I literally have a 25yo Conair hairdryer. It blows hard and hot, slower and hot etc... It was $15… still works, dries my hair. I don't know... All of these seem so gimmicky. I think at that price point it better regrow my hair, cook dinner, and clean the house.
Yeah I've had my Conair Pro for...... around ten years and it's working like day one. Has four different heat settings and two different air flow settings. I never understood pricy blow dryers.
The main problem with the Dyson is that there are no repair/service centers for them. Dyson won’t even repair them when they’re out of warranty. Also, Dyson states that their hairdryer is designed to last approximately 5 years. For the price I think that’s way to short a time for the home consumer. Personally, I prefer either the SRI or the Velecta Paramount OS. I also like the Elchim 3900.
@@garyzimmerman6367 With that price, that's why I think Dyson will better suit professional hairstylists. As a home consumer, I will choose an older model of T3 as my hairdryer
Pro tip here: you're applying the nozzle too perpendicular to the strand of hair. This will blow the cuticle open. Make sure you point the nozzle towards the ends of the hair, to make the cuticle more flat, resulting in more shine and condition.
Yaz! Exactly! My hair dresser blows my hair incorrectly, like that, even sometimes pointing the dryer up towards the roots! It causes frizz! Unfortunately she’s not great at blowouts maybe it’s time to say 👋🏻
None are the Dyson. They are just a similar shape. The second does have some included interesting technology. Dyson at this stage is a stand alone product. An investment worth making if budget permits.
I had years ago a hairdryer with this sensor within. It was a german brand. The dryer cools down automatically, fantastic. It got broken after long years of using. I never found that item again. Probably from very expensive brands. Mine was about 60-80 €.
I love my parlux too, I’ve dropped it so many times over the past 10 years and it’s still going strong, best $160 I spent, very, VERY expensive at the time, but well worth it.
Sometime you can get a good deal on the Dyson Around the fall time or December. Also if you go on their website and go through Dyson outlet you can get them for 100 bucks cheaper
I love my Dyson Supersonic and I use it for my own hair and also for my clients hair! I would say that 50% of my clients have all bought one after I started using mine on their hair, this is due to you being able to dry your hair super fast with the airflow on full and the heat on 1 or 2! This way it’s creating so much more protection of the heat on their hair. Both myself and my clients have noticed that they have almost zero split ends compared to how their hair health was before when they were blasting it with high heat and airflow. So in my book Dyson is the winner 😃🙏🎄✨🙏🎄✨🙏🎄✨🙏🎄✨
I have one. It’s really nice but I got use to no handle chi handshot (newer chi handle less model is too big for my hands). The gama iq is more quiet but at a higher pitch, which sucks because I wear hearing aids. It’s sleek in design but when I try to hold it by the nozzle and not the handle…too far up, I burn my hand and too far back I hit the cool shot button. For that reason it sits in its box. I found and fhi that has exact handleless design like original chi hand shot! Found it on overstock for about $60-70. Compact and pretty efficient.
Hey there! Which babies would you say was the lightest, please? I have chronic pain issues and am in a lot of pain after styling my hair with a Babyliss Big Hair brush dryer (50mm). Thanks for all your help xx
Wonder what you'd think about the Jimmy f6 (sub company to Xiaomi) hairdryer it much more affordable and very powerful.. I would love to see your review on it (also it's a very good dupe to the Dyson)
As a hairstylist, I have a Dyson. I was given the Tineco to try & give my feedback. It was awful. Doing long hair clients werent as bad but clients with short hair that were sopping wet wouldn't detect correctly. And it wouldn't detect right so it would turn down when you're still trying to smooth out the hair. Made me so mad I gave it back to the person. Lol. It also hurt my wrist cause its heavier than the Dyson. Tineco also makes vacuums which who knows if those are any good.
Is it worth it? It depends on your situation. If you want long healthy hair, if your hair is extremely damaged, if you're getting older and dealing with hair loss, the Dyson is an amazing tool in your arsenal. You also need good product and professional cuts and colors. If you're young, you have short hair, you color and cut your own hair, there are other more affordable options. The blow dryer is exceptional, it depends on your needs???
