quick note, sevens striker is unimaginably overpowered, its available pre-providence, and if you have a lot of platinum, using it to only roll jackpots results in an 8 shot providence kill, it will also carry you to post DoG and can even be used on yharon and scal, not sure why its not included, but i thought id mention its sheer power in case anyone was curious, its practically pre-nerf pumpler for post ML

The aquatic scourge ranger weapons are stupidly overpowered, very surprised they aren't on the list Also the conference call is very powerful, much better than the recommended weapons

THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED

I'm doing a ranger Infernum playthrough and just wanted to say that the Arbalest wit holy arrows is a HARD carry, like I used it until I got the Tsunami carry and also here are some tips I found out, in my opinion a 100% crit build is best for the Arbalest, additionally for max damage and crit % early replace the deadshot thing with something that gives more crit and/or damage % before the recon scope like the destroyer emblem.

Heres what i did: - grab whatever i can at the start - build housing at best 10 - straight into the mines - farm money, and get bombs - buy bombs from demo - get musket - proceed to take out all bosses until WoF - get beenade - fight WoF - and fish for the next few hours - the rest is just progression by fighting the bosses along the list

Oh, huh. The crackshot colt has like, a little recoil animation. Don’t know why the lack of it on other guns has never occurred to me, but now that it has they feel incomplete.

the blowgun with ichor darts is a really good weapon it can carry you all the way to plantera its super underrated thanks for the guide aswell! 👍 edit: its obtainable instantly after beating the WoF and can be bought from the witch docto

Vortex popper can carry you up to dog if used well with terra bullets and vortex armor, i did constant 15k dps. I even tried it on master + death mode with a other player, so it can be insanely good on lower difficulties

Just a quick note, cryobars haven’t been dropped by cryogen for me. I had to go mine it in ice caverns

I found blossom flux INSANELY good, outperforming most Pre-Lunatic Cultist weapons (maybe except Blight Spewer against grouped enemies). Also I think Shroomite Armor is a little bit better then Plague Reaper Armor, mainly because it gives more defense and % damage

A really good wepon post hive mind/preferators is the flurry storm cannon does a lot of damage

Id honestly say pre mech that Crystal armor (Drops from queen slime) is slightly better than palladium because it lets you get rid of your shield of cthulhu for any other accessory (Set bonus is dashing) in exchange for less ranger damage but more defense, which i would choose but its preference honestly.

Insanely good tip: the "sea's searing" is probably one of the best pre-plantera weapons, its dropped by the aquatic scourge and if your having trouble fighting him, use the meowthrower (wof flamethrower) bc it pierces and has insane dmg. Also in the backround for plantera he is actually using the sea's searing. I was even able to kill golem with it. A bit challenging though

The polaris parrotfish is amazing right out of pre hardmode and can easily take out prime and twins

Tip: you can actually get most of the pre golem stuff before plantera (e.g megaladon, shroomite armor ect)

Sadly the adamantite particle accelerator doesn’t pierce anymore Nvm it does

Tip if you kill atrum deus pre plant you can get some good weapons

quick note if this isnt your first play thru and you are the best player known to man kind u can get halibut cannon pre yharon or even like providence i think

actually for me the hallowed repeater does way more dmg than adamantite particle accelertor and mega shark, same with meow thrower

plauge tained smg is so good after plaugebringer dude it kills bosses in seconds and its kinda easy to get but it does need uzi

if your on infernum and every boss is cancer I suggest just buying spiky balls from the goblin tinkerer and use those for eow, it works amazingly

I know this might be out dated, but I wanted to say there is 1 weapon good at shredding everything before and at providence it’s called prideful planar I think

note, the onyxia wasnt in pre yharon for some reason even tho it is a cheap and powerful weapon. its really good, if your doing a ranged playthrough you should get it. edit: also, use god slayer slugs. it does alot of damage.

In my opinion, auric tesla armor is better than demonshade. Just because it has a lot more damage. And Exo bow (I don't remember it name) is the most op bow in calamity, charged shot do 200000-300000 dmg/s with tesla armor

In what point does reaper amor can replace shroomite people ? The thing provide less damage,less def and freaking blind you to give a literally so little damage buff which is just a few damage higher than shroomite

PRO TIP FOR INFERNUM WALL OF FLESH: use the Overloaded Blaster, and you will wipe the floor with that thing

You forgot about the Molten Fury and the Eviscerator for Pre-Skeletron. You could technically get the Molten Fury before the perforator/hive mind

I might not be the biggest calamity veteran but from my own experience and looking at other videos players really should look at their accesories. What i mean by that is for example why bother wearing ankh shield on bosses? sure 12 defense sounds cool untill u learn that having accesory just for this is pointless because of the options available. Im pre-plantera at the moment of typing this. Wings, Angelic tracers, ornate shield for dash, emblem(normal), luxor's gift for bullets rockets darts and quiver for bows and reapeters and lastly - Amalgamated brain which is very good hybrid option. 10% dmg + 90s dodge that can save you from that one accidental hit while building adrenaline. Thats for bosses and also has a nice AoE confusion for normal farming/whatever. Since the very beggining i could craft it, i ran with it up until calamitas clone. My point is to always look what can be useless for farming or whats useless for bossing and switch around. For the future id include some of these as well: amalgamated brain specific biome accesories (ie. living dew) worm scarf (10% DR is huge considering "defense" stat is garbage) ANYTHING WITH A DASH - shield of cthulhu -> counter scarf -> ornate shield w/ daedalus armour luxors gift still does great even in early hardmode WEAPONS: literally this: minishark(high attack speed makes the acid medalion fire a lot of projectile which outdps anything else) -> flurrystorm cannon in early game early hardmode? needler/butcher/daedalus(for worms) -> sea searing(although rarer than other aquatic scourge drops) Also not sure why most people put aero stone or frog legs in there. Its absolutely useless LOL anyway god bless people like you for doing good content for lesser knowledgable players

Uhh for pre mech (1) you listed Holy arrows as an ammo, however you can only make Holy arrows at a Mythril anvil, which is a post mech (1) ore. Anybody got any information about this?

Idk, you said that using Pumpler is a good idea, but this weapon is worse than Minishark with flashrounds, maybe you play on classic (I play on master + rev.), idk it's kinda garbage ngl, but rest of the guide is still amazing, thanks

Is there a different bow that is still good for the pre providence phase? I want to know this because Im not a big fan of the clockwork bow and the charge time is pretty annoying. And I am wanting to play mixed class with ranger and melee. Should I use the vortex armor or solar-flare? Is it even a good idea to play mixed class with these 2 classes?

For pre cultist to a little after pre moon lord I prefer shroomite armor, I found it way easier to kill some bosses I struggled on with this set and it also tanks the cultist fight pretty easy

Guys Just let you know if you are playing calamity ranger Use The Malestorm in DoG fight I just kill this mf almost nohit 1st try in about 2,5-3 minutes(with 3 adrenalines use) For example, i kill DoG 1st try too But in 13-15 minutes, so The Malestorm in DoG fight is thing that make DoG fight like a Ez stupit 2+million hp worm
