To My Brother's and Sister's of FDNY, I'm a Retired Firefighter myself and helped with 9/11 but it totally amazes me how traffic doesn't know how to get out of your way when responding to calls, God Bless and Gods Speed, thanks for the video
I’m FDNY on the ems side and let me tell you, I can have the rumbler on, spamming it because I have an arrest in the back and the taxis will sit there and not move until the light turns green.
I loved every second of this celebration of sirens and lights!! My heart swells with pride for the best of the best…the FDNY! Great compilation my friend!!

Sorry for all the comments. You do such a great job, at filming. My favorite is that big conversation Bus. The massive EMS rig. I guess that's where the NYPD came up with term. Calling a BUS instead of just saying Ambulance everything is huge in the big city. You make my day filming all the different responses.
Thank you FDNY best filmer. On Squad #18, they have the light bar set up. Same Federal lights basically like NYPD. Only mounted different. Is that a NEW light system they are trying out for front roof. I do like the square rotation ones on the other rigs. They seem real attention getting. I have visited the Federal booth at Con- Expo. And the guy demo the Federal one, showing the NEW high intensity flash patterns they are testing. The Federal one is still gosh darn EXPENSIVE.
Another question. What is the Rescue type Rig. That says ( HighRise) on side. What does that Rig do. What does it carry. Thank you for showing all these different Rigs, that FDNY has. Lots of special type, large Rigs.
impressive ! I have a question that I ask myself as a Frenchman: is this slow siren only in New York or also in other states? I would say like cats growling before they fight (I thought it was identical to the police sirens as some have), another question, is this siren so slow recognizable or audible in traffic because I have the impression that the big horn can be heard much more?
Is there a difference between the "lower" sound sirens and the more loud and shreaking ones? Noticed it during my trip to NYC but couldn't get to know if there's any
Collapse rescue unit, sadly that's one of our important parts of every services possible worry, as earthquakes are a possibility anytime soon, when Christchurch earthquake it was all about collapsed buildings from home's too Comercial buildings especially so, every walking around town as the fronts of store's fell onto people, the safest place was in the middle of the street. Just remembered is 9/11 now that was of course the absolutely worst case in point of the human race, NEW YORK ❤😷😎.
IT IS A SUPPORT UNIT TO THE REGULAR RESCUES FOR MAJOR INCIDENTS AND SUCH.....IT CARRIES ADDITIONAL TOOLS, WOODS AND OHTER EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR SHORING UP AT COLLAPSES AND SEARCHES AND SUCH.....
