We're in Grove City... My next door neighbor's roof flew off and the ceiling is down throughout her house. We have a roof but the floors are falling in. We're currently living in a tent on our property. But the community has come forward and helped out as many people as they can, even the cops have given us MREs and water. I truly love the people here!!!
I was supposed to move in at grove city manor Englewood Fl. But Ian hurricane blew roof off and damaged the building. Repairs are being done. Waited 2 years to move in glad no one was hurt. I'll be there when repairs are finished. God bless.
Grove City is my home away from home for 50+ years even though my parents no longer have a home there. We almost purchased a place last year, but didn’t work out. I still hope to live there one day. This is heartbreaking for our little piece of paradise!
Thank you for this video. I lived in Grove City for 47 years and moved away in April of this year. I've gotten pics here and there from family and friends but this video broke my heart. #Englewoodstrong #Grovecityfamily
My dad had a lot of damage from Hurricane Charlie. If these trailers are sitting on land that is rented they may still owe lot rent even if they can no longer live in the mobile home.
My grandmother had a trailer on Waterside Dr in Grove city I just sold it about a year and a half ago. Was the marina there you showed Stump Pass? I think you were close to her place. I am so wondering if it is gone😔
My news reported that the National Guard was told to leave Florida. That their services weren't needed anymore. It wasn't DeSantos that made the decision. National Guard certainly is needed.
I thought it was FEMA...I was told they were rounding up people under the guise of "we're from the govt, we're here to help" and taking their guns 🔫. They they put them in a prison somewhere. I wouldn't be suprised if the governor wasn't in on it....just my 2 pennies tho...
I’m trying to wrap my mind around the number of “missing “ people..are we just assuming they washed away and never surfaced. We’ve never had this many missing people with all the storms we’ve had..do you have any idea what’s going on with that?
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS that is so hard for me to accept. I feel there’s more to this then our minds can understand ..much love to those going thru this 💕💕💕
Can you please when filming the destruction keep the camera off center and actually capturing the destruction? For example drive a whole street with the camera on the left then another street on the right Thank you, God bless 🙏
Were doing more of this thanks. Normally that lowers average view duration but i could imagine what with hurricane damage its better to do this more thanks.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS yes exactly. People that have stick, brick or mobile homes are all curious how each survived Ian. I found myself pausing rewinding to try to get a few seconds of damage before you changed the camera angle. Please understand I appreciate you taking the time to explore and show us the damage. I am not dogging you at all. I like your videos. We are north of you up in Dade City FL
The residents of Grove City will get aid from FEMA. Media is focusing on Ft Myers, Sanibel and Pine Island, bc large areas were decimated not bc it is a touristic area. Ft. Myers is almost gone! I have friends who lost EVERYTHING. They are Veterans who are homeless now. We just need to continue to volunteer and help with donations. God bless them all!
We escaped to North Port, where it was flooded. My car was submerged overnight. It's a total loss. Then we come home to our house totally destroyed. We didn't lose it all because we still have our lives. We are grateful!!!
Can you show Punta Gorda out on east I would like to see how bad it did all the w Villa view Dr. Is one Place that I would love to See…highway 17 all the way too Arcadia…
Watch the Fox 4 (WFTX) RU-vid video entitled "Rebuilding After Hurricane Ian (Oct. 6)", presented by reporters Trent Aric and Amy Wegman. Their coverage was in-depth, informative, compassionate, and compelling. Not only did they cover the destruction and pain left by Hurricane Ian, but they also offered words of encouragement, interviewed generous people that were volunteering to help the local Harlem Heights (Fort Myers, FL) community rebuild, provided useful information regarding leveraging FEMA in conjunction with their private insurers (if any), temporarily changing their mailing address, getting three hot meals per day, using local churches to receive a fresh shower, to mention only a few of the wonderful nuggets of information and inspirational stories they shared with viewers during the 1:34 hour morning show. Their efforts could only be characterized as reporting at its absolute finest. To the hurting victims of Hurricane Ian, Aric and Wegman, i.e., Fox 4/WFTX, offered hugs and hope, support, empathy, and more importantly, access to a vast network of compassionate citizens and organizations willing to help in their time of tremendous need. God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. ~Psalm 46
Fox in general is making worst news than cnn (if that is possible) i was just on both news channels and its pathetic what this has become. They should ditch fox and get their own platform if they really good. Warning no political or religious views on our channel this is a workplace not a church
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS On the surface, some may find that your comment has merit. However, painting with a broad stroke by generalizing that all local Fox news affiliates' reporting is on par with Fox News Channel is pretty darned misguided. Fox 4 is a local news network whose staff hearts and minds beat with the local peoples they cover. That is the beauty of following local news outlets. You find far more genuine people at that level.
