Complete Battery Build Tutorial - Start to Finish 

I'm impressed by the know-how that goes into making a battery. This video definitely proved to me that I'd be better off buying a ready-to-use battery rather than burning my house down.

Here's a tip, you can solder to your nickel strips and then spot weld them onto the batteries. That way you can not worry about heat. It does change your order of operations though, but just something to consider because cold solder joints can lead to problems

Interesting video dude. The right tools make for light work. ;) I didn't have a decent soldering iron, so i instead used a crimper and spade connectors to connect any 12awg wires together. Combined with the plastic heat shrink tubing (with adhesive) seemed a decent fix. Also in the ethos of utilizing as little heat on the cells as possible, i decided to improvise the main power lines onto the negative and positive bus bars, by drilling holes through the nickel strip then using ring connectors via nuts and bolts to fasten them together. After tightening them right up, i then epoxy resined over the fixing, for added stability/security. (vibrations would have a habit of loosening nuts over time i reckon) Way i figure it is if upwards of 500w of power is persistently flowing through a system, you wanna make damned sure that the fixing ent gonna crumble away. I reckon those solder joints on the main power lines could be a weakest link. Having solder in 3 places adds redundancy for sure, but i speculate that a hard fixing point is the way forwards. Meh i'm no professional electrical engineer though tbf ;)

CAN YOU GIVE AN INSIGHT TO THIS PROBLEM PLEASE

Question about the ribbon of balance wires: can't you route them without crossover? It doesn't matter which wire goes to which tab, right?

you state you do not need to do the positives as no current, can i ask how you worked that out, current flows from negative to positives as amps are not used in a circuit but are returned, i have never seen like this before from any other battery builder.

Does the p stand for the group.4 pos 4 neg in each group on each side. Looks like I have seven groups on each side. That would make this a 14 s 4 p . Can someone confirm that. Not making it trying to fix it. 52 volt 20 amp hour

first u should tell the capacity of each cell . if they are 2.6 Ah u can take 48v 10.6 AH 13S 4p , 52 cells but i did one for myself 48v 20AH with 52 cells but they are 21700 5 Ah each .
