Haven't even started my 1st grow but alot of youtubers say infinity. Looking at it, it appears better built. I've seen some light testing vids where Mars had fudged the numbers (efficiency) which makes me wonder what each fan pulls load wise. So far I'm going with infinity, optic led , and the tent....well, I see mixed reviews on gorilla, ac, Mars, vivosun or they don't offer a taller 2x2 . Originally trying to go budget, I'm lost as far as tests go. A zip around door is a must for working . Love your vids man and the fact you do 2x2 grows really is awesome!
That’s literally all I care about! The noise level… to be honest from my own research I think the amount of noise the motor makes is irrelevant compared to the actual sound of the air being pushed through! So if you get a bigger fan and run it on a slower speed that’s the only way to get it quieter
@@mircolaufer4796 you can but it will still make noise if the fan is on loud… you would need to soundproof around the fan with a box first, and then put a muffler in-line
Mars hydro and vivosun ripped off ac infinity's controller with the exact same programming. But they screwed up and copied an older model from three years ago that has outdated features compared to ac infinity's new controller 67 and 69. Mars hydro and vivosun are your typical china company that doesn't fully understand what they are copying.
I was hoping that you would at least mention the difference in the sound, especially at the settings of one and two. Also, I'm wondering if you used a charcoal filter with that Eco Plus fan and how you hooked it up?
Once I saw that Vivosun & Mars Hydro had copied AC Infinity's fans, but were selling them for less money, I knew they were cutting corners somewhere. Since I run my fans 24/7, I can't afford to be cutting corners, just to save a few bucks. I'm sticking with AC Infinity.
@@GRASSINCLASS which was the quietest at different levels...? I also love my T6 as the AC tent has the flap, so the controller has a dedicated place to hang it. Then there is the T6 app which is just awesome/ Being able to look at the history data and dial in is so easy. It also save my ass, when the timer switch failed to turn my lights on. I could see the temp hadn't dropped so went and checked.
I watched this video like 4 times and I’m buying the ACINFINITY!! Keep making more videos. Can you make a video talking about your ventilation in your tent? 2x2 or 2x4? How you have it set up and everything ? That would be a nice video!!!
The temp difference on the vivosun controller, looks like the temp and humidity are connect the wrong way round, temp is actually humidity, and humidity is actually temp
nice comparison, I love my ac infinity 6" and it uses much less power and way quieter than my old metal case vivosun's though they have been running for years and still work thanks cheers! 👍💨🔨
Just wanted to say that this is one of the best reviews on these fans. I just wish it would have featured the new model of the AC Infinity fan. But awesome video.
The Mars 6 fan i have has plastic blades.. When did they change it? What a crap company, always changing their products when they feel like it.. Buy 10 Mars products and none of them will be the same..
they upgraded not sure when . but if its to make a product better I can't see nothing wrong with that .tech is constantly changing just got a new iPhone and they have another one
Renaldo Lavine weird. Mine doesn’t do that. They have excellent customer service. Might want to contact them because it should be relatively noise free.
That 5 degrees difference is a bummer. You would maybe expect them to be off by 1-2 degrees, compared to each other, but this .... Obviously some natural acid from your fingers, and also temperature difference, can change the metal surface of the probe/sensor, but it would not make that much of a difference. There might be something wrong with the materials or components used in that probe. Or they are reading out the values wrongly in the controller. About the performance you measured from the fans: I have not looked into Vivosun's technical information about their fan, but Mars Hydro for example is not disclosing if their fans have an EC-Motor/Engine. Why is that important ? Well, EC-Motors are up to 50 % more efficient than regular motors. Notice that i say "up to", because most of the time its more like 25-30 %. EC-Motors pulse the power/energy, because you dont need it to be consumed to 100 % for one full rotation of the blades. When you see a price difference of say 30 % between fans, then a lot of the time its the EC vs Non-EC situation. You can observe that with cheap oscillation clip-fans. Thanks for making that test, even if it is not an indepth tear down. Peace bro ✌
I Have heard that these pick up interference ie the temperature/humidity speed controller stops working when using HPS lights. To set the record straight I ended up purchasing two of the AC Infinity fans S8 & S6 and two controllers 67 & the 69 I was torn between them and the Hyper fan but these swayed the scale as it has a lot more features. I am running a Lumatek Digital HPS and no issues, I have built a led 20 cob bar light which I will use when it gets real hot but no issues with them so far maybe it might be the case the first ones had issues and they resolved it ie (updated components) .... Three thumbs up for them like Rick James 👍👍👍
What's up bro,,,, wondering would you say that any of those fans are more quiet than the other. I'm still using the 6" hurricane fans and they are not quite at all
I should have watched this before my purchase. As it turns out, I bought the AC Infinity Air Filtration PRO Kit 8, the 8" version, and wonder how they compare.
