I bought a boat that was sitting unused covered with a tarp and the white vinyl seats were nearly black with mold. Marine 31 did the trick and the seats are like brand new now. Sent the guy I bought the boat from photos and he thinks I got the seats reapolstered. Amazing stuff
Helpful video, thank you! My pontoon sat for two years resulting in complete covering of black mold. I bought 1 gallon laundry Bleach. Before I could finish UNDILUTED spraying the entire boat, the first part I sprayed the mold was 99% gone. I''ll spray it all again tomorrow then hose it down. Total time (it's a 30' pontoon), about 20 minutes -- no scrubbing. I previously tried hydrogen peroxide and vinegar separately with little success.
Use Concrobium Mold Control spray on your boat carpet, vinyl and canvas once a month and you don't have this problem in the first place. Spray it heavy in the fall when you put your boat up and it will be mold and mildew free in the spring. It uses a fabric safe salt to kill mold and mildew. You can get it at home depot in the paint department. So many years I struggled with mold and mildew and finally I got the solution.
Jim Campbrill I was very impressed. It did a great job in the wells on fiberglass but it also really cleaned those mildew dots all over the vinyl. I recently even used it to clean a gross tumbled marble bathroom floor and it got the tiles and grout really clean. It seems to be some kind of turbo bleach. Ruined a shirt I was wearing.
It is bleach. Main ingredient is hypochlorite. I don’t have carpet but yeah I guess if the carpet isn’t color fast it would ruin it. I will say it splashed on a pair of dark socks and ruined them.
