in this video I give weights, prices, make weight and tip bends on big cat fever, tangling with Catfish, Catfish pro tournament series rod, shatter cat and madkatz rods. another of info in this video so check it out!
My wife and I have 4 hellcats now. Med , med hvy and heavy. Depending on the cats in your area I do prefer the heavy over the med heavy. It seems to have a faster tip and better hook up.
I just bought 3 madkatz med heavy and love the quality of the rods. I do however wish I had ordered the medium because the medium heavy is a little stiffer than I'm used to. We will see after I get them on the water this weekend.
I bought one of the catfish pro rods last year and really like it. However, this year I bought a rippin lips rod & it's the best I've ever had. You should get one & review it. The medium heavy is a little stiffer than the catfish pro, but more backbone to land a monster easily! Great video brother!💯
I spoke to the owner at catapoloza in Sevierville tn this year. He's going to bring ripping Lipps next year so hopefully I get one and a interview about the company
Man I started by buying bass pro snagging special rods. They're available in 6' , 6'6" & 7' solid fiberglass, aluminum double nut reel seats, stainless line guides $35. They're stiff obviously but you could throw as much weight as you can handle & there's not a freshwater fish alive they can't handle.
Ok. Out of these rods you compared. Skipping the pricing, colors, reel seat material, weight, how many line guides, or glow tips. Which one do you recommend considering the true quality and craftsmanship of the rod itself? Which one in your opinion if you could own only own one of those would you choose for all around catfishing of every type or application?
Honestly I tend to bring the Catfish pro tournament series rod more because I've had multiple operations and it don't hurt my back as bad as some of the heavy rods but thats just a opinion. But it also depends on the spot I'm going here from the bank.
I don't lean towards one or the other. I also don't give my opinion on rods I've never fished with. That's why I have many different rods from Rod companies to give a honest opinion with no biased or favoritism. That's just me thou.
