I grew up in El Pinal. To be exact, I grew up in a house that is now behind the Walgreens in Evergreen. We moved there when I was 5 in 1978. I got made fun of at Bergen Elementary for having a funny accent from southern Ohio. I lost my accent and became a Colorado girl. Saw about 30 concerts at Red Rocks!!
El Pinal = El Pinnal. It is not El Peenyal. I sent links to my folks in Evergreen. I grew up on El Pinal St. I know how to pronounce it. Yes, El Pinal is a neighborhood.
Tell me what are the speed limits up there, how do people drive ? Out here in Phoenix we drive 80+ on the freeway most people push 50 on the side streets.
The terrain always keeps you honest. It’s more about how fast you can go while still staying on the road. Main rule is just move over if somebody’s trying to go faster because a 4runner can handle everything better than a Prius.