Dyson is the best and most copied for a reason! It’s luxurious and the most wonderful hand held hair dryer on the market, but with all its luxury it does come with a luxury price tag to match! It’s the Louis Vuitton of hairdryers and everyone wants one and everyone wants to make a duplicate it as well! Thank you for always showing and testing products so we can decide what we would like to spend out money on and how to take care of our hair! Much love Milania ❌⭕️♥️🥰😘
Personally the tineco isn't a dupe, it doesn't remotely look or try to act like a dyson but the cheap one milabu barely tried is a dupe but the tineco nope it definitely isn't
@@kylieballard2123 I agree its not a "dupe dupe" but def trying to be similar. I mean heck, tineco made vacuums before they made blowdryers just like Dyson. Lol
@@DezzKI I personally don't think dyson is all that, the be all to end all to be honest so I'm actually happy to try something else on the market, I am also not a hair stylist so I don't have the same needs or wants when it comes to my hair tools and to be honest I don't want to pay more then 300 for any hair tool
I bought the supersonic last summer and I’ve never been happier. It dries my hair in a super short amount of time and it’s also perfect for getting a perfect blowout. Plus it’s very quiet compared to other hair blowing tools. Totally worth the price!
They are not innovative at all, they use the Coanda effect discoverd by an romanian man loooong ago. Henri Marie Coandă ( 7 June 1886 - 25 November 1972)was a Romanian inventor, aerodynamics pioneer, and builder of an experimental aircraft, the Coandă-1910 described by Coandă in the mid-1950s as the world's first jet, a controversial claim disputed by some and supported by others. He invented a great number of devices, designed a "flying saucer" and discovered the Coandă effect of fluid dynamics.
@@MadalinaPVilcu i see your point, but nobody applied the coanda effect before. After the supersonic came out, everybody came out with a “empty headed” hairdryer with magnetic attachments. Now, how many are copying their other designs and products again?
In my mind as a licensed master cosmetologist there is no hairdryer as good as the Dyson supersonic! You have the full control at your hands and I will never use anything else 💯 %‼️‼️ sending love to you Milana, Andrey and baby Emorett 🙏❤️🙏💙🙏💙
I have the dayson and a salon black hair dryer.. i realized the salon let my hair smell burned but the dyson let my hair with the shampoo i used and conditioner
@@nin4339 Thank you. Now to go share with my loved ones what I'd like for Christmas. I'll even be nice to let them know I'm a Rouge at Sephora and can save them some money this weekend. LOL :)
@@shearsparkle I had the T3 2 featherweight for 10+ years and it never quit on me. I thought I’d treat myself to the Dyson - mistake (for me). I gave my featherweight to a friend before long term using the Dyson so I purchased the T3 Cura. I love it! Hair is not dried out or frizzy. Sign up on T3 website bc they do sales and extra promotions on top of the sales. Hey also do special sales on the featherweight dryers from time to time. They will do a Black Friday sale, too.
@@seymour5000000 during the pandemic I cracked and bought the full convertible collection. But I’ll be checking my email for Black Friday promotions. My drugstore hair drier that I’ve had for 5yrs is reaching the end of the line. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. This helps sooo much!!
Not to really argue semantics... but I'm not really interested if dupes are "better"... I feel like by definition that's not really in the realm of possibilities for a dupe because they're essentially a knock off. I care about the performance - are they on par with the original or are they just lookalike frauds?
I need something for my bleached damaged snapped off hair at my crown and temples - ugh. It won’t heal but I have to fix it since my straight hair shows every broken piece.
Hey friend, I really appreciate your ability. Now we are looking for someone who can create videos to promote our products in RU-vid.You are the right person that we are looking for. So may I know whether there are any chances to cooperate with you?
the problem with the dyson witch is super super anoying is it dosn't work in every country the wattage is different so for travelling its absolutly useless had to buy a parlux when i was in the states
I absolutely love the Dyson it is worth every penny. I have very long thick hair drying time is so much quicker such a time saver than any other hair dryer on the market. I have never used the highest heat setting ever and never put the hair that close to the brush. With my Dyson received a brush and detangling comb my hair is so much softer and healthier using the Dyson. It is a different technology I can't say enough good things about it. I usually use the lowest heat setting and the medium air flow. If I am in a rush I use the highest air setting without the heat and without any attachments. Then I will put the tool on and continue drying. Love, love, love it best purchase ever hands down 🤗
Hi Milabu, yummy mummy 😊 ive been watching your posts for years so forgive me if you've done this and I've missed it but what was your profession? A hair dresser? All I can do is straighten my hair or tie it up x 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I can only curl one side with straightners pmsl xxx
Hi, Great video 💕. I recently purchased the Dyson Hairdryer last month. It is fast drying and kinder to the hair because the heat settings can be adjusted. I still have to master to get the straight look that I want to achieve. Has anyone any tips for me?
Personally I'd buy the tineco not just because it looks great but seems innovative 😊 and it's against the grain, the cheapest one yeah no though but the tineco I'd try that
Just make sure it has a return policy cause me and a few other stylists at my salon all disliked it. You think it's gonna be so great with that technology and its a fail. But that's just a few peoples opinion. Some may love it.
