I personally don't think he's trash but he overlaps too much with Nahida in my opinion: every team he is into would be exactly as good as they are without him.
Actually people not calling him trash but easy to skip because he strong but don't bring anything new for dendro team that already exists + some people already have nahida/DMC and they want to go for yelan + xingqiu banner

I already have him at level 70 and he is insane. I'd rather use him. Nahida is ok I only got her for her material collecting skill lol

3 mirror uptime trick: Q-NA till the end of 2nd sword rain- instantly press E(as after second sword rain mirror disappears quickly)- NA for next 2 sword rain-wait for like .5 sec then do CA(on 2nd turn mirror stays for short duration after 4th sword rain, you need .5sec wait so it can disappear then only you get another mirror.) I was looking for this kinda info but couldn't find anywhere, hope it helps👍🏻.
Omg thank you. Been struggling his combo. Also, an instant 3 mirror trick without using the burst is by holding his E skill above the enemy and do a plunging attack. Then do the burst with 3 mirrors to maximize its potential.

@@CM_684 While you can use both in a team: alhaitham yao yao raiden xingqiu is an example, neither raiden or kuki are recommended in the spiral abyss for alhaitham. It's viable, but this is neither the comfortable team nor does it offer the highest possible dmg for alhaitham.
OMEGA COCKA King is here. While I do wish his burst was overall cheaper and his normals weren't nerfed, I do love how he's actually got something of a skill gap. Really enjoying him so far
He's getting Childe like treatment, where once at time of his release and rerun too , people were like Childe's weakness is that Xingqiu exists😂. Complex kit and insane dendro application is already enough to make him worth the wishes
it depends a lot, if you have nahida and great on-field carries he's pretty much a waste of summons specially if you don't have Hu Tao or Yelan who come next. 1-He has ER issues since he needs to focus on 4 different stats CRITD/CRITR + EM/ER, 70 energy cost... 2-Requiring a 2nd dendro in your team almost 100% of the time, limits his options for team comps greatly and good luck if you don't have Zhongli. 3-Very punishing rotation that doesn't offer much upgrade from many other far less punishing comps that deal even more damage and also allow different variants, such as double hydro+nahida+kuki/raiden, double electro+nahida+bennett/anemo/zhongli (and now maybe yaoyao too). Don't get me wrong, he is a viable character, but the next 2 characters are top #1 single target dps and #1 hydro support... and also Nahida is a far better dendro unit and Traveler/Yaoyao are 4* that have far more options to be effective in different comps as dendro characters.
@@francesccampos1343 Hu tao might be #1 Single target dps but That's contradictory to your first line about waste of summons if i already have a great on field carry. And You mentioned Zhongli for AlHaitham who doesn't need shielder in most cases as compared to Hu tao who cannot function without Zhongli. Next for Yelan- She's um 2nd best off field Hydro off field/sub dps #1 Hydro support off field is Xingqiu no doubt. Nextly , Yelan - she's enabled to do more dmg by using her with Xingqiu. Otherwise she also has Energy issues. Similarly AlHaitham running along with lets say Favonius Sword DendroMC is also a bonus for him since he can focus less on energy and can build 4pc Gilded since 4pc Deepwood will be on Traveller. Also You cannot Run Hu tao will Yelan alone , one mistake and your Hu tao rotation will be fcked. Yelan's relevant in the meta because of Xingqiu. If someone says Yelan can be your 2nd Xingqiu for 2nd team on abyss , they don't know what they are saying. If you think wishing for Yelan to put her on a Hyperbloom team with DendroMC on 2nd team , its better to use AlHaitham Barbara/Kokomi Kuki instead of Yelan Traveller kuki team since Hyperbloom team scale off how fast can Dendro be applied on enemies which AlHaitham clearly is miles ahead of Traveller. In terms of Flexibility , you can control how his dendro infusion to such an extent that he almost feels like a Catalyst user. Yelan is worth your Primos but as someone who rarely even uses Xingqiu, Yelan seems like a waste of wishes to me. Yes i don't use Xingqiu even tho i use Yoimiya (i beat Wolflord in abyss with Yoimiya Kokomi Fischl Kazuha and it was able to clear last floor with wolves as well)

As i said he can be viable to play, so is Xiao, Itto, Nilou or Eula and they can also clear abyss 12 (many many comps can with the proper investment) but comparing him to top tier comps is delusional.

