14:45 Hello, Japanese here, and let me add this. We also say "ni jussai" for 20 years old as well as "hatachi". I say both sound natural, though Perhaps we use Hatachi a little more often.
I really like this condensed, cut-down version of the videos! The occasional "cuts" make it seems faster paced and more interesting. I hope you do this for the other books, but also add some clarity about some parts that were not explained properly / had mistakes in them.
thank you for putting up all of these videos and teaching us how to speak japanese, these have been the only way so far that i have been able to start getting my head around the basics whilst i save my pennies for the book
Mr George I wanna thank you so much , before finding your videos and your book I was studying from a book called genki and that made me wanna drop learning japanese because it bombarded me with grammer , kanji ect all from the get go . But when I saw your book and your videos , you explain things very simply and step by step which I absolutely love now am on the end of book 3 and am so grateful for you because otherwise I would have dropped learning japanese a long time ago .
Im a self learned Japanese language but still its hard to work with it, thanks for all youtubers who teaches us and giving us everything so that we could learn Japanese Language. :)
@@unknownperson7382 I finished book 1 a few days ago and now I’m on book 2. The end of book 1 is a bit hard. Now with my little knowledge imma go watch some of my fave Japanese RU-vidrs -kimagure cook -minori (mini Cute club)

best video ever ! I feel like this should be done for every language. I wonder if I did loose so many hours just learning with my book. Everything is clear. The book I use makes things all complicated.

im going to have to watch this over and over for a while, but im pretty excited, i want to get the japanese from zero book and start practicing, i also practice drawing manga shoujo style.
Today I'll watch the lesson 6 of this series and I'm loving it SO MUCH, I was so happy when I bought the book because the video lessons are amazing and today I just think it was my best purchase EVER, I feel like I'm improving so fast 😂💕

Best book series I've ever bought. It makes understanding Japanese concepts soo much simpler than Genki or any other books. especially if you're self studying. YOU GUYS BETTER RATE THIS BOOK SERIES 5 STARS. I hope u keep up the language teaching. 草草
Hey George, thanks for all the work you've put into these books. JFZ Book 1 was the first Japanese book I went through about a year ago, and it was a great introduction. I'm currently splitting my time between JFZ book 2 and Genki book 1 when I have the time between classes and work. Great stuff.
I've watched all of these videos in the long form but I've almost forgotten everything I've learned, thanks so much for making a giant summary! I like watching this for review and it's super helpful! Thanks George Sensei!

I was up to JFZ Book 4, but then took a 3 month break from learning Japanese. I felt like I needed to start over. This video came at the perfect time and reassured me I could catch back up again with a refresh lesson. Hope you come out with similar short-form compilations of the other books! Thank you!

this is making my head spin, trying to learn how all this works. im doing my best to learn japanese. im feeling depressed and frustrated. ive been studying only a few months and im a grown adult. if i keep practicing with the videos will it get easier?
Thanks for your well laid out youtube channel. I'm still working through the playlist for this first book. its helped quite a bit. I just wanna be n5 by this summer. I can already speak, read and understand japanese but I need to learn more words and a few more grammar rules

Just bought the books, in high school trying to fluently learn Japanese so I can move to Tokyo and get a job there after getting a degree here in the states!
im going to ask my spouse if we can get my first book. this is helpful. i do get super nervous and shy when trying to speak japanese . im social but its hard when i dont want to embarass my self. i will keep practicing
ill be honest, im not going to learn alot in one session watching, going to have to watch a handful of times and write things down . i really hope when i also get a book that it helps me. also what is your opinion on the genki books for elementary japanese?
I've started early last year, did good can make simple sentences and know and can write hiragana/katakana and some kanji, but lost most of my determination because of collage, but really hope to get back to it again and i really need to buy those books
I'm not gonna lie. I've been studying the language for a few years now. I have a massive deposit of grammar, vocab, and how the language works crammed into my head. But I'm honestly paralyzed by the idea of making a mistake. So much so that when I try.......... I can't say anything. It's like I lock up and haven't learned anything. I have the same problem when I try to write and I don't trust anything I try to write I have to look it up to make sure I'm right or when I read and I'm so busy staring at all the words that I exhaust myself in dread. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to change that.
Start with one word, just one word, add another if that feels right. You have to put a frame around your thoughts. The frame of one word. Add another if it feels right.
Please make a video of you singing “10 little Indians” in Japanese from Japanese from zero 2 on (physical book) page 106. Lesson 4, 4-2, page 106. I just don’t understand the beat, no matter how much I re-listen or re-sing it. When I get up to the “（ー）にんの Indians” I always lose the beat.