What your calling a quick connect is not a quick connect but a device called a cable gland, cord grip, or strain relief. They are commonly used in industrial wiring applications such as factory automation or electrical controls. Sometimes you see them used in higher end electrical products as well. The basic idea is that whenever wiring or cabling is run through a hole (usually some type of metal enclosure), the enclosure material tends to scrape away or damage the wire insulation over time. It is also a point of high mechanical strain such as shear that lead to common points of failure. The glands protect the wire/ cable and some also seal the wholes from the elements.
Great comparison video. Like you, I couldn't live with a short power cord like those on the MARS HYDRO and VIVOSUN units. I'd immediately have to head to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy the parts to make a longer cord and replace the factory power cord. FYI - I'm using the ventilation fans in the design of an air filtration system for laser cutter/engraver machines, so some of the features in the controls are of no use to me.
Just curious may sound dumb …. But I have a ac infinity inline. I set it on auto mode. kinda worry the fan might burn out cause it’s constantly turning the fan on and off trying keep the humidity steady I guess. Just wondering wouldn’t that burn out the in-line fan ? Cause it’s constantly changing it’s fan speed I just bought a inkbird hopefully that helps
@grass I’n class , do you have any experience with the cheaper models as far as lifespan? I need to replace a exhaust fan but don’t need all the options or care about noise but I read in the comments for the cheaper units a lot of lifespan issues and even fire warnings which are my big issues when coming to buying
As a user of T4 Mars hydro fan and ACI T6 Fan. I can honestly say, anybody who says ACI unit is super quiet and can't be heard, hasn't really had to use it much lol. My MH unit no comparison is way better in regards to sound or hearing the fan run. Once speed on ACI hits 5 or higher its loud af in comparison... I do like ACI cord lengths better and the app/controllers. They do carry good products but you don't have to break the bank and buy everything ACI. It's a popular brand simply bc most all relevant content creators are sponsored by them and push their influence accordingly. They get alot of free gear to push their product. Always do your homework
I noticed when u plug in a external thermometer it moves it into the internal spot so basically if u noticed your inside tent temp is your current module temp should he at
When the battery gets lit on some of them they will read off sounds funny but me an my friends had the same equipment an had the same problem it was the batterys
Comparing a well used AcInfinity to 2 new fans is pointless, the reason you have temp differences is due to degradation of the probe on the used unit. There is no solidity to this video whatsoever.
I can’t complain with the Vivosun 440cfm 6” fan. Had it over a year, works great. All metal construction. However that controller from A/C Infinity looks awesome
Hi, I'm trying to build a DIY Ice Cooler A/C like one of these ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ezOV85PDZFc.html which fan would you recommend? I need to be able to run it off of a battery and also ideally a portable solar panel, and I'd like it to have variable speed. Not sure what size would be best, seems that are 4" and 6" models, I certainly want it to be as quiet as possible, someone told me 6" models are quieter, but would probably be bulkier attached to a cooler, and also somehow I'll need to attach them to the ducting running through the cooler
I have 3 Vivosun 190CFM carb filter’s in 2 of 3 of my 4x4x6.5 Vivosun tents. On low they suck in all 4 walls in like a crushed beer can. It’s no joke. They work well to cover the smell of my garden. Had them for almost a year now. I have the 3rd one hooked up to my 2x2x4. On low, the tent looks like it’s being choked out. Lol. My plants love the negative pressure.
So was the problem that you had the connectors wrong like that one comment said to why your sensor was reading inverse ? I really hope that was your problem cuz I’m not buying a new fan of the sensor don’t work. Did you just connect them backwards?