The examples i gave you are quite the same, you can love their playstyle all you want, but saying they are top tier because a hyper invested xiao or Eula can clear abyss 12 is just a lie.
Yeah I only have him at level 70 with talents at 4 and he's doing some good damage. Using Black Sword R5 plus Nahida in his team and he puts in work already. Best guy character in a long time. Not since Zhongli have we gotten such a stud.

Cast Burst (Q) with zero mirrors. Then he’ll get a refund of 3 mirrors. 2. Do normal attacks (do NOT do charged attacks at this point), and procc 2 instances of rain blades. 🔪🔪 3. When you see the 2nd instance of rain blades, cast his Skill (E) to maintain 3 mirrors. 4. Do normal attacks again (still NO charged attacks) and procc 2 more instances of rain blades. _(4 rain blades at this point)_ 🔪🔪🔪🔪 5. When you see the 4th instance of rain blades, now you can do a charged attack to continue maintaining 3 mirrors. 6. Do normal attacks to procc another 2 instances of rain blades. _(Total of 6 consecutive rain blades at this point)_ 🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪 7. And then you can just spam his infused attacks until his mirrors run out. It takes practice and familiarity to do this. So be patient. But once you nail this, I assure you the satisfaction is awesome!! 🤘❇️
I regret not getting him every time but he came out when I was taking a break from Genshin and just gaming in general. I just got Furina and finished building her about a week ago, but now I’m strinctly saving for his rerun banner. He’s just cool man.

tip for all the f2p out there, you should max out all the free event weapon during event because of the -50% upgrade cost, even if you don't plan to use the weapon right away. It save resources in the long run in case a good unit work well with the weapon.
everybody kept calling him dendro keqing. but honestly feels more like playing childe. I barely notice the similarities with keqing because My focus is on the attack pattern and rotation. also he feels like A hyper carry because the damage is massive when its his time to come out, but the teams he comes with dont feel like a hypercarry support team as well. example i run haitham, XQ, Dmc and kuki. xq dmc and kuki is a viable team. but once u set them up and its al's turn, slaps like crazy
Exactly he is similar to Childe where you set up and rotate then let him go unga bunga but honestly as a Childe haver since day 1 he is way more easier than Childe which I'm kinda grateful for. I think with the dendro Keqing people are looking at his animations rather than overall kit which is kinda understandable but once you start playing him and you understand his stacking mechanism, utilizing Q and R you would definitely see that he is way more complicated than Keqing.
This is my exact team and I agree 100%. Those 3 alone do a lot but once Alhaitham comes out the damage output is actually insane. Anyone that said he'd be bad (a good amount of content creators lol) were delusional. Him being a good dendro dps alone was gonna make him a worthy pull.
similitaries are mainly focused on their animations rather than their like, playstyle-ish E: so yk how you hold keqing E you see the little circle thing where you can specify where to put the teleporting thng? yeah. if you hold alhaitham's E you get the same thing but purple. and also element infusion Q: they both generate a field and they btoh generated a lot of slashes which have a final strike that deals AOE damage !!!
@Mrs. Darcy thats the thing for most main dps that are not hypercarry, the increase in dps is good but not too drastic and can have altarnate main dps as substitute and the results will be the same. for alhaitham, the damage increase is drastic. just like childe or raiden on national. so it feels weird to use it on hyperbloom.
@@ayulilengmian and like i said initially, when you play him, you dont notice it. their playstyle is leaps and bounds different. enough that that you barely notice the animations because your focus is either on the attack rotation or the massive numbers popping up its like having the same body for a car but 1 is stock and the other is souped up. you only know and see the difference once you're the 1 driving.
Excellent. Big thing for me compared to other carries is his teams are so flexible and he deals good damage on his own, so you can basically slot him anywhere. This is especially important compared to other DPS units like Hu Tao or Ayaka which really only have one team archetype.
Well... at least Hu Tao and Ayaka don't need to escale 4 different stats to be playable. Flexible? with high energy cost and unable to be used with Raiden properly? requiring almost always a 2nd dendro unit to act as a mana battery? What comp is better with him instead of Nahida + 2 hydro or 2 electro? also both you mention have a very straightforward rotation instead of Alhaitham that has a very punishing one only to be barely similar in dps. GL trying to get close to the dps of Hu Tao or Ayaka without Nahida/Zhongli as supports, 2 5*...
@@francesccampos1343 I use him with EM Raiden instead of Kuki and he works well for me :) I also have spread team variants with Yae, Fischl, Beidou, Raiden, Kuki, and Lisa with Zhongli and Nahida/DMC/Yaeyao that are really strong too. Easy 36 stars with his team and Childe international. I don't know who Tao is and Ayaka is permanently benched for being shit against bosses like Venti

