@@noelalbelo if we were drafting MJ and LeBron and I told you that player A) will play for 13 years, get you to 6 finals, lead the league in scoring 10 times but take years off in his prime when you least expect it Or Player B) will play at an all star level for 20 years, be the all time leading scorer, rarely gets injured and will get you to 10 nba finals. I’m drafting player B. It’s incumbent upon me as an owner to draft high quality players and to get my players a high quality coach. Something that Cleveland was never able to do that MJ got blessed with in getting Pippen drafted and Phil Jackson signed. If KD doesn’t join the 73 win warriors this debate is over years ago and Bron has two more rings imo and never leaves Cleveland the second time around

MJ is #1, and these MAIN stats reflect it. 1) 6/6 NBA CHAMPIONSHIPS (while also being the MVP of the finals ALL 6 times as well). 2) 5-time LEAGUE MVP in 15 seasons. 3) 5th in ALL-TIME SCORING in 15 seasons (keep in mind 2 seasons he played in LESS than 20 games) 4) CAREER Avg of 30.1 PPG (1st ALL-TIME) 5) 10 scoring titles in 15 seasons, in which is crazy if you truly think about it! 6) 2/2 Olympic Gold Medals (1992 & 1996) Although those numbers aren't all the best in their respective categories. No one can compare to those amounts of accolades in that time frame of playing in the NBA MJ is the 🐐 and it's really not for debate ✌🏾

It’s relevant because MJ didn’t seek out an easy path by jumping ship and forming super teams. Not that hard to figure out why that would matter to some. I might add another stat. Coaches they played under and got fired……MJ was loyal and retired to stand up for Phil, Lebron is quick to throw everyone under a moving bus. Character is soft.

How long did MJ play, 16 or 17 years tops, LBJ got drafted straight out of high school and is still playing at 39. LBJ is a great player, but when the conversation is who do you compare the greatest players of the NBA to, MJ is the standard that is always, always, always chosen. That is why MJ is the GOAT.
