I feel you on having hand-me-downs at the time these OG shoes were popular. I also remember finding a pair of kmart shoes that barely resembled the original muska pro models that I tried to pass off as the real deal by free-handing the circa logo with a bic pen and sharpie. Wasn't fooling anyone.ha!

we used to cut the tongues out of the old kalis and throw them in the new to have the double tongue back in the day.

My favourite pair has to be Koston 1.. so dope 🤘

I actually think the lynx imo is better than the very og version with that thicker sole makes it look even fatter, also I didn't notice that side panel on the wenninglynx but I can live with that by far the wennings have fattest lynx tongue yet for the reissued version. I got 3 pairs lol

I got two pairs of the legacy OG dimes in size 11. I literally just broke in one of the pairs the last couple days. I still have another pair in the box brand new.

I am in the same boat as you my friend, @ 14:04 i couldn’t afford those shoes back in high school and the only store that had them were to far to drag my mom on the bus to go buy them, but i’ve always wanted the osiris d3’s props on you for owning the new ones… Where did you buy them? Maybe i can buy a pair now that i can afford them in my 30’s to. Good video bro reminds me of my brief time in pacific palisades high school.

I like fat tongues and the way the laces poof up higher.(like og Kalis) i hate the mesh on the toe of Kalis reissue.. I hated em soo much that i declared em skate &instead of chill. I even used gnarly grip tape and killed em in 1 month. (im 45 so takes longer now as sessions are 1-2 hours instead of 4-5 ;) **eS Creager & Adio Hawk are still top of my bucket list. Even though i grew up hating tony Hawk & even more so for all his crappy skkateParks that have kids trapped. I still love his black & yellow Adios...

Nice one dude. I'm 40 so I was around when all of the classics came out. And it's interesting to know the differences cause you can't really tell from a pic on the brand's website. I also noticed that for me es is more true to size. While with DC you can have different CW's of the same model and they feel different like the white lynx I have compared to the black ones.

Tech puffy shoes are the best, even slim cupsole shoes are great, but vulcanized thin shoes are basically socks

Those SLB mids were a hit or miss for me I copped the black and red color way but the white greens look sick on feet but to skate In pretty thin for a cup sole but a clean chill sneaker with a 90’s vibe

I love all the bulky shoes from that era.. Why wouldnt people want bigger tounges n soles for padding is beyond me.. I always wore cushy shoes and my legs still paying for my sk8 days.. It wont hurt till ur older but if i had skated the thin flimsy shoes they skate these days id really be screwed

Iam 46 and been skating almost my whole life 38 years I believe so now Iam getting thicker puffier shoes to protect my feet thin shoes are so brutal if you skate almost everyday.

Nike copied the hell out of DVS and ES and got away with it. It´s kind of sad. skate shoes of the 1990s were just beautiful. The Osiris and spiked hair just go together.
