Which version of the game have you played? Only con of mine for the remastered mod is it changes all the billboard advertisements to random ones and the m16 gun texture is messed up.
I've played the PS2 Version first then the Wii Version and lastly the Xbox Version it's one of my favourite games of all time. It's a shame the sequel got cancelled alongside the Xbox 360 Version. I never even knew a sequel was planned for The World is Yours up until recently. Your videos covering the cancelled sequel were heartbreaking. I feel there's a severe lack of open world crime games this generation compared to previous generations.
I think everyday if Scarface would have become a series like GTA he could have been a pretty big competitor, just imagine a newer Scarface game released last year or this year, just imagine how would it look like and what a detailed gameplay would have😍
The Xbox version does support progressive scan as well as widescreen, these options just aren't listed in game as the game detects what you have set on your Xbox's dashboard, it also has 720p support sort of (it's just an upscale from 480p as opposed to true 720p)
*ps2 version has progressive scan & widescreen aswell, the pro of the ps2 version is the blood effects are more prominent the con is the draw distance.*
While graphically/frame rate wise the Xbox version looks better than PS2, the PS2 version has these little aesthetic things that just make the game hit differently which is why I appreciate that version more
I played pc version first back then. Now after playing all of the versions of this game I think that ps2 has much more effects and is a superior version. Tony's suit looks more shiny. Sunsets are amasing. Blur effects everywhere. Car shading looks really nice. After ps2, a pc version looks like garbage and higher resolution makes game models even uglier. The performance however is not that great. I think framerate goes below 30 quite often. I played xbox version using my 360, but its backwards compatibility is too slow. Wii version has a more stable framerate, and its internal resolution seems to be higher. But it does not have that amount of ps2 effects.
I just picked up the Wii version for this game and I’m mind blown how far ahead of its time this game was. Too bad I couldn’t find a PC download version tho. I’m bad at pirating lmao.
correction: turning up the mouse sensitivity doesn't work, the negative mouse acceleration makes this impossible, also this game does have built in controller support, it just doesn't support newer controller standards
Yeah, I found the mouse sensitivity on PC version to be janky and uncomfortable. And the awkward control scheme which you *cannot* alter (like having to hit 'Enter' to take cover, for example - forcing you to lift your left hand from your normal WASD position and reach across to the other side of the keyboard). The mouse sensitivity and awkward controls was a deal breaker for me.
@@DeadPixel1105 you can change the mouse sensitivity via configuration file, but you have to set the file to read only afterwards. It'll be way better than before, but you still can't quite turn on a dime though...
I did remember the cheat codes on Scarface most people show cheat codes on their videos but barely Scarface cheat codes I don't know why they don't do that
The PS2 is hand down the best version. Usually the PS2 port is the worst, but this game was developed with the PS2 hardware in mind. Those blood and bullet effects on enemies not just tony is amazing and a real deal breaker. Gotta have them.
I play in PC version , all version have some bugs (gamepad assignation , sometimes impossible to take drugs or money when you kill dealers etc , this wonderful game need to have a remaster "definitive version" like mafia or GTA . I downloaded a stable version of Scarface but the game only can played in 800/600 ! but on pc with good graphic card the textures is good ^^i'm at 60% of the game , i have to play "the dock boss" Grettings from Belgium ^^
This comparison reminds of NFS Hot Pursuit 2 since the GameCube, OG Xbox and PC version were developed by EA Seattle while the PS2 version was developed by EA Black Box and most consider the PS2 the best version
I'm pretty sure I have this game as a physical copy somewhere, I remember trying to get it to run on my old gaming laptop and giving up after a few hours, but god this game was awesome, played the hell out of it on my old Xbox
Miss the game so much the music in the video at the beginning reminded me when you walk in the Tony's mansion and go edit your place may I ask where I can find the track I do miss it so much letting it play at the background
I just have a standard "came with the PC" mouse and not really a specific brand of mouse (at least that I know of). How exactly do I know or find out what kind of mouse sensitivity booster do I install?
