If you want to grow algae, you are looking for Guillard's f/2 Formula. Otherwise you should look into Spirostomum cf. ambiguum, a big unicellular ciliate that is easy to cultivate. Also Moina, they are easier to breed than Daphnia and smaller. Both can survive indefinitely in fresh water. Also you can look into using IV-drip like systems to feed those to your youngest fish continuously. Another thing to look into is dero digitata, a worm of about the size of the Grindal, but benthic/aquatic, it survives for longer and swims around in the aquarium. For anything bottom dwelling, banana worms and the larger micro worms are a very good choice. Banana worms and vinegar eels seem to survive quite long if not eaten...

I think you should create a flake mix and sell it. Buy a bunch of brands in bulk and mix the flakes together. This way regular hobbyists can buy the mix and have a varied flake mix.

And yes, Daphnia/Moina are pretty much the first organisms to die when there's something in the water that shouldn't be. I use Moina to make sure that materials I use in aquariums are reasonably safe.

Hey there , I have a question for you. I have herd that Texas has very had water,so do I here. Have you ever bred Panda Cories in that water or have you had to get an RO unit?

Was wondering when you'd be like miracle grow was a bad idea. Learned to use fish safe products awhile back myself wich you would think as fish keepers we'd automatically know to do..lol Good idea though started green water culture for my fry as well however I will supplement with infusoria cultures as well for thefirst couple weeks. Just my thoughts on it
