hey DJ Jer, are there Scanners used on bigger concerts or do they use moving heads only? Is it save to operate a moving head on a light tripod-stand? cheers and thanks!
It depends what mover you are using on a tripod. The smaller ones are probably fine but bigger ones would not be recommended. There are scanners for larger concerts but when you get into large concerts they are using $4-9 thousand movers. Scanners aren't really used to much in the pro world. Scanners work great for DJ because they are compact and have a super fast pan tilt.
