So here a tip for newer people wanting to easily counter yasuo. Once you see yasuo is selected on the enemy team, your gonna want to change up a few things. Basically what you do is click the "X" on the top right of your screen and dodge the match.

the really problem is not in yasuo character or even if his skills. the only problem is the player using him.

Let's face it, they could Relaunch Yasuo, and he would still never recover. He, like Riven, and Vayne have developed stigmas around the name itself. The hate will never truely leave the champion.

the reason that people feel like their yasuo always ints and the enemy yasuo always carries is the combination of humans precieving negative things alot more than positive things and yasuo being a very snowbally but also useless when behind champion

My problem with yasuo is that he just does too much. Super strong laning phase with passive and mobility. I can deal with that tho, I'll just play someone strong early, but nah that's also a bad idea because of his double crit passive and q being on hit, meaning he heals from it off normal lifedrain. Yasuo is one of the few champs that can be said to be perfect if played properly

as a Tanksuo main, I hate myself. What I did was this. Statikk shiv< Infinity Edge

Honestly what I hate most about him is the CD on his dash being on each seperate minion/champion as it ends up making him feel very low risk high reward as he can dash in try to kill you and if things don't go well just dash out again with ease, and on top of that he has the wind wall he can throw up behind himself to ensure no stun chases him out.

I always love videos like this. It really shows commitment to making these videos, keep it up! Everyone here will obviously want a Riven one next (me too) but what about Ryze? Isn't he the most reworked champ? Could be interesting.

My main problem with Yasuo over the years is not how strong he is or how people use him, but the character's kit itself. It has so much going for it that every other champion pales in comparison. Base stats - Average strength with below average defensive stats. Above average range and movement speed compared to other melee champs - The below average defensive stats are mitigated by his passive as well as his wind wall. Meanwhile he has above average stats in the offensive department. Also has the bet kind of resource, which is none. He does not run out of mana or require to recharge stamina. He also has low cooldowns on all of his abilities except for windwall, which is usually the downside to champions hwo do not have a resource for abilities. Passives - 2 passives. One for offense and one for defense. The shield can be acquired ever 20 second or so, meaning every 20 second he gets a 50~ shield (At level 1 the shield gives 100 but usually you poke him to drop the shield. This means a weak move is used that at best will probably do half to the shield.) The other passive makes any item he buys that has critical chance worth more gold than they are. Since the typical build for yasuo has a siv and infinity edge, both those items give more stats than they should while also mitigating the small penalty of doing 10-25 percent last damage per crit depending on the move he uses. He is able to get 100 percent crit chance must sooner and by using fewer item slots on it, which allows him to buy tanky stats if he is behind or livesteal stats if he is winning. Q - low cooldown meleeish poke that goes through minions. After 2 qs the next one sends out a whirlwing - This whirlwind is a large projectile compared to any melee champ that has a ranged attack and it has a range of 900 which is longer than most projectiles, especially for melee champs. Then the whirlwind ccs if it hits. Not only that, but it is the best kind of cc, which is knockup. knockup time cannot be reduced by tenacity, and cannot be gotten out of which quicksilver sash or clense. W - long cooldown wall that stops all projectiles that touch it and makes them disappear - The wall has no counter play for about 2-3 seconds after it is used. It auto stops any projectile it touches, and the enemy champ has to get around it in order to attack yasuo. Yasuo is also allowed to dance around it, making it closer to a guessing game on where and when to shoot projectiles. This move plus his shield passive makes it hard to poke him down in lane. He can potentially nullify 2 abilities by absorbing one with the 100 shield and another with the wall. Keep in mind that in the early levels mid laner's moves cost a lot of mana, so while yasuo can regain both of his defensive abilities in 20-30 seconds, it would take much longer to regain that amount of mana. The shield also does not work like other shields where the best way to deal with it is to throw more abilities at it. Braum shield, morgana shield, nocturne shield, sivir shield and so on have a limited amount of uses in a time before they are broken. the wind wall does not. For about 4 seconds the wall can block an unlimited amount of cc and damage. E - extremely low cooldown dash that goes through enemies and damages them - Both a defensive move to evade abilities and an offensive move to chase down champs. In lane he has anywhere from 3 to 8 dashes depending on how many minions there are. He can also dash into a whirlwind which will knock you up. That move is extremely fast and is a point and click cc. Running away from yasuo in lane forces you run past you minion which will give him 2-3 dashes and then he can dash off you. The mobility is limited when in the jungle, but no such problem occurs when fighting in team fights. A full late game team fight means that Yasuo can have 5+ dashes for free and each one of them does damage. R - jumps to a knocked up champ and deals damage to them. Those targets also take increased damage from crits - The animation that plays takes 1 second. The knockup from his whirlwind lasts 1.5 seconds. In theory a melee champ can cc a whole team for 2.5 seconds by himself. No melee champs except hardcore tanks or bruisers like wukong and malphite can do that. What Yasuo has that the other 2 don't is incredible damage due to the crits amplification he gets from the ult. The range of 1400 and no other limit means that a yasuo can jump from over 2-3 walls in the dark without you being able to see him. His ult also auto corrects to be outside of tower range if possible. The Yasuo no longer has to consider the distance the tower can shoot as he can not ult and allow the game to auto correct any miscalculation that was made. To me, it does not matter if Yasuo does 1 damage or 1 million damage. His kit is completely overloaded compared to almost every champion in the game. He has a tool for almost any situation, and the fact that he scales so well means that even if early on the yasuo starts losing, eventually the yasuo will be great. That might take 5 minutes or 50 minutes, but a game that goes for 60 minutes means that no matter what mistakes were made before, the yasuo is now one of the strongest characters in that game due to his scaling. This is why in my opinion, Yasuo is an overpowered champ. Not for the damage he can do, but by all of the things he can do.