I personally use the LogiTech G502, it allows the sensitivity to go up to 25,600 DPI, which 21000 DPI is where I was able to play the game with decent turning. It's around $35USD on Amazon. Hope this helps!
i know this is a year old i dont why youtube keeps recommending me these low sub channels and old videos from 100k sub channels, assumed youtube would only push out million+ sub channel contents, anyways pc port can work just fine at least for me its just as simple as click install then play after, i never had to use compatability mode once for any early/mid 2000s and early to late 90s games. millage may vary is more like it not wont work on newer systems. anyways retrospective videos about the different ports and unique features each version has for said game is what i like to see. thanks youtube.
I will gladly take the console versions over the PC version because the hackneyed gamepad controls are atrocious. Even with the patch the game controls like sh*t. The keyboard button prompts are still there and navigating a menu is frustrating. I will gladly sacrifice the high resolution and fps of the PC version for a decent control scheme. Sorry man but the PC version is a terrible port and even with all the fixes it's still an atrocious port
All this licensing shitt hell pisses me so off , so manny Games i want to buy for my Digital Collection ar no more Avaiable , Testrdrive Unlimited 1 XB360 Stor no more listed , Forza Games no one on XB360 Store , NFS Carbon has been delisted too total shitty licences expring and Outrun Cost 2 Cost too delisted !!
I'm sorry, but the color changes in the "Remastered Project" mod are very poor. It's like they were done using a tool that is still stuck with 16 colors and no sense for nuance and contrast. Check out the super bright red on the carpet for example or the green on the police car.. ouch. It looks ridiculous. I love mods, but let's not act like every mod is a masterpiece. I'll play the PC version _without_ the "Remastered" mod. Maybe I can find some faithful texture mods that don't mess up the overall look. Reshade and Special K could be useful as well if you only do slight adjustments.
What I'd give for a remastered upscale on console, wonder if there's a way they'd see remaster project and consider maybe a crowd funded project. Pc remastered looks incredible!
Can you make video of Godfather 2 game about training scenes in the game that give us information like you made one for godfather 1 please make the video 🙏🙏🙏
9:11 Not to mention you cannot rebind your controls and there 's no mouse based interface to navigate the menus, which is funny cuz their previous game on PC The Simpsons Hit & Run had these things, did they just forgot to add them? But then again this was back when console to PC ports where universally poor for ex. Missing features from other versions Ported from the PS2 without including the graphical improvements from the 360 version Locked at 30 FPS Worse sound quality
doesnt matter that tony is wearing a chain with certain outfits cos hes not tony from the movie. hes tony after the movie. so hes a different guy. during the movie he probalby didnt have money for a chain with the hawian shirt. but towards the ending fo the movie he wore jewlery. so then it makes sense that the game (set after the movie) tony would want to wear jewlery with hawian shirt. the chains he wears throught the game is all he had on him of worth when sosa took it all from him, he didnt sell the chains and decieded to keep them. perhaps this is a symbol of him keeping somthing from his peak and reminding himself of were he got to and how he got there and how hes going to get back to that level.
In my own opinion The ps2 version was a terrible port. It might have the best features but it's easier to understand why it would always crash, you couldn't drive too fast without losing all the textures, and it was very frustrating beating the tutorial. I remember my whole family flipping out because we had 2 Playstations an old fat one and new slim one and both would give us disc errors. We traded it like 7 times with the same issues. The wii version was the best in my experience being the most playable.
the disc might have had laser brun on it and wasn't able tobe read unless u got 7 different copies of the disc then that's mad, i never had that problem with ps2 unless the disc was severely scratched or had laser burn
No matter how hard and difficult this game was i want a freaking Remaster , just updated graphics and maybe some restored content which was cut out of the original game
@krypton7807 That's why if you have a crap load of money and you're about to die or about to get f'd by the cops then you spend all the money you can on lowering gang heat and buy exotics since you about to lose the money anyways
the blood effects are pretty cool, but the wii version's graphics look much less blurry and jaggy. The controls looks a lot more engaging than just locking on to somebody and firing, too. The Wii has the best version of scarface you can play on consoles in my opinion