Literally just 36 Starred the Abyss with him on my first try. Gotta say, despite everybody shit talking him and calling him crap, his Quickbloom comp is quite a strong team!
I actually use a shorter rotation with him splitting the burst and skill into two rotations... his infusion duration actually fits well with the duration of Yae Miko totems. After his infusion ends Yae will need to place her totems again... So my rotation goes like this Zhongli HE>Yae EEE>Venti EQ> Alhaitham Q AAAAAA > Zhongli HE > Yae EEE > Venti QE > Alhaitham ECA AAAAAA > Repeat

the enemies can easily get out of his burst aoe. they should make it bigger, or can stun/ immobilize, or just make the burst activate on the enemy as the center.
I thought I was the only one. I was expecting his ult to trap enemies too, but end up being not the case. It is difficult to aim since a lot of mobs will go close to you and he spawns his ult quite far away from him, still I think his skill kit, seems is not designed to be a nuke burst tope of character, but rather NA CA dendro driver, majority of his dmg just comes from that.🤔 it would have been easier to use him if his ult could trap enemies or just simply didn’t spawn too far away from him. Either way I’m loving him! 😭
@@rav9040 yeah, exactly. Majority of not all of his dmg just come from his E spam of CA NA 😂✌🏻 Edit: still, I think for single target (bosses like) is not bad, as long as they’re not too fast I think the ult feels quite solid in this situations 🤔
I love how Al-Haitham's kit is similar to his character; at first glance it's complicated, but if you put effort in understanding it his kit is easily understandable and makes sense.
He looks so cool and I also vibe with his personality. I tested him out, and it took a little bit to get used to doing certain rotations to play him effectively. Going unga bunga on him, i found, wasnt really optimal on top of just spamming charged attacks. I'm not used to doing certain rotations cuz im a Unga bunga type of person lol. However, I am open to certain rotations, so im gonna knock him out of my list of rerun characters to pull just yet. So ill probably pull him in his rerun depending on if I'm open to master him by practicing. Right now, my focus is on Yelan.
I also like to unga bunga, that's why i like to use Zhongli. However Alhaitham could unga bunga as long we play him just more spam NA & only use CA to infuse.
I waited for him 6 months (since 1st leak). I got c2 and with insane luck (pity 18 - 69 - 10) got his weapon. I'm so happy after those months I can finally be Alhaitham main T^T
Unless I missed it if you’re a whale and you have Alhaitham, Yelan, and Raiden Shogun, Alhaitham completely obliterates everything that so much as looks in his general direction. Combine Yelan’s burst with Shogun’s skill and Alhaitham’s mirrors and you have a team to be reckoned with
Not everyone has the same luck. You could’ve pulled on all of the limited 5 star banners from the aforementioned characters I’ve listed and always fail the 50/50. You made it sound like I was attacking a group of people when in all reality not everyone will have EVERY character
I did em Raiden, Alhaitham and Xingqui. And they're strong and my Raiden's artifacts aren't even on level 20 and she's not even using a dendro artifacts set
@@dylanturner4165 if you're trying to pull on every single banner of course you will fail to get the units you particularly want. As a non-whale, you need to choose, prioritize, and save up primos by skipping many banners. Don't excuse your own lack of impulse control by "only whales have several non-standard chars"
I’m on 60 pity now.. I have worked through 3 banners.. feels good knowing I am most likely going to get him in the next couple of days. My first guarantee!
If you like using bursts then Shogun, yaoyao, Tartaglia, alheitham is quite fun. Basically you get around cds by using bursts. Yaoyao is here as healer, dendro aplication and dendro dmg increase. Shogun is good because he is reliant electro applier and also has good burst. Tartaglia uses ele skill, apply riptide n then bursts. Alheitheim uses ele skill, charge attack and then 10 hit burst. This comps flows quite nicely. You just need to pay attention to bursts cds and Targtalia ele skill cd.

