it and assimilate as if it were a part of the natural jaw bone once that has healed then they can place the teeth onto the titanium screws.

Using the same material - my dentist is in Playa Del Carmen. Smilemakeover. 6 extractions 12 implants. Going back to fit the temporary dentures. You have to wait till your gums heal for that. Waiting about two months for that. Back at the end of December for my permanent all on six top and bottoms with Crystal Ultra - Nano ceramic polymer material. Couldn’t be a nicer location! Or nicer people!!! Five minutes to five-star all inclusive resort. 1/3 cost of here in New York.

One of my relatives had this with titanium in the '80s and it was $28,000 for just the upper. More recently another relative had a full mouth I took her to the dentist for the consult, and I heard it starts at 50,000 for a full mouth. Very expensive but hey if you need it and you got the money it sounds like it's worth it to me. But I heard the dentist tell her sy has to come in regularly for cleanings, and I don't think it's something that can be done at home. Both of them seem to be very happy with their results. actually they are teaching convicts in prison to do this since alot of people in prison have no teeth. They are making dentures within a couple of months of entering the program. They now use computers software to make impressions unlike using modes. zirconia is much more technical and detailed and expensive.

The best materials available today are polymer nano ceramic. There are several brands on the market. The material is 1/3 the weight of zirconia not as noisy and has a much greater resistance to fracture. The material is also easily chair side dentist adjusted and repaired. Acrylic is a waste of time and money because of short life expectancy. The nano ceramic material is a life long expectancy. Why Luke doesn’t use it is likely because dentists can make adjustments and repairs with this product unlike the older traditional ones he uses. Nano ceramics affectively render zirconium and porcelain obsolete. Research for yourself and you will come to the same conclusion. Oh and because the material is so easy to work with it’s also less expensive.

Rose A. Strehler Hi Rose, I live on Long Island, New York. It’s available on my island and elsewhere in the states. Most dentist price about the same as Zirconia. $55-$65,000 not an option for me to consider. $20,000 was though. Playa Del Carmen is beautiful. The crystal ultra and similar polymer ceramic material is best option for sure. The acrylic option is vastly inferior. Zircinia is inferior. Porcelain is inferior. I went with 12 implants. With this material 8 or 10 probably would have been enough because less prone to cracking and 1/3 the weight. The material is also easily repaired unlike Zirconia. Google search and you’ll come to the same conclusion. I thought I had a thorough knowledge of all options. So glad I learned about this material just recently.

I went yesterday and they quoted me $17,500/arch. Not including anything else. They gave a quote of almost $80,000. Knocked it down to $65,000. The teeth alone are $35,000. None of this includes the sedation, IV, ETC.

Now, i found someone else to do them, online it says $17,500 for the bridge and implants (first doc. Had a separate prive for implanta). Teeth extractions were $100 vs the $500/ quoted yesterday.

You don’t use the temporary until the gums heal - I’ll probably go back for five days to have them adjust the temporaries which is always needed because my dentist in New York would charge the same as airfare and the resort. I’ll stay 10 days in December when they put my state of the art polymer nano ceramic Crystal ultra bridges in. I can’t believe how inexpensive. Only because they just opened up after 3 month lock down I’m sure. I was going to cheap out on the $1200 IV sedation - They threw it in for free. $20,000. Both arches. Covid 19 discount. Airfare and resort dirt cheap too. Maybe the best decision I have ever made. So happy I found this place. Same job in New York $65,000. For $20,000 here I’d get four implants and and 2 acrylic a snap in dentures like my temporaries. Finding this place is in no exaggeration like hitting the lotto. I’ve been shopping this for years while saving my money. Maybe in 5-10 more years I could’ve saved another $40,000. I’m going to have me some new state of art better then zirconia teeth for Christmas 😭 Tears of joy

I had to get 11 extraction from top in June bc I couldn't take the pain and waiting anymore(plus they were so bad dental.insurance covered that part) but I've been unable to use the temp denture period. So I will get back on the phone and get a visit started Tuesday. I love playa del Carmen that's where we spent our honeymoon. So I will look up the place u mentioned as another place to get a consultation and cost estimate bc my funds have declined too sadly.

Luke Kahng Can you explain what it is and why others are using it. I’m told it is six times stronger than acrylic but flexible unlike Ceramic porcelain and Zirconia hence far less chance of cracking - and feels most like natural teeth.

Luke Kahng I like your work you clearly are very devoted to your craft and it shows in the finished result. Your answer to my question though is less than a weak. You don’t use the material because you don’t need it is your answer. From what I have learned myself or any other patient will absolutely choose this material over zirconium. You may not need to use it - for whatever reason I don’t know but the material you use is arguably inferior to the various polymer nano ceramic materials now available.
