@eliminatorvr1350 That does make me wonder. During the Fallen Empire invasions, Cetana sends fleets into systems she doesn't control, and that players can at least theoretically access. Could a sufficiently trigger-happy empire stall her in phase 1 by teaming up with the Fallen Empire and making sure they aren't wiped out? The Titan probably stays within her borders, so winning in phase 1 is out of the question, but I don't think her win condition progresses either.
@@jacobhanson8083no, if you join a fallen empire and are dragged into war with her, her ships take 0 damage and she summons wormholes in your territory
Something that isn't mentioned in this video is that there is actually an alternative way to defeat Cetana. If you have access to the Shroud, you can commune with the Animator of Clay entity, which was what originally allowed Zarqlan to defeat and seal her away. Pay its price (27182 Zro, a planet or your current ruler) and it will disable Cetana's colossus for a year. You now get a new situation where you must bring a transport ship to her and keep it there for a month. If you succeed the crisis will immediately end, as you have now reprogrammed Cetana to realize the error of her plan and will give you control of her colossus instead of the relic you otherwise get for defeating her.
I dont think you get all at 200x, you get 1 at 25x, 1 at 50x, 1 at 100x, and 1 at 200x. Each successive crisis gets twice as hard as the previous one. Without mods anyways.
I wonder if being a nanite swarm will have a special interaction with her nanite swarm, similar to what happens with the contingency and psionic empires
i belive it not. from what i see she is a flat event who think is a crisis half of space rift have more sotry that she do. she not even care you are a robot or lithoid ect
Technically the Contingency was the first added crisis, it came in a patch alongside Synthetic Dawn and it replaced the AI rebellion which was the third crisis at the time, Synth Queen is definitely the first crisis that requires a DLC though.

Spoilers if you haven't watched the whole video: Cetana is basically what I thought the Witness from Destiny lore was going to be. An ancient being who witnessed so much pain and loss that it decided life or consciousness was the greatest mistake and sought to eliminate it, creating an empty universe devoid of it. Unfortunate that Bungie went with "Douchy alien with a superiority complex". As if that trope hasn't been beaten to death already. Nice to see an ancient threat who isn't comically evil.
i think she more like amun from starcraft btw then witness, because witness dude race wanted to freeze time at very cool moment. and when traveler run away they do Roskomnadzor(suicide). amun want to crash cycle of pain and hattred and replace all life in his likeness
@@morgenmuffel733 The point I was making is that before they revealed the truth about the Witness, I was theorizing that it was like Cetana. Instead, Bungie went the Saturday morning cartoon villain route and kinda ruined the character for me. Personally, I blame the people responsible for Lightfall's story.

I don't think so. She'll still make demands, and you still have to figure out a way past the nanite swarm before you can go expunge the xeno-toaster that dared force you to have an interaction besides insulting your dying foes.
You won't even need Cetana to defeat you, your computer will self-destruct and take you with it for the torment you're putting it through with corvette spam.
I have a build suggestion for a video that might surprise you, Shattered ring worlds and trade habitats are a thing of the past as a new super OP trait got added to the game without anyone noticing. I am talking about the OVERTUNED trait COMMERCIAL GENIUS. It provides +25% TV from jobs (probably the best modifier possible for Trade empires) at just 1 trait point and -10 leader lifespan By itself its mediocre at best BUT it can be stacked with the other TV from jobs traits ( both thrifty and trading algorithms) AND you can double it s effects with the Damn the consequences edict for +100%TV from jobs which is overall 33% more TV compared to last patch. To make this even better you could use the merchant guilds council position buuuuut theres a better option. With the cosmogenesis crisis path you can acces fallen empire buildings that provide MERCHANTS just like in the good old days . As a bonus you can use elevated synapses and augumented intelligence ( with the edict ofc) for +60% research which can dramatically boost tech from OP crisis computer
This update has made the message in a bottle anomaly the best in the game if it makes the archeological site land on the star. Dyson swarm + 1-3 minor artifact deposit on a star is well a little INSANE and give you almost unlimited minor artifacts
Me and my brother are going to do a multiplayer run with all crisis on. I do not expect us to survive the lag. I will probably just shove other empires into the synaptic lathe to stop it. I expect a fallen empire to awaken before she shows up. Hopefully after the contingency
The war in heaven started in my play through and went on about 20-30 years, the crisis started and in a few quick years all the fallen empires were destroyed.. I don’t think it made any difference. I wasn’t fully prepared for it to spawn either and missed the notification she was arriving. To my unpleasant surprise seeing the notifications that both fallen empires had been destroyed was a bit unsettling. So here I am learning how to deal with this lol
So I was little late in reaching system where Cetana convoys were stationed. So the outpost event popped up. I have cleared 4 outposts and convoys are no where to be seen.
Interestingly enough, I ended up getting the fleet power overflow glitch where her skull was replaced with a 1. I wonder what her actual power is at 1x strength and Grand Admiral. She survived for a pretty impressive amount of time against my ~5M fleet when I engaged her in her home system, despite the fact that I was mainly using fallen empire escorts with loads of torpedos.
In my recent playthrough I also saw power of her titan and when starbase was alive it said 5M, but when starbase was down it said only about 276k (I was on either 4.75x or 5x crisis)
She clapped me super hard! I took all her outposts and when it was time to take her out I just couldnt with this battleships design even with almost all buffs (didnt have the X weapon damage from ascension). She has an insane power fleet for the difficulty I was on (admiral 5x). She spawned late with crazy fleets, some 2M fleets, a bunch (I mean a bunch) of 800k fleets, her main ship itself had 8M fleet power with probably another 8-10x 400k fleets on her capital. 3600 nav cap of this battleships got easily wiped on her capital and well can't rebuild 400k alloys when you're on a timer. I think in my game her total fleet power was probably around 30M considering the respawns (I think all 400k fleets are late waves/respawns) ie: she had around 4-5M smaller fleets on her border, I attacked the other side of her empire. first a 2M fleet showed up, then 2x 800k fleets and finally another 2x 750k fleets. The 4M I could see didnt move at all those were all extra ships. Later on her capital I found the 8M ship and 8-10 400k fleets which well I could defeat if I could wait 100 plus months to reinforce all my fleets for over 400k alloys then the time ran out. it was fun

