The importation of Celicas from the United States to Mexico is no longer allowed because they are old. The government is considering allowing it and I hope it will be possible. If not, one day I will get a bad one and I will have to invest a lot of money in it.
Awesome to see a 7th gen brought back instead of dumped off and a junkyard. I've got an '05 gt that's 100% stock with a manual transmission. Amazing car, can't buy anything new these days that's anything like it.
It looks great, but forgive me for saying that an uncommon color would've fit it better. I want to paint mine in Avery Dennison Dark Green Pearl Gloss someday.
Quick question are you going to get new side windows for the rear? Also how where you able to take it out? There information on youtube but there must be a easier way to do it the breaking it and replacing it with a new one.
We managed to save the rear windows by using an inductor to heat up the metal which burned the paint off which resulted in the urethane coming loose, once there was a big enough gab you can use a knife for most of it, we just used the inductor for the hard areas. They are known for being very hard to come out if you aren't patient or don't have an inductor so idk all I can say is take you time with a knife, possibly heat it up from the inside if you can and maybe it'll come out maybe it'll break like one of ours did. We had a parts car that had 2 more though so we took those ones out to use on this car.
