It's interesting that with Omega Supreme, Fanstoys went a little more stylized and DX-9 went more cartoon accurate whereas with Sixshot, Fanstoys went cartoon accurate and DX-9 went more stylized. Both are awesome figures.
I prefer the green chest version of Sixshot, so I 'had' to buy the DX9 version. He doesn't disappoint, even if he can't hold his weapons for worth a damn. Also happy Thanksgiving, we don't celebrate such a thing in the Netherlands, but I hope you have a good day. 🎉😎
I got Hydra a few months back and absolutely love how he adds to my display. Certain figures just have a presence and this is definitely one of them. I think they’re both great options though and again we as collectors win. Very honest and well done versus. Hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving TM as well as everyone in this great community of collectors!
I remember the FT version sat on the shelves for a long time. Took awhile to sell out. Still really happy with that version, still one of my favorite FT figures.
I do like the look of that dx9, but I picked up FT Hydra from Tony at robotoybase less than a month ago. He emailed me to let me know they were out of stock of Hydra, but he had one they removed from box for photos and replaced; gave me a nice deal on it. I wondered if it would turn out alright, and to my happy surprise I received it yesterday practically band spanking new! Got Hydra less than what people are selling it for used on the second hand market; and that's including the high cost of shipping. Happy Thanksgiving fellas; mine sure has been so far.
Thanks for the vs Sony. Always appreciate the work that goes in to these. I have had Hydra since it came out, and still love it as much as when I got it. It is on of the few figures I have never transformed though. Not because I am worried about transforming it but I always thought the alt modes were dumb. With my original G1 toy to the cartoon. I only ever really liked his bot mode, and FTs did a very nice job. The DX9 is not a crappy figure by any means though. As always, it is just nice when we have options. Have a great week.
Lessgo, happy thanksgiving everyone and Sony (Hope I didn’t spell it wrong 😅)OH, if you change hydras chest piece be fecking careful. Both of the screws on mine stripped so easily without barely any force, just the force it took to get them through the paint and in and out. Also it’s funny my leg piece on the right leg is loose and the right is tight too. And for anyone with hydra you can get a double jointed knee for a crouch or something if you extend his knee transformation joint😉
@@TMReviews yeah I’ve worked on bikes and other stuff in that vein and have never had a screw strip so easily with the correct screwdriver so definitely something to think about before changing it😅 and good haha. Hope it’s a good one for you🙏 gonna DM you on Instagram to show you something
I went with DX9 strictly because the Wolf and Jet modes have a better representation. FT's takes the car mode even though both have way too much going on.
This is an interesting versus to me...I don't have the FT version but I believe it displays extremely well on a shelf...that said, I have the DX9 version & because I don't have the FT, I can say it displays pretty darn well...I jus believe if I had the FT, I'd like it more although I'm completely satisfied with DX9...I Kno this is basically rambling but that's why this is an interesting versus imo...it's one where I don't think any collector would be displeased with any of the options out including the G Creations version but if someone has or had all 3 they would go with the FT...
Depends what you mean by "best". If you mean "fastest" then Nick the Toy Guy, TCP or Toydojo, if you mean cheapest but not necessarily fast then any of the Chinese retailers
I have the DX9 because at the time, I thought it was a better figure. I hadn't really scrutinized the FT version until recently, and now I would trade Hanzo for Hydra if I had the time to do it. The shoulders on Hanzo are just a game breaking issue, and they could have fixed it in the re-issue, but as usual, lazy reissue... and the reason the guns are loose in Hanzo's hands is because they made the gun handles way too small, and they made Hanzo's hands way too big, it's like holding a gun with a handle the size of a toothpick, another terrible design flaw that they neglected to fix.
One this two figures have in common with the Hasbro version is that all 3 of them are a floppy mess all 3 of them are great looking figures but that floppiness i don't know if is because of all of the different modes the figure has but all 3 of them have floppy limbs