And what about the option where the player needs to "hack her" according to the instructions received from the cover from the Animator of clay (Glory to the Synthethic Gods), and not kill her? After all, in this version (the hacking process takes place during the battle and costs a lot of resources, but), if everything works out, she will survive, become kind and, in gratitude for the fact that you "opened her eyes", she will give you a titan of power 390к
I would like to see a playthrough where you run cosmogenesis as a counter to Cetana. In particular, I think the Riddle Escorts 3 Torpedoes per ship might help
I think a similar design to what we'd use to take out the Unbidden would be good. I've been testing mega cannon battleships with kenetic artillery and whirlwind missiles to counter excessive shields and been fairly successful. Only change seems to be the need for Torpedo support as well for this crisis
The new crisis sounds scary because I normally like having the power of the galactic custodian to make the entire galaxy fight but it seems like it wouldn’t be an option
I imagine the galactic community can still declare her a crisis, just that it's harder to convince everyone to do so? At the very least, surely it has to be an option once she declares all-out-war herself?
@@eliminatorvr1350 Oh, Scions are fine! They're only obligated to join defensive wars, and since their Fallen overlords are technically the ones who declare war on the Crisis, that's considered an offensive war even if it's pre-emptive self-defence.
I played a nanotech maschine empire and just gave the torpedos to the nanite swarmer ships so i just had free torpedo ships to just throw at her wich was quite usefull
I often play Scion Origin… since she always targets the fallen empires first (and wins) does that mean that I’m a dead man walking the minute she spawns in?
She won't attack you, the Fallen Empires are the ones who declare war on her and scions are only obligated to join defensive wars. You get the free fallen empire gifts early on, then get 'liberated' from your overlord in the late game without having to lift a finger (which may save you from being dragged into a fatal War in Heaven too). The only problem, admittedly a seriious one, is you may be left with a wormhole linking your capital to the Crisis' core space.
Just fought her on x25 with nanite ships. Interdictor ships with devastator torpedos then a mix of nanites auto cannons and plasma. Also had 12 230 capacity fleets of swarmers so an ungodly number of interceptors. Good lawd that was a rough fight
I know the solution... A planet craft from the gigastructures? Tbh on vanilla, this is like the final boss of the game, even aside from the other end-game crisis.
I had a glitch where the research project you need to beat her to takes 5000 days. Unless that's sadism on the part of the devs and not a glitch at all.
I came to this video because Cetana's fleets are 7 mil fleet power each and my fleets are 150k power each. Other than "spam small ships" I've learned nothing new in this video, and I am TERRIFIED of when I'll have to fight her.
DO NOT ENGAGE THE QUEEN WHEN THERE'S A SPACE STORM GOING ON. It's difficult to see the space storm where there's a existing nanite storm but make sure you check the tolltip --- Definitely not someone that got wiped by 5X Cetana despite having 9k alloy and 13k science production

Wouldn't it be nice if you could full on ally her if you are a machine intelligence or determined exterminator? Basically have the goals of the machines aligne, especially since become the crisis gives you the option to fulfill her goal (at least from what I understood) alone already.
