Thank you for your feedback! Let us explain a little about sun and moon energy. Mudras function as a unifying force to bring together and balance the body through the hands. As we have two hands, so too do we have two sides of the body; solar energy on the right side and lunar energy on the left side. The Gyana Mudra, for example, connects the right solar prana via the Pingala Nadi to the left lunar energy via the Ida Nadi. Mudras work to singularly stimulate solar or lunar energy too. Hope that clears things up for you!

Thanks for the simple way of delivering a great knowledge. Please inform when to do and minimum time duration and any daily schedule to get minimum benefit of mudras as a beginner.

Thank you for your kind words. A goal of 10 minutes to one hour per day, five to six days per week would be a sensible place for most people to start. Often, people set their expectations too high. They plan how much time they will spend each day, or how many times per day, and are discouraged when they aren’t able to meet that target. Discouraged people tend to give up. Instead of setting a high target, set a more achievable one. Commit to doing something every day - but acknowledge that ‘something’ might only be a few minutes.

Mudras have a very subtle effect and the chance that applying a certain mudra will have a (noticeable) effect on your body weight is very small. We suggest to rather consider other influences such as a balanced diet, sleep and stress management.

I would like to share that the pointer and thumb position did something important after a long time. There seemed to be energy looping from my thumb to forefinger, as if that energy normally leaves the tips. As my body was falling asleep the mudra kept my mind awake. I guess I’m reiterating some of the info here but it lead to one of the most powerful experiences I’ve ever had.

Thankyou so much for Explaining these mudras so precisely. I am doing all of them and some others too but its so important to know what one is doing... I always thought chin mudra and gyan mudra was the same ...God bless Pranaam. 🙏