Honestly, yasuo is always a insta ban for me unless someone on my team wants to play him (Playing as Lux or not). To be frank, I don't care if yasuo players just complain about him getting nerfed into the ground, just keep six feet under the ground. But that is just me.

As a Karthus main, Yasuo has always just been another assassin to me. The difference is that I actually think that he's fun to play as and in the current patch, fun to play against. His dash being a set distance means that I can land Qs on him by reading where he will go. He can't block any of Karthus's abilities and can't stay in melee range without getting punished hard for it, so it's definitely not as hard as other mages, but I've found that it's a pretty fair matchup.

Am I the only one who has a problem with his free 50% crit? No? Like 2000 free gold value by simply existing with IE and SS

I guess no one guessed that riot would make sett that can very easily do 1v2 and some times 1v3 even after the nerfs.

Yas is not op anymore but I can't stop hating him for his 2 broken mechanics : 1) he gets crit chance for free which is one of the most expensive stats in the game and that makes him deal 4 items adc dmg with only 2 items (and I don't think this is OK) 2) as a ADC/mage midlane player i mostly use characters with projectiles so yeah, a basic ability that just denies everything I can use is annoying. Other than that he is pretty OK I guess

As a Vlad mid main, I love facing against Yasuo. One of the easiest match ups I could ask for.

The sense of balance is more important than actual balance. Whatever yasou’s state of balance is, he always feels OP, simply due to how much free shit he has in his kit. No spell resource, short CD, double crit, almost infinite mobility, free shield, aoe CC, and a wall that blocks even lock on projectiles. Regardless of how riot tweaks his numbers, he will always feel op. People hated teemo not because of how good of a champion he is, he was never THAT strong. You never see an out of control teemo the way you do other hyper carries. But he feels cheap. It feels cheap to be killed by a shroom, or not being able to kill him due to blind. Yasou is the same. It always feels like whoever playing yasou has an unfair advantage, because his kit is overloaded enough to be shared among 2 complete champions.

I've noticed that unless Mastery 7, most Yasuo's are kind of bad and you can capitalize easily of their mistakes. But if he is Mastery 7... *oh boi*

The thing about Yas is that people think he’s the “cool samurai character they see in anime” and after seeing people like yassuo, arkadata and other good yasuo’s, they think “how hard can he be?” And end up inting, but keep trying because they wanna get to a high level, before they actually learn how the game works.

13:40 I mean, sure, yes, a team can play around their Yasuo a lot better in competitive. However, the enemy team can also just camp the Yasuo a lot better in competitive too.

Nice video bud. I always permaban Yasuo, not because I don't like playing against him in lane, its because he has the Nidalee effect. Your team, 0/10 feeder who blame his jungler and team for feeding in lane. Enemy team, 8/0 and solo carrying the game.

I don't get why if anyone's playing yasuo mid and he has some sort of trouble in lane and loosing it, he gets the brunt of the flame even though there's a 1/19/0 vayne at top lane

Im too old now. The last time i play League is when Yasuo was the latest hero release. Still remember those year that they keep adding champs for like every few weeks/months. Its hard to choose a main.

As a main Yasuo i really love how u made this video. U can hate him or love him, or both but u most of the people hate him because they dont really understand his strength and weakness. Just play champions with hard cc or heavy bruisers and Yasuo its over, simply as that.