@@AliAhmed-ub4yd My Al Haitham (C0) is using the 4pc gilded dream set and his signature wep Nahida (C0) is using 4pc deepwood (all EM) she has 1000+ EM atm Xingqiu (C6) using 4pc emblem set w/ favonius sword R5 Kuki (C3) is using 4pc gilded (all EM) she also has 1000+ EM and she is using Xiphos Moonlight sword R2, so shes giving about 13% ER to everyone Edit: Also i use favonius on Xingqiu instead of sacrificial because i can already get his burst with just 1 E and i dont have to spend too much time on him
Alhaitham is supposedly coming in 4.7 alongside Chlorinde's banner, after them is Sigewinne and Furina. Thinking of pulling Alhaitham so this was very helpful~. 😙👌🌿🛡
Having him is a good change of pace for me. Instead of pop skill, pop burst, and then you sleep, "unga bunga" Until they can't move, or blindly shooting at the floor because so much sh*ts happening and you just want to get it over with.

He is my favourite character so far. Not only because he is Arab (I'm biased against my own), but because he is my introduction to dendro. I didn't pull for Nahida and I never build my traveller so I was just vibing with my other elements. I maxed him on the first day and good god that man is FUN!!

I think that if you refresh the third mirror with a charge attack before his skill, you have more access to his charge attacks while the passive is on cool down, although this does increase his stamina usage. Since it seems his charge attacks have a separate 2 sec ICD from his normals, this could get you a few more spreads per rotation? Idk, I haven't built mine yet.
Yeah. I tried to explain this to my friend on how to combo him, but they're confused. It's better to told them NA spam & use CA for infusion when they are still learning his combo.
im a little late, but al is one of my fav characters. was a little hesitant when i first pulled him but he's SO WORTH IT. he's incredibly strong and so fun to use
Oh also, quick tip. Just like childe you can look at your skill cd's to know when your 4 seconds of 3 stacks are up and you know when to refresh it.. I don't use this trick though. When the skill you last used goes from 18 to 14 seconds, you know your 4 seconds are up.
Got him REALLY early on a 50/50 and he's now level 80. I mostly use him in my hyper bloom team (Al haithem, Raiden, Kazuha and Xingqiu) and he's super fun to play. Problem is that I don't really have good artifacts for him :(
My favorite team atm is duo carry with Alhaitham/Hyper Raiden/Nahida/Zhongli. Alhaitham and Raiden together share a 20s rotation. It's satisfying to see that after alhaitham's time , I burst with Raiden. Rotation is Raiden E, Zhongli E, Nahida EQ, Alhaitham's rotation, Raiden Q... Rinse and repeat. ER on Alhaitham is 120 and it is enough in my experience
It seems that another rotation you can do is by splitting your alhaitham fieldtime, doing two sets. One with the ulti and the other with the elemental skill and charged attack. Basically doing the same rotation as you would do with a keqing.
Alhaitham needs resistance to interruption. He gets blown away easily just like Wanderer. Alhaitham, Furina, and Kuki Quickbloom is awesome. You can juggle the enemy mid-air.
I was pulling for his weapon, I didn't planned on getting him (I'm a dolfin) got lucky and got the weapon first try at 60 pity and with the leftovers I pulled on his banner for Yao Yao but ended up getting him at pity 20 after I just got raiden... I have been really enjoying him for now, it's the first 5* chara that I have with his signature weapon mostly because it wasn't planned, he is just level 40 and already doing 10k per hit, I can't wait to level him up and give him better artefacts, he is so broken

Started playing 2 weeks ago as f2p, tried to pull for Raiden, but lost my 50/50, kept pulling until the very end and was 4 pulls off hard pity. Was kinda sad, but when I got Alhaitam on my 3rd pull and tried him out, was extremely happy. Daddy is finally home! I skipped him on his first apperance, and the second too on 3.7 version, unfontunetly with Kazuha's sword his weapon came too. I really want to play with dendro on abyss, so nahida can go one side of the abyss, probably he will be the best option comparing with baizhu to go on the other side.
I got too lucky and got Light of Foliar Incision in just 8 pulls. And I am guaranteed on Alhaitham. Wanted to go for c1 Hu Tao after 2 years but since I got both nahida and raiden that's gonna have to wait.
I really like using the Sacrificial Sword on him. anytime a mirror hits or his dash hits, the sword can activate and reset his dash cooldown. Mirror up time for me is waaaay higher with this sword, but I see noone talking about it and was wondering if I am just crazy or are people over looking this because they didnt test it out and see that the mirrors actually proc the swords ability?
