Awesome, probably the best Fallout 4 mod showcase video I've seen in years. Because it's not just a random showcase, it's a collection of mods with a goal in mind. Trust me, keep making videos likes this, keep getting better at script writing, put some entertaining bits here and there then boom, 1 mil subs. God luck bro.
Thank you so much for the shout out. I really appreciate it. I want to upload more frequently but I’m at a busy point in life in high school, I have a railroad overhaul in the works. It’s about 80% done. Again, thank you so much for the encouragement.
Wonderful choice of mods. Always love seeing people take the time and effort to put together a list to improve factions out there. Interested to see if you plan to do the same for the other factions out there, even the smaller ones. Subbed :)
@@AdamMarashio hoping maybe they will get ported someday or they'll add support for it, because alot of the mods I see in these videos look absolutely amazing
It’s really unfortunate because it’s been so long that I don’t think they will. I originally played on PS4 and that was even worse than Xbox because of custom assets not being allowed
@@AdamMarashio yeah it's a shame about ps4 I hear that alot, I mean as an xbox player I just try make do with the mods we have access too but definitely still enjoy the videos and fantasising about what we could have
Only 2k subs? This is some solid content, bro. You’re incredibly well spoken, and this video felt well thought-out and properly paced. I look forward to seeing more videos from you!
The Institute in the vanilla game disappointed me so much and all of these mods actually make them cool despite their bad and lazy writing. Thank you for spotlighting these really cool mods
If only there were mods to improve the actual story in Fallout 4 by expanding the factions and actual RPG elements. Though with AI voices becoming more prevalent, hopefully it’ll happen sometime in the future. Nonetheless, great video. Hope to see similar videos for the other factions.
I know. That’s the one thing that irks me. You can have as many mods as you want but expanding the actual story is very hard. There are some mods to help make factions at peace with others but there’s nothing to expand it further than just peaceful/hostile.
For all the talk of being "modern saviors of the humanity" (in their own twisted crazy way) Institute was truly disappointing in vanilla. As with most thing with Bethesda who doesn't want any updates on their outdated engine, it was a small shiny kind of boring location. These mods give it at least how we all IMAGINED it should have looked like
The AER15 Laser Rifle as well as the X12 Plasmacaster mod fits perfectly for the Institute as well since the faction is basically a cutting edge marvel of the future. I mean the aesthetics fit perfectly for that. KB-47 also made a pretty amazing Institute clothing/armor replacer that turns them into a modernised futuristic cyberpunkish style (mostly inspired by Deus Ex, Terminator and Titanfall). Really impressive.
That idea of the Sole Survivor being a Synth would have been such a great idea narratively! I especially think that not only would it add a unique twist to how you typically start the game as a human and later in a twist of events discover you are in fact not. Not just that but I feel it would also add more to factions like the Institute and even the Railroad. Imagine in a alterative storyline the Railroad are still all about freedom, but not for Synths which they view as just another machine. However, when its revealed that the player is a Synth, and depending on your choices and relationships with the other factions. It would completely upend the way the Railroad had viewed Synths. I like to think the faction would feel conflicted as now they know that some Synths are capable of sentience, as evidenced by the player. But just because one of them was able to achieve sentience, does that mean that other Synths are also sentient? Or are they still just machines? Does every Synth deserve to be treated with the same respect as a human? The whole theme of how people treat different groups of people has always been a key element throughout the Fallout series, and I think this would have been a brilliant way of doing that. But that is just my personal thoughts on the matter
Any mods to let you work wiyh the institute and another faction? I saw a video where Sarah Lyons its alive and somewhat suggest to work with the institute instead of destroying them, as they REALLY can help humanity
Thank you for showing us these mods. As a pro-Institute player these really help add some depth and customization and changing course better (even if it's mostly just self-immersed)
I honestly really prefer fathers green sweater because he's trying to present as simply wanting the best for humanity a kind man your son. when in actuality he's just a fascist
It’s my own custom outfit I made. I’m pretty sure it’s the antique synth armor as a base. A black medium synth torso. Kellogg’s armor on the arm, the wrap of bullets on the bicep, and the optic eyepatch are all in crimson riders accessories. the gloves are the arm guards in brown original from the CROSS strigidae outfit, the mask and hood come from the mercenary outfit pack which has a mash up of different clothes and armors, for the hood I think it’s called wastelanders hoodie but I could be wrong, and the mask is a respirator and I chose the point scheme (you’d have to look through them I can’t remember what it was called) for the legs I usually used the classic combat armor mod in a snow color.
just discovered this vid as I’m starting an institute play through, absolutely going to see if I can utilise some of these if they’re on Xbox, i was drawn by the yellow laser for the institute weapons tho, what mod causes that? Looks so much better than blue
As I always seem to point out institute weapons are technically better than pre war weapons they may do slightly less damage with each shot but fire quicker meaning that for every three shots you make with a pre war laser rifle you can do four in the same amount of time with the institute ones the problem with the institute laser weapons is that they are to bulky compared to the pre war counterparts which are much more slimline and easier to handle
Please tell us the mod name of those laser projectile? One thing I like to add that is Courser Crusher's weapon too OP, like too much, even with Power Armor you still die in 2 seconds so I dont recommend it. The mod author seem didnt know how to balance the damage.
You definitely make a good point with CC. Might have to add a damage rebalance to fix it. Also the laser projectile mod should be listed in my sci-fi overhaul showcase.
I'm not sure if the issue is still present or if it was just an Xbox issue, but I remember the science suit having issues with breaking aqua boy/the rebreather not working. And the synthetic heavy armor would break jumping while worn. Maybe im just unlucky but I hope those are fixed (or if they already were they get fixed for the Xbox version).
Some gems in here, got most of them to work without a CTD. I didn't add any of the weapon mods, I just think the Technology Overhaul covers all your needs imo and you don't need to buff the institute weapons with this mod. Didn't try any of the Weapon, Food or the Flag Rextures. However these all gave me CTD (I tried them one at a time, and have over 600 plugins, so these might work for other people): Phase 4 Expansion, Glowy Fusion Cells Requirements (never tried the actual mod) and Courser Crusher.
Thanks so much for the comment, I agree that you can easily use ITO for the weapons. I had CTD for courser crusher only because awhile back I was trying different courser mods and they conflicted heavily. As far as the others go I’m sure there’s probably just a conflict with one of the 600 plug-ins considering how much room there is for something to not work.
@@AdamMarashio I ended up trying the retextures out and no CTD. Just wanted to say all those mods are cool, its why I was willing to risk my rickety load order lol!
Most of these mods I wouldn't consider upgrades. Most visual stuff just makes things dark and grimy. Meh. That's all just for boring and depressed people. No thanks. Also think for a second about some Institute weapons being worse... that's logical. They're not manufacturers. They have limited resources. It's impressive enough to see what they've done.
That’s completely fair. Unfortunately there aren’t many mods that are dynamic and change how it functions besides some mods that effect every faction like Fallout Commander. And I can see your point on the institute weapons. I’m looking at it from the perspective that you have sided with them and have completed the game and should have access to what they reaped from the other factions.
