I wish you had done the same test with the DJI connected directly to the Komodo and the Teradek looped out from the DJI OR an individual test of each one. Thanks for this though. It is helpful.
May I ask which mode you had the DJI receiver set to? Control or Broadcast? I’ve tried both modes on the DJI and I usually only get the artifacting and signal loss issues when in broadcast mode. However I’ve been getting a really solid connection and no issues at all when I’m control mode even with stock antennas. I’d give Teradek the win when it comes to low latency, but the DJI is hard to beat when it comes to bang for buck, just with they’d come out with a standalone receiver coz I’d still pick a SmallHD monitor over the DJI.
This in an H+V (horizontal and vertical polarity) antenna configuration on the Bolt 6. Teradek advises this as a "standard configuration" setup where you're not maxing out range and need reliable signal. They recommend all-V configuration for the longest range. So, technically the antenna setup shown isn't the configuration that you'd use to show off the longest range of the Bolt 6
@@nigel_the_director But the Dji has a range of up to 6km and gets handily beaten by a unit that has a range of less than 500m. On top of that it has a lot more latency as well..
