Now that we've out to our family's 1000 acre ranch its time to add to the channel farm and ranch activities! Join me as we look at getting ducks, chickens, cows and more fish!
What an excellent video! You covered the choices in materials and construction. Which might never occur to most people. This makes life so much easier. Thanks for taking the time to share your ideas. 👍
I'm in the UK, and my mother is 86 years old now. I remember her telling me when she was a child that they used to have chickens and guinea fowl. She said that at night , they would roost up in the tall oak trees, and would always make a lot of noise if anything or anyone was lurking around, so like good guard dogs.
That is a horse crippler cactus. Yes, that's the real name. And yes, they are a cool cactus. The flowers are beautiful. It should get a red fruit on top.
If you dig down about 6 to 8 in and put the hardware cloth / fence stuff there, it will help keep snakes and other digging pests out. I do that with my aviaries and chicken coops here west of Ft Worth
In dusty horse barns mine get sweaty and dirty. I’ll rinse them well in the sink each day. They are also mostly the lightweight Nike dry-Fit material too. Doing this they hold up well and aren’t gross!
That is a diamond-backed watersnake nonvenomous. Very common. You might also run into some plain-bellied watersnakes. I would be extremely unlikely for you to have a water moccasin in any of your ponds. You are probably more likely to win the lottery.
@@JadrenAquatics They've actually never been documented in your area. The the closest they come to you is Graford or Jacksboro. The nonvenomous water snakes are plentiful.
Glad to see you back. I’d recommend against Highlands if you’re trying to make money with them. I kept a large herd of them for years. They’re awesome animals but not profitable. South Poll cattle is where it’s at. Wishing y’all the best!
I've got at least 6 turquoise rainbowfish fry. I removed a large mass of plants from my tank with 6 very young (1.2-1.5") fish and put the plants into a bucket. 6 days later I see at least 6 fry, likely way more (my eyes are not so good). I am not prepared but I have raised angelfish and cories in the past. Might flake food mashed in a mortar and pestle be small enough for them?
lol yeah I was told they were perch by my parents, then I took a trip to Michigan to fish with my grandpa and he was calling an entirely different fish a perch. I was so so confused.
